“I purchased an Everstart Maxx group 24F for my car 2.5 years ago at another location and the battery bit the dust. I charged it with a trickle charger and it still failed to start my car. I used a jump starter and my car turned on, indicating a good alternator. After I shut it off and attempted to start again, no luck.
I was still within the 3 year replacement warranty for this model and called a couple of Wal-Mart auto centers. Only the Colton location answered. I asked if I could get a warranty replacement battery, and they said to bring in the battery for testing, and if it is bad and within warranty, they will replace it.
I arrived at the auto center and got my batter tested. It failed the testing, and the auto associate showed me to the counter inside to complete the warranty replacement. The counterman scanned the battery barcode and serial number, verifying I am eligible for a replacement. He called a manager for approval and went back to get a new replacement. Manager approved, they entered my state ID number to complete the transaction.
Overall I had a great experience with the auto center staff. Friendly, polite, and helpful. I lost my receipt, but I did not need it. I was worried they would refuse my warranty claim, but they honored it. Good selection of batteries and car care.”
