“My order finally arrived after 5 weeks. The signs were out of stock, and they had to get more. The signs are great, although the color is a little off. Ok business, but they need to communicate better to customers. Good products.”

“Best Rare Item Shop in town. Great selection of Tools!, Audio/Video Equipment, Vintage and New video games and equipment, Hard to find Cables and DC Power supplies, Surplus hobby Electronics, vinyl records, album posters and rare vintage collectable items. Every time I go to this store i have to spend nearly an hour walking around looking at everything trying to find hidden gems amongst all the gems this store has to offer. Stores like this are hard to come by. I've found rare wrenches / tool boxes and camera lenses, as well as many stereo amplifiers and speaker setups for friends over the years. Never once have i gotten a bad piece of equipment from this store and the owner always assures me if i have any issue to just bring it back and we will work it out. Never once have I had to take him up on his generous offer.”

“A bit out of the way, but worth the trip for anyone who likes to thrift shop. It is well organized and the volunteers are especially friendly. Prices are fair if you are buying for yourself, no real steals if you are buying and reselling for profit. Nice selection of dishes and clothes and an occasional vintage find.”

“The staff are always so helpful and kind I have gotten so many things from here. It is always packed with people, but for a good reason there are so many good deals and useful things. I highly recommend going here if you are working on any project. They sell fabric, beads, patterns, yarn, fake flowers and basically anything you would find at Joan's or Michaels, but way cheaper ?They except donations so if you have any unwanted craft supplies please come here?PS the legacy is a craft thrift store for people who don't know”

“I like this little place. Yes, the hours are limited, probably because of volunteer staff, and it is small, but they've reorganized the shop to maximize the space, and it's well laid out. I always find a little something here, and the staff is pleasant.”

“Great service, friendly staff, and they have a wide variety of products. I find it offensive that someone would be offended at something that was sold in another era, when people were not offended of making fun of each other. If you don't like something don't buy it. Those type of items are collectible by the way, and depict a historical time that we should not forget, and learn from.”

“I absolutely LOVE Thrifty Hippie. My son and I have been going here for years. He checks out the records while I check out everything else. Great selection of clothing. I always find things here that I have never seen anywhere else. The owner is awesome, always friendly. I was so upset when I saw they were moving years ago but it turned out it was just next store. Breathed a sigh of relief and thanked the thrift store gods that I could continue shopping at Thrifty Hippie to make my home, and self, look awesome with my one of a kind finds.”

“Best consignment store in Sebastopol! I have bought and sold clothes here over the years. The owner is very dedicated to her business, kind and helpful. The prices are good, the store is clean and organized. Lots of fun and unique clothes and goods to choose from!”

“The clothes and decor displays are always beautiful and give great ideas for things going together! Weekly sales (good to get on their email list) and new clothes put out daily keep it fresh. For a great cause too--100% volunteer, proceeds support local infants, youth and young parents.”

“Everyone has to realize the women working here- are volunteering their time and energy to be there. They are not getting paid. The proceed go to scholarship funds. The store has some cute items, but just like any thrift store, you'll have to browse for everything. It smells a like old dusty times & clothes because (gasp!) they are! Everything has been donated. The workers aren't going to go and wash the clothes again. So let's please show these hardworking volunteers some grace. The volunteers are all very sweet and cute. They are friendly and try their best to help. The store has been reorganized and separated to clothing, household goods, etc. Whenever I'm in town, I like to browse and usually find something good.”

“Jen the owner is very friendly. This shop has a lot of affordable prices and good quality. She has Hermes Picotin rare color I like, it's very hard to find. I highly recommend to support local business. You won't be disappointed.”

“This is my favorite thrift store. It's got great items for great prices. Clothes, household decor, plates, silverware, seasonal decor, crafts, kids stuff, shoes, furniture etc. There's parts that are disorganized but that's part of the fun of thrifting. They have the best decorations here during Christmas time. I've never had a negative experience with the staff. Parking is terrible but that's only because Trader Joe's (they are next door) parking lots are always cramped. No bathroom but you can go next door if you need to. Overall I've found amazing gems at this store and it's very affordable! Donating is easy as well but you have to go before their bin is full.”

“Alphabet Soup Thrift Shop is a non profit thrift store owned by Petaluma Education Foundation. This is the second store this organization was able to open. Their first location is a couple stores down on the same block. This is one is Alphabet Soup at Home. They specialize in more home goods and houseware like furniture and books. It was actually their original location before they opened up a second thrift store dedicated to just clothes and accessories.Other than the nice employees that work there the funds made at these businesses go to the foundation as it has been serving 13,000 students every year which include scholarships. You can also volunteer for these thrift stores and work as a cashier or merchandiser! At the clothes store in particular I had come in with a friend on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the layout. It wasn’t too crowded and all the sections were obvious which made it easy to navigate. They put paper signs and printed bold letters on the front of each rack to describe the section of clothing. They also have a very nice designated children’s section with toys, books and clothes. They had a very nice shoe selection, but expensive for a thrift store. The crowd of people that were in here the most were women and a lot of youths and young adults. This shop is located on Western Avenue in Petaluma right next to the Petaluma Market and St. Vincent De Paul Church. There is street parking. They accept cash and card as well as contactless payment. They are open seven days a week 10am-5pm.To the beautiful people of Sonoma county and visitors abroad, I didn’t have a bad experience here. It was a clean store with nice clothes. It was a little more on the expensive side for a thrift store, but they have great items and sometimes vintage treasures.”

“Crossing the Jordan helped my neighbor. She had a plumbing problem that flooded her home. I went to this store and purchased a big bag of towels at a very reasonable price. They saved the day! After the Tubbs fire of 2017, this store helped many people to get their household back to a functional state. The community won’t forget this generosity.”

“This review is for the donation process only. We've had past experiences with GW where we brought furniture that they weren't accepting (although the website stated otherwise) and had to bring it all back home. Having learned that lesson we called ahead of time and asked what they were and weren't accepting. During this time many GW are at capacity for certain items and in need of others. Staff was professional and friendly over the phone and told me which items they could accept. So when I arrived - I let the person know that I had called ahead to confirm the items. This made the process easy and seamless. The only slight negative is that they didn't ask if I wanted a receipt for tax purposes. Not sure why but Salvation Army always asks. Other than than this I think people will have a good donation experience as long as they verify ahead of time. This also cuts down on GW parking lots becoming a dumping ground of unacceptable items as I've seen in the past”

“It's not the greatest looking thrift shop but You can definitely find some hidden gems in here. Some of the prices on the new racks are ridiculous (& the stuff isn't even new). But when they have sales it's definitely worth it”

“I found out about this place on my Nextdoor app. I normally take my donations to the Goodwill but the last time they wouldn't take several items ( like new cookbooks, brand new garden drip hose, plastic sealable bowls, etc). So I gave this place a call and within a couple of days they came to my home to PICK UP EVERYTHING. They Just asked to have the items in boxes that are closed so they can be stacked. I heard later about the good things they do for their employees. I'll have to pay a visit to their store.”

“You can find great deals here if you don’t mind digging. I love this place and the staff (especially Rosario!) but IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE. It is loud and sometimes fast paced and you have to stop and move while they switch the bins. If you are uptight or don’t like loud places or mingling with all types of people, you most likely will not be comfortable here. Otherwise it’s a great time!”

“I check this place out a couple times a week & I must say, it's always good each time. There's great finds. Good prices, each time I need something I tend to get lucky & get exactly what I'm looking for. It's stocked, easy to find stuff. I feel like they can have a wider book selection but other than that I like coming to this store. They take donations too!”
