“Fork Lift by Nugget Markets is a gem! The deli offers an incredible selection of sandwiches—fresh, flavorful, and well-crafted. My go-to sandwich is either the “Texas Hold’Em” or “Calistoga”.
The store itself is clean, well-designed, and has a high-quality selection of groceries. Definitely worth a visit!”
“I love coming here; prices are good and there is often something new & interesting. I'd never noticed this bread at other stores and it makes good sandwiches when toasted. The staff are polite and friendly. I worked in a family gro store many years ago, and I know that it is not easy to keep a store like this humming. Well done, guys.”
“Great deals! Great produce! Just make sure you pay attention to the prices as they scan. I've had several instances of the price being higher then labeled on the shelf. The cashiers are generally friendly, but in my experience the managers can be rude and dishonest when it comes to the price discrepancies. I've also had issues with them just throwing anything in the bags while bagging and crushing the bread or produce . However, if you say you want bag it yourself they seem to get very insulted. You can not beat the prices though. It's just very hit or miss. We just have a list of the essentials they always have, then search out the deals. Sometimes they have incredible prices on products you will only see once. When you see the deals don't assume they will be there when you come back. Just load up!”
“It's a good place to make a pit stop if you're passing through the quaint little town of Growlersburg . They have a deli , beer and a good selection of snacks .”
“I love their cold foods and absolutely love their hot foods. I get so sad in the mornings because i always tend to miss. Their hot foods. I wish they had more space for more veggie varieties but for the limited space they have I'm not complaining. The workers are always so kind, welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. I greatly appreciate their wide variety of herbs, supplements and holistic items too!”
“What really sets them apart is their selection of high-end bourbon and liquor at unbeatable prices. I recently picked up bottles of Blanton’s, Weller, Pappy Van Winkle, and WhistlePig for much less than I have seen anywhere else. If you are into good whiskey, this should be your first stop because there is nothing else like it anywhere in town. If you have not been since the remodel, do yourself a favor and check it out. There’s nothing like it in the el dorado county area.”
“You can get great organic produce. Has lactose free options in dairy, but not much in raw dairy options. Some of the breads and other food that brands that we used to buy there have gone away.”
“The owners are always so friendly, and I love that they sell local products, supporting small businesses. They have a wide variety of things like meat, bread, books, oral care, cooking equipment, gluten free options and a ton more.”
“This place is a total gem! My wife found it when looking for a particular bottle of bourbon for me. Not only did she find some extremely rare bottles here, the owners were absolutely amazing and the most friendly people you could imagine. My wife ended up getting me a bottle of Blanton's gold and I picked myself up a bottle of Weller's reserve. Wish I would have found this place years ago!”
“I picked up fried chicken from the deli it was done just like I had ordered i was treated with respect the store was clean i would go back and recommend to shop there”
“This store is a pleasant trip anytime one needs to get groceries. They stock during the night, which is nice as you don’t get disrupted during your shopping trip. I came in to return some cough drops that I bought at another Safeway, no receipt or Safeway account. Danielle helped me out and exchanged them for another type of cough drop with no trouble.Minus a star because the gas station seems to have many pumps out frequently and also runs out of gas completely about once a month. This Safeway also is missing many goods and amenities others have. Coinstar is non functional as of today 12/13/23”
“Good place to grab produce, and has a variety to pick from. Sometimes it's out of what you need but most of the time it's pretty good, definitely better to get there early on days that there are sales going on, cause product can run out fast. There can be lines most of the time cause it's a busy store but the employees are pretty nice. And it's got a deli and a Starbucks so if you need a coffee or to get a bite to eat, it's not bad at all.”
“I stop by this place just about everyday for a couple tall boys and never had a bad experience . Fair prices , decent selection and the staff is always pleasant .”
“Have been going here for years! The owner is so nice & always so helpful. If I am ever looking for anything special he does whatever he can to get it, even my special energy drinks.”
“Great little store. It’s nice to have an affordable place to shop up here, as some of us can’t afford the exorbitantly expensive grocery stores on the divide. NIMBY naysayers like Laura move up here from the Bay Area, get their piece of the divide, then complain about any other progress up here ??♀️… Move to Alaska if you don’t like growth. This store is not putting anybody out of business. It is providing a service to those of us who don’t have deep pockets.”

“The owner is super friendly, local organic olive oil, reasonable prices and super cute unique gifts available for friends and family. Check out this shop when in Placerville. We bought fresh olive oil and some Olive wood spoons.”
“We stopped in Dedrick’s to grab some snacks to have at the wine tasting room next room and everything was amazing!! The cheese was so creamy and delicious and everything was incredibly well priced. The person who helped check us out was super friendly and gave us a free cheese sample. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area!”
“Bobby thank you for being so kind to our family we appreciate you and your grocery/deli, thank you for keeping it original. My go to place if he doesn’t have what I need it’s there the next time I go in. Also thank you Matt for being a great individual and also being so kind to my family since moving from Texas this is our go to family shop.”

“12/12/2025: Purchased organic products and produce, i.e., re-stocking my pantry at the new store across the way from In & Out Burger via Forni Road. Purchased several organic products which I plan inhaling the next few days and BTW . . . The Forni Store has a better inventory selection than the Broadway Store which was truly surprising, indeed.”
“Love Bel Air -- shop coupons and $5 Monday! This is a great location. Get the app and do clipped savings and this place can be comparable to Costco. If you walk in and pay regular price. . . Not even close;
The convenience is worth something, just USE THE APP.
My only complaint would be my version vs their version of what "THIN" slicing means at the deli. No really issues though; , I've been shopping here 14 years and this great grocery.”
“Produce department looks good and well organized but it seems old as it goes bad within a couple of days. General grocery and bread selections are good. A bit higher priced but location is convenient.”
“The individuals working in the drive up and go are ALWAYS great. Kelly is always working so hard and running around, answering calls, filling bags, and loading groceries in cars. I hope safeway treats these people well because they are ALL making regular customers happy.”
“Raleys is good for the community.
Not quite gourmet but adequate, especially for budget considerations. Nice people. Not too big. Parking good. They hire handicapped.”

“This is a cute little store it's convenient when your on your way to the river or camping in the area to stop by and grab some ice and cold drinks, eggs , butter, charcoal a newspaper or some fishing hooks the clerks are really nice and always tell you hi when you come in and always say to have a nice day when leaving!”
“I’m not sure if she’s the store manager—her name is Jaime—but she helped me a great deal in finding every single product I needed. She did so patiently, kindly, and with a fantastic attitude! She knew exactly where everything was; she is an exceptional employee. The cashier, Carol, also provided excellent service! I will definitely be coming back here ?”
“This is a good store. There aren't as many options to choose from compared to other stores BUT they have good options. They're hot food section is great if you can get there early enough. The blueberries are absolutely amazing too! They also have very unique meat offerings. Small aisles but the store is kept clean and the people are friendly. I have added it as one of my after-work stops.”

“Store overall is good well stocked and clean but if you need help to get an item locked up they never come this has happened multiple times at this store after they page for customer service I wait and wait and wait I usually leave after 20min. of waiting.”
“Camping store, maybe. Covenance store, certainly. Do they sell ice in triple digit temperatures, yes they do and that is important.
Cherry and helpful staff they stocked with things people buy.”
