“Overall we had a really good experience at this Ritz Carlton. The service is excellent and every single staff member is pleasant and helpful. We were there during the President’s Day long weekend and it was incredible busy. The hotel grounds are super nice and the gym has the best view (Pacific Ocean) hands down of any I’ve been at. Wonderful meals at Raya and Kahani under separate reviews. Easy access to beach via short (steep) walk or using beach shuttle. Room is a little small and ‘coastal’ view is not much of one. Valet gets very crowded and is pretty expensive.”

“I spent a couple of nights at the Waldorf this last weekend and had the most exceptional stay. The rooms were beautiful, and comfortable. Victoria helped me book the fireside patio room which was so relaxing in the evening and mornings.Everyone from the front desk, to the bar and restaurants we're friendly and helpful and all very genuine in their assistance.We took advantage of borrowing a bike, some lovely pool time, delicious drinks at a couple of the bars and beachside dinner.Without a doubt, I will certainly be back!”

“Check-in time is 3:00pm, showed up at 4:00pm and room was not ready. They offered to downgrade our room to get us checked-in quicker, but I chose this hotel because of the jacuzzi in the room. Waited another 40 minutes before our room was ready. They did credit us some for the inconvenience. I wish they did without having to be asked. Plus side is the hotel is quite. It's located on the street and it was rare that we heard the traffic.Rooms: Nice, spacious rooms. Shower had a slow drain so it pooled up water quickly.Walkability: Several choices of restaurants within walking distance. At least 5 food choices across the street.Food & drinks: Breakfast was decent. They change the menu everyday. There is a neat pancake maker. Press "ok" button and the machine makes 2 pancakes.”

“We loved the Inn so much it was difficult to leave. The breakfast in bed deliveries, the beautiful balcony views, the afternoon charcuterie, and oh my goodness, the breakfast burrito! Ten out of ten. The staff was kind and accommodating. The hot tea selection, and the fresh fruit water daily. If you’re looking for a serene get away look no further.Rooms: Clean & full of amenities.Nearby activities: Manicured Walking trails”

“Great room right across the street from the beach. Great office staff. Very helpful with suggestions on where to go for dinner and drinks. Really good breakfast and parkong included with room. We will be coming back.Rooms: Rooms look to be newly renovated.Walkability: Beach is across the street.Food & drinks: Breakfast was delicious. A bar and a few restaurants are about maybe a 10 minute walk.”

“Updated review as we stayed yet again over the weekend. You get what you pay for. You're right on the harbor and that is great. Everything else is just ok. Service at the front is hit and miss. Check in declined to let us know that iPhone magnets kill the card keys. Would have been a point to bring up before we went all the way to the third floor just to find out our keys were demagnetized. lived with that. I'm sad to see this may soon be gone.. Sadly. The surfside suite was not only spacious but also offered breathtaking views, making our stay even more special. Room features a king-size bed, a sofa bed, a balcony with ocean views, and even a fireplace! The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities truly reflected the high standards associated with the Hilton brand.One highlight of our visit was dining at the Longboard upstairs lounge, where we were treated to exceptional service by Kerri. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable, providing recommendations and attending to our needs with a genuine smile. The atmosphere at the lounge was relaxed and inviting, making it the perfect spot to unwind.Overall, the DoubleTree by Hilton Doheny Beach exceeded our expectations, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay in Dana Point.
