“I was there today and bought a cute shirt. There was a very rude male customer who was manipulating all of the cashier's time while other customers waited. The VOLUNTEER cashier handled herself amazingly in this difficult situation. Of course I finally had words with the customer who I hope never returns to harass the volunteers and other customers. #kindnesscounts”

“Nice, clean store. Well organized. Good prices & quality offerings. Unfortunately, they're only open 3 days/week (I thought it was only 2), but I guess the workers are volunteers, so maybe that's why??? Worth the trip if you can do a mid week visit, otherwise, too bad...”

“I went to Serendipity for the first time and really enjoyed Susan's excellent customer service. We found some cute items at reasonable prices. I'll definitely go back for more!”

“I go to this Assistance League for women’s clothing, decor (see photo), and pots for my plants. They also have jewelry, shoes, purses, kids clothing, toys, dinnerware.4/5 stars because the store is small-ish and prices are sometimes $10+ which is a hint expensive for certain secondhand items. But I’ve also seen Anthropologie and originally expensive clothing for like $6 - $12, which I love.”

“We are second hand shoppers to keep the world sustainable but the most important part of this discovery shop is that the money goes to the cancer society. We bring our high- end clothes and top-of-the line sports brands and brand new shoes that don’t fit.The volunteers do a wonderful job of showing you around. It’s a great place to shop with friends and family and help make this a better world”

“Love coming here. They always have different stuff. Sometimes they have a lot of refrigerators, sometimes only a few. They usually have a good selection of couches. I find the most random stuff here! Some of it is a great deal and some of it, not so much. We bought a solid two-drawer file cabinet for $30.”

“The people who work there were GREAT. I was just shopping around getting some bread at the farmers market.I stopped by the thrift store and there was a kind old lady that works there offered me some free bread that was “freshly baked” she said that she saw me riding my electric scooter and gave me a reusable bag to go with it! What an awesome store the prices are more cheap than most thrift stores and this is the one I like the most. I live across the street and this store is a super relevant place to go thrifting. I would give it a 10\5 if I could.”

“My mama passed away back in 2019 and I pretty much held onto her two closets full of clothes. My mom loved clothes and would buy doubles to triple of everything. And i discovered this place who takes all new and gently used clothes quite swiftly and easily, though I opted to not, they will also give you a receipt for your tax purposes if wanted. Helpful, quick and easy to donate too. A+”

“We stopped by The Find a couple of weeks ago. We were looking for a specific piece of furniture. While they did have what we were looking for, the piece was too large for our home. Ended up buying several pieces of home décor. They have a variety of styles, and a fantastic selection of décor items!”

Plus this place is a non-profit. proceeds go to a church and other causes. super cool. would definitely recommend stopping by this place!”

“To be clear for future readers, this is just a drop off center, not a store. But it is extremely convenient for me as there aren’t a lot of locations near here to donate and the staff is always hassle free”

“Good selection of goodwill items. Organized according to size.... which i find better than the other thrift store we have been in. Although some of the sizes indicated are wrong... but its ok. Generally it was correct.”

“Love this place! Strongly recommend not looking at the furniture w/o a discount coupon, it’s over priced for the stuff they get. Clothes are great and they have monthly 50% off clothing sales ! Sometimes $2 sales which are great for jeans/jackets/long sleeves/ skirts! Love this place. But if you have a weak / sensitive nose I strongly recommend you bring an oil to smell, it is not for the weak (lol)”

“I am both a shopper and a volunteer at Thrift! We pride ourselves on offering customers a fun and varied, well-priced selection of merchandise every week. We really enjoy seeing our loyal customers and as volunteers, we love knowing that our shop's sales go back to the Newport-Mesa community through our philanthropic programs.”

“I grew up in this town and AL has, thankfully, been around forever! Always friendly, clean and great items to find! It's a treat that they have a "high end/designer" section where you can really find some goodies! They also put so much energy into restocking the store for every holiday. Need a Christmas or Hanukkah decoration or gift? They have it in time. Thanksgiving? Dishes, placemats etc all for the season. Halloween..it's a must! It's ongoing. The other part I really appreciate is the organized drop off of items donated. I donate throughout the year. There are designated days and times. Easy to pull up and park in the back lot, be greeted by the staff, they take care of you immediately and offer you a receipt for a tax write off if you wish. AL is so different from many of the disappearing Thrift Shops. It is deeply cared for by the residents of Laguna, (hey, it can become a gab fest with old friends you run into) and also by the VOLUNTEERS who donate their time to keep it thriving. Thank you AL !”

“Thrift store had so many things at excellent prices! The staff was so friendly. The money spent goes towards helping homeless, mentally ill and veterans with ptsd.”

“Good place to bring your donations. Their location isn’t the best because it’s a small driveway on busy part of harbor blvd. So you may wait awhile to enter / exit.”

“Managed to find a few household items, a good day-pack, and some very nice suspenders...Oh no. I think I just turned OLD typing that confession out. ?Ain't as many deals or quality items as there were back in my day, sonny-(insert identification here)! We also had to walk sixteen miles, uphill, both ways, in the blistering heat, with slick ice underfoot, and drop-bears waiting in ambush around every turn! And nothing cost more than two or three wooden nickels...”

“They went above and beyond with their service to me on my visit. Even though I was never going to make it in time for the hours of operation that they have posted. They were able to quickly figure out a solution which worked out the best for both of us. Which I was truly grateful for, since this location/stop was mapped into my families already scheduled drive down towards SoCal. A deviation that was going to add an hour into our already 4 hour long drive. So thank you, everyone who assisted with me that day. Especially the lady at the front desk, Veronica? You were awesome!”

“This Goodwill is great! Things are organized by size, which I prefer over The Salvation Army’s system of organizing by color. The place is a bit small, the racks are bit messy, there’s only one public mirror, and there’s only 2 or 3 dressing rooms. Nevertheless, I was able to get three fashionable items: a S dark navy London Fog all weather suede jacket for $14.99, an XS black Zara oversized drop shoulder jacket for $14.99, and a S black polyester NYCC suit blazer for $12.99. I would return!”

“This place is a hit or miss, most of the time I find wonderful, fairly priced gems and then other times I don't find anything which I think can be said about any thrift store. In terms of quantity there is plenty and it's somewhat organized but in terms of quality I suppose it depends on the person. I've found some great clothing items and I mainly go here for the books but they've got it all, big furniture items, shoes, purses, games, movies, ect. They do have a few high end items but those are typically kept behind glass which again is at most thrift stores. This is my favorite store when I have donations, it's extremely easy and super quick and there's always someone happy to help in case you need it. They also give you a coupon when you donate.Overall it's your typical thrift store, you either love it or you hate it but see for yourself.”

“This was my first time selling here obviously they didn't pay as well as if I sold online, but it was fast, easy and left with cash. While I was waiting I walked around the store, most of their items looked new and the prices were decent. I will definitely come back to buy and sell!”

“I like the Salvation Army and I appreciate the good work they do. for some reason I rarely find things to buy at their stores. I think the quality of offerings is off a bit. maybe they should partner with some of the corporate retailers to being in more merchandise or reach out to the public?”

3.3 Good105 Reviews

“Well organized and very clean, the staff work hard to keep it that way. They’re also friendly and helpful. I only buy things that are on 50% discount, I’m always amazed what I can get for great low prices.”
