Everything was neat and organized and clean.Safety: My wife and I felt very safe.Walkability: You have Chick-fil-A, literally in walking distance from the hotel across the street, along with the Starbucks and red lobster literally with the walking distance less than 100 feet. Very convenient.Food & drinks: Elements restaurant serves nothing but gourmet food. Especially their teriyaki and chicken plate was mouthwatering. The bacon burger was legit!”
“1/14/2024Went to Anime Impulse. Happening at the same time was Sneaker Expo, K-Play Fest, and Asian American Expo. Plenty of choice for food, but they were from $10-$25 in range. Many different type of Asian Street food was available (except for Street food prices). It was fun, but I did not stay for long due to being a bit tired. Maybe I will go both Saturday and Sunday for the event. Note: Parking went up from $14 (last year) to $18.”
“A comfortable place to rest after a long journey. And the staff are so friendly. Always kept clean.Nearby activities: There are several parks, a senior center, shopping, the Claremont Village, and Claremont Colleges and schools nearby. Most are within walking distance.Walkability: There are places to eat as well as entertainment within walking distance. There are also plenty of nice places to walk around here.Food & drinks: There are plenty of places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short drive. This includes Trader Joe's, Sprouts, and Stater Bros for groceries. There are plenty of restaurants super close, including The Orchard right in the Doubletree.Noteworthy details: Parties can be held at the Doubletree inside in their various large rooms or outside in their lovely courtyard. There is also a pool.”

“The service at this hotel will absolutely exceed your expectations. The food always comes out at the perfect temperature, even after hours, the staff take great care of all of their guests. The check in clerk Di was fantastic during check in. The bar staff Elena and Sinjin really know how to treat guests with an exceptional level of hospitality. The restaurant staff each night between 3PM and 9PM Monday- Thursday hit the mark every night. Not one dish came out which did not meet or exceed the expectations, with the kitchen and servers both being exceptionally friendly and very clearly skilled. Two of them even remembered my name, and what I requested the night before for a drink. Andrew had an exceptional taste and culinary passion, as well as being really fun to talk with.I spend over 100 nights a year in Marriott hotels alone, and I can honestly say this experience and level of hospitality with the staff is really incredible.Even on mornings where I had been running behind wrapped up in a meeting that ran too late at 6:00AM, the valley staff would have my car out front and ready to go within minutes of requesting my car (one time I was in the elevator and the car was out front before I got there).Not only was it exceptional, but it was consistent every single day, across the entire team. The pool area and nearby locations, as well as outside patio area and local amenities were also very well maintained, and the location was really nice for a walk. The fitness center was clean and pleasant to use.My only complaint was the in room coffee maker, and the light switches which would not turn on or off very easily at all. Both of which could easily be user error.Well done. ?. Seriously, exceptionally well done.”

“I stay here often for work, and am always pleased with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel. Staff is always friendly and quick to respond to requests, and the rooms have very comfortable beds and cozy easy chairs that I enjoy curling up in to read or watch news from at the end of the day. (Weirdly, I am rather obsessed with those comfy orange chairs; I want one!) The soundproofing between rooms is good; the only downside is traffic noise from the freeway, which is not the hotel's fault and is a thing all along hotel row there. Overall, this is a comfortable, quiet and friendly hotel that offers comfort and good amenities, especially for such a reasonable price. They've earned my repeat business.”

“Just to preface: I am aware this hotel is a Best Western. I am also aware that I was staying with a larger group. Still, I was generally disappointed with the service. A few notes:Our room had three people in it, and so naturally, one would expect to be able to use three room keys. However, whenever the third key was issued, it would reset one of the other keys. This led to the experience of constantly being locked out of the room and needing to get a key reset at the front desk. This happened maybe 10 times.The breakfast was okay. There is a decent selection, and it is made-to-order. Not many complaints here.The rooms were fine, but again, it's a Best Western. Notably, the phone in the room could not reach the front desk. At all. So there was no way to contact room service.The pool, which we expected to use, was closed for the entire three-day weekend. No explanation given, just "no, sorry!" There were also no signs posted at the pool that it *was* closed, just once we asked the front desk.The location is fine... it is SoCal so expect suburbia. We were able to walk across the street and get Food and Ice Cream, though. It's also relatively close to the Claremont Colleges. Could be worse!Overall, a mediocre experience, even for a Best Western.”

“I wouldn’t go back. It wasn’t horrible but there were signs that said it was under construction but that seemed to be an excuse for being in poor repair. There are letters missing from the way signs, there is a bare feeling to the lobby. The rooms are ok but there were odd people walking around the grounds. It just seemed like a zombie hotel and not well managed. Not horrible just not good. Area is meh as well. Again, wouldn’t go back.”

“I have never been to a better motel ANYWHERE! I can't say enough about this place! Going to stay away from home and not having the propiator talking down, yelling or giving off a bad attitude makes all the difference in the world to me. I love the hominess and peacefulness feeling this place has and I hope Cookie will always run the show here. “Checked in on Saturday the 16th. Very nice people at front desk. Room is small, however nice and clean.They have a hospitality room with coffee & tea around the clock. Then they serve a small breakfast buffet. Not bad. That area is kept super clean. We came to visit our son in West Covina. Only about eight minutes away. El Torito is right next door. So, of course we stopped in there for a margarita. We enjoyed our stay.”

“This is a great hotel. Check in was easy and the staff was very nice. The room was very clean and quiet even with the I-10 being so close. Smelled clean as well. We felt very comfortable in our king size bed. I loved that it's close to a Denny's, McDonald's, Starbucks and a Home Depot. Feels like the perfect spot for a hotel. I will definitely stay here again.”

“Good location, friendly staff, and clean place.Rooms: Decent size room with 2 queen beds and good size desk for business travel. Large TV screen with hi res picture. The single elevator is far away from the lobby so make sure to get a room on the first floor if you have lots of luggages since concierge service isn’t offered.Nearby activities: Parks nearby and stores.Safety: Feel safe, parking lot has wide open spaces.Walkability: Walking distance within 5 to 10 minutes to restaurants which are mostly Asian and some fast food franchise chains.Food & drinks: The bistro closes at 10 PM but we were able to order two hamburgers with salad on the side 15 minutes before closing. The fryer was inoperative so we could not order anything fried like chicken wings. Few selection of liquors, such as beer, wine, and hard drinks. Tried to order an old fashioned cocktail but the staff offered beer or whiskey on the rock instead since it was almost closing time. The burger and salad were okay.Noteworthy details: The hotel has a bar and a bistro within the reasonable size with comfortable seats lobby across the front desk.”
“I stay here when visiting with family. It’s close to where I need to be. It’s a small property set back from the Main Street so it is quiet. The size of the property makes it cozy and parking is great. No frills. Just clean and comfortable. A great place to rest after a long day. Thank you Friendly Hills for being at the right place, right size, comfy, cozy, and for being welcoming for travelers like me.”

“I enjoyed my stay . Nice clean room with plenty of room. There was a living room and the staff there are very friendly . Night staff and the morning staff are excellent.Jacuzzi does need repair and am hoping by the summer time it is. Planning on returning. Also the place is pretty nice landscape. Would look even more alive if fountains were working. Breakfast was good as well. Staff there were helpful and friendly to serve to a smile. Family friendly and notice well the peaceful environment.”
