“It's rare to get excited about a contractor. In my years of home ownership, I only reached out to contractors when something broke, or if we had to do a renovation (headache). But Tom at California Shower Door is probably the most responsive, empathetic, and gracious person I've ever encountered (like, ever, not just in the world of contractors). He is absolutely unreal. We had a small project that spiraled a bit (i'll spare the details), but from beginning to end, Tom was the light that shepherded the team. Unlike other contractors, he has a large team of super responsive folks. Someone always picks up the phone. I always get email responses within hours. It gives me great confidence that whatever happens, we'll figure it out because they're always so communicative. Highly recommend CSD team for your next shower/door/glass projects.”
“Great place they answered all my questions about different concrete sealers. Ended up buying a Penetrating Masonry Sealer to stop my patio from soaking up a whole lot of water.”
“Like a scaled down version of big box home improvement stores... but feels local. You might not get the widest selection of what you're looking for but you'll find what you need. Staff are actually pretty friendly and helpful. I've been to other stores in the city where they get impatient with you if you're not a contractor. Central location was useful when I needed to run to get stuff for home reno projects.”
“Great place to find that bit of unobtainium for your old SF house, or some random piece of historical building chunk, such as an art deco marble sink or cheap wood for an art project.”
“The best place to get drywall supplies. Ask for red or Eric they will get u what u need. Everyone the is great and the Gm there Mike he's the man always coming out to say hi.”
“After dealing with a flood in a two unit building my family and I were faced with a forced renovation of two kitchens. After visiting several showrooms in the Bay Area, we decided to have Sincere Home Décor at the South San Francisco location design both kitchen cabinet layouts. We worked with Senior Designer and Sales Associate, Allison Li and we were extremely pleased by her friendly demeanor, quick response, and expertise in helping us put our two kitchens back together. Below is the incredible service we received from Allison: a. She walked us through each step of the process and really put us at ease during a very stressful renovation. b. My contractor was not familiar with the installation of the cove crown molding and cabinet base molding. Allison took the time to send photographs and included instructions on the installation. c. She has incredible attention to detail. For example, our refrigerator placement was next to a wall. Allison made sure there was enough space/clearance for the refrigerator doors to open at full width for the interior refrigerator drawers to fully pull out without the doors being in the way. d. She explained how to adjust the drawers and provided photographs. The visuals helped tremendously. e. She helped me when I had some issues with my cabinetry and worked with me through the process until it was resolved with the manufacturer. For example, my spice rack was not closing correctly. Allison worked quickly to contact the company and they sent the replacement parts to fix it. She also had her managers assist with adjusting the drawer itself when I brought it into the showroom. f. Her manager, Phil, assisted with providing documentation requested by the insurance company. When it came time to purchase our quartz countertops and hood vent, my family and I did not hesitate to purchase them from Sincere Home Décor. We received the same quality of customer service. Selecting the countertops was easily done at their Oakland warehouse and the installation by Ken was great. There were also plenty of hood vent options to select from and a simple process to order. My family and I are grateful for the excellent customer service that Allison and the entire staff at Sincere Home Décor provided to us. We highly recommend them if you are doing a kitchen remodel.”
“GARY is the rockstar at this place. We came here not once, not twice, but three or four times to get two bathroom tiles, marble, kitchen countertop quartzite slab plus patio tile and wainscoting … all of which required multiple visits. I’m not the easiest person to work with—uber strongly opinionated and unapologetic about them, vocal with attitude for days about them … I’ve been told I need my own country to run, lol! Gary offered to help us out on our first visit and he’s exceptional in that he’s so fantastically proactive, super engaged and attentive, as if it’s his own place he’s designing. He’s not ever phoning it in and I adored that about him! I honestly don’t think we could’ve done the job we did without his input and guidance. He knocked it out of the park. Every single visit, I changed my mind about something! And he rolled with it, endlessly without limits patient and amenable, super friendly and on the ball with all of it. He’d walk around the dizzying endless store, and show us infinite options, and what we really loved about him is his honesty about the properties of each material, e.g. honed marble versus polished and its appropriateness for shower, the application of semi-precious materials for functionality. I cannot rave enough about Gary, e.g. I was OBSESSED with achieving an ombre effect but came up with a hare-brained color scheme, which though I know didn’t go together, clung to it for dear life! And on the eleventh hour and 59 seconds, changed course … Gary did not blink, and adapted to my impulsive pivot. The shop itself is awesome for their vast choices but without Gary steering us each and every time, we would‘ve been adrift. Today, we’d made and appointment in the morning and didn’t leave till afternoon, after which the awesome sense of accomplishment and completion we felt was palpable, so freaking relieved we were! It’s so refreshing to see someone be so genuinely into their work. And btw., the sheer fact of him being able to so seamlessly handle my what some deem a “difficult” and “strong” personality, he probably should win some sort of medal, lol! This is such an awesome store (better than most we visited of this caliber) with a huge selection of slabs, tiles, flooring, you name it for a home remodel and they have it. We fell in love with these "semi precious" and not sure why I'm putting quoy=tation marks here because they are actually semi precious stones woven into slabs, but at pricing they begins at $20,000 and requiring the extremely delicate upkeep and incredible maintenance, we weren't gonna spring for it, no way. But just to be able to behold the beautify of this, more than worth it. It's such a fantastically convenient place, with loads of free parking and you get to wander around, even on a weekend, which they're one of the rare home places that are open on a Saturday, when most of these places close on a weekday at 3. The prices are on par for what you might pay elsewhere, and though I'm no maven on home stuff, for the limited shops I've gone to, it seems equivalent. I saw a lot of Yelp reviews bemoaning the lack of customer service, but we had an excellent experience here, and when I find the name of the gentleman who helped us, I'll update this review. Be sure to take your time as you walk around because we thought we'd seen all the tiles ... but we turned the corner--and more tiles! And in the next walkabout, even more of them! And this is the theme of the place, merchandise is sort of scattered around, which we loved because the lack of consolidation lends itself to a surprise of discovery vibe.”
“Leaving this review specifically for Anthony in sales. He absolutely goes above and beyond every time I've gotten his help in the store, even when I'm only buying +/-$100 of material. Thank you Anthony!”

“Surprised they have a one star! Much better than Home Depot. Came in, friendly people. Happy with the selection and the prices of some plumbing things I was looking for.”
“I went to Home Depot at Westlake shopping center to look for a kitchen faucet recently. The stuff I needed not available anymore. Gina and Shina helped me find the alternative and ordered one for me . They're very patient and warm. Their excellent service is greatly appreciated.”
