“The rentals were great. Wife and I booked a full day for two bikes. Rode all day from Sunset Cliffs up to La Jolla and back making several stops along the way to shop and eat. Best way to explore the beaches of San Diego as it eliminates driving in heavy traffic and the awful experience of parking a car anywhere near the beaches. Will definitely rent from here again!”
“I recently rented an electric bike and had a fantastic experience! The bike was in great condition, and the staff was friendly and helpful, Highly recommend for e-bike rentals!”

“I am grateful for Pacific Beach Bike. The screw fell out of the disc brake post mount on my electric 3.0 Razor DXT (TC3 drift trike). They were able to give me the hardware I needed at no charge. This is the second time I have come here. They are very knowledgeable.”
“Love Trek bike shop! Service is always amazing… from building the bikes, servicing a bike, purchasing a bike! Love my new Electra Cruiser bike! John was so helpful, friendly, and patient while I asked a ton of questions and test rode 2 different E-bikes.”
“These guys are the best! Recently bought a great quality bike from them and have had no issues other than a flat tire (my fault) which they were able to resolve for a great price within 10 minutes. Recommend anyone to grab their bike from this place.”
“What an amazing spot! They do it ALL- they have service, adult and kids bikes, E-bikes and Cruisers Galore. Also, you can rent stuff if you need. I got a new RetroSpec Ebike with all the trimmings for a great deal.”
“We took an Uber from downtown San Diego over to LaJolla and decided to rent a couple of bikes. Staff…Tracy who is the owner took the time to explain the bikes in detail, gave us a nice route for the time we had an even suggested lunch places. Top notch for sure, return customer for sure :-)”
“I never leave reviews, but San Diego Cyclery went above and beyond with building my bike from the ground up. Rick and Dan built AND serviced my single-speed; they are extremely informative, and well-equipped to handle your bike. This team over achieves & gets the job done RIGHT! Best bike shop I’ve been to in San Diego. Highly recommend + professional staff.”

“Awesome bike shop, open 10-5! Got my mountain bike tuned up in no time and at a great price. Awesome people do deal with, great work done, and wasn’t nearly as pricy as I had thought. Will be going back for all my bicycle needs!”
“GREAT SHOP! Dylan took good care of us. He checked out our beach cruiser bikes to make sure all was good and safe, made some adjustments, and advised us on maintenance and care. He was communicative and thoughtful, efficient and knowledgeable. We are particularly grateful for his guidance and recommendations on bike helmets; and we ended up ordering new ones through him. This will be our go-to shop from now on. Highly recommend.”
“I'm a newbie at restoring this old bike.
George helped me to find parts for my bike that I didn't know I needed.
I'm a happy camper!!!”
“I needed some help to fix some sport wheelchair wheels that had been donated to the San Diego Wounded Warrior Tennis Program. Store Manager Tom and the technicians did a great job and at a great price in consideration of the program supporting our community. Thanks everyone! :-)”
“Wonderful service and very professional/friendly staff. Highly recommend! They were able to fix some immediate problems with our bikes and saved us a bunch of time and money.”
“My first Rad Bike was purchased here in April of 2025. Works great for me. 400lb 6”2 male. The battery takes me from seacoast in iB all the way around Coronado island and back home with a little to juice to spare 25 miles roundtrip averaging 20mph. Would definitely buy another. Great store with knowledgeable salespeople.”

“Omar was literally a life saver!! The amount of manufacturing defects on my bike was disgusting. Without his attention to detail and thorough service I possibly could have had a fatal outcome. He literally went above and beyond and deserves a million stars!!! My next ebike purchase will be in shop here! Honestly I can't thank him enough! The only shop I'll ever come to!!!”
“Solid mechanic. We were riding the bayshore bikeway and needed a new tube. Chris found a thorn and fixed it up swiftly. Comfy couch while you wait. Thanks for being here”
“Got my new bike here!!! I'm a new rider, we were given superb information and attention a great price on a Giant liv bike. Rene stayed late twice to help us finish our purchase. Come here! ??♂️”

“Now this is a bike shop. I had a poor experience with another local shop and then headed here. Cliff was the total opposite of, what can be, a condescending industry (I worked in bikes for 6 years). He was understanding, helpful, and got me rolling again quickly. Highly recommend if you're in the downtown area OR if you happen to live in Mission Hills (where the terrible shop I went to was).”
“What a gem!!! Was looking for a shop with some character after our go-to spot Q bikes closed. Man … Bob and Bikesmith is such a treasure. Bike shop and business the way it should be. By someone that loves their craft and their customers. No pretense .. no BS. Take your kids and show them what talking to people and customer service is supposed to be like!”
“I went to multiple bike stores on Adam's looking for a bike. It was only Cal Coast that greeted me upon entering, and asked me if I was looking specifically for a bike. "Yes, I am".
The worker (can't remember the name) was friendly, attentive and walked me through every step of the process. The bike was perfect for my skill level at the time, and continues to hold up, after I took it through whats now hundreds of miles. It's actually due for a tune up I'm sure.
Not sure how their other services are, but if you are specifically looking to purchase a bike and not sure what you need exactly, I think this is the place.
I would rather go here than the busy, corporate, Trek store etc that tries to upsell you.”
“Great space, great help, great prices. They tell it to you straight and are there to help you be a great cycler. They didn’t overcharge me and got my stuff done quickly. I’ll be coming back for all my bike needs.”
“One of the things I've noticed over the years, having purchased numerous high end bikes, is the similarity of of bike shops to car dealerships. While you're shopping/purchasing a new bike, the dealership is all about customer service but once you've made the purchase the dealership - be it bike shop or car dealership - basically no longer have a need for you.
Holland Bicycles is a notable exception to this rule. Everyone I've dealt with post purchasing a bike has been excellent and helpful. Two guys, especially, have been super professional/helpful are Tyler (who built my bike) and BoJack. Can't tell you how much I appreciate those two for all the help and expertise.
One other big plus I want to add: I assumed Holland Bicycles was kind of a tourist bike shop that basically sells to the cruiser crowd but I learned they have people there that are into the high end performance bikes both road and track. Just a great all-around shop with top, top professionals.”
