“Jiffy Lube in Danville- unsung heroes Today there was a sweet teenage looking boy parked with hazard lights on in the middle of San Ramón Valley Blvd before Hartz. His battery gave out, couldn't push the car bc neutral didn't work without the battery. I pulled over to help and happened to be in the Jiffy Lube parking lot. Upon letting them know why I was parking if I may use their lot, 3 guys immediately sprung into action to help much more than I could have. Without hesitation, they got jumper cables, another car from their business pulled up alongside to use that battery to jump, another JL employee got cones to block traffic from behind, it was his first day on the job. It brought tears to my eyes. Way to go hiring A+ selfless people who were incredibly capable and efficient in helping this guy!”

“I rarely write reviews, but want to lend my support to Ace Auto Care. I took my car in with brake issues, and they diagnosed several other issues that I was unaware of. They did not push any extra services on me, but rather explained which ones they felt were important to address and which ones I could hold off on addressing. We had a bit of miscommunication about which services I authorized, and rather than arguing about it, they simply reduced the cost and took the view that they wanted the customer to be happy. I hope not to have to take my car in anytime soon, but when I need to, I will definitely go back to Ace. I highly recommend them.”

“Easy & fast! Made my Smog check appointment online for the same day, like 2 hours before and even though there was a line of 5 people ahead of me, my car was checked and I was done within 25 minutes. The Staff were friendly and when i asked how this works, they explained how the check would automatically be notified to DMV.
It was my first time there, but other people in line were saying this place is very thorough and professional. I felt that was my experience with them too.”
“I brought my 2022 Crosstrek Subaru in for the second time. It only has 10,000 miles on it but maintenance agreement was up at the dealership. Last year he went over all the visits I had at the dealership and basically they just rotated the tires & changed the oil. I thought the dealership was doing more. I like Franks. Friendly and kind. I asked about my brakes and he said I have another ten thousand miles to go on them. I love that they are just down the street from Rossmoor and I have always heard good things about them. I had an excellent experience. Ride back & forth. Service was oil change & tire rotation. Plus the air conditioning so maybe that included a filter. I don’t know.”

“While traveling in the area my car had an issue on the freeway and I could not drive it, I was towed by AAA to this shop. Very fortunate to get to this shop - the staff were able to come out and check my car and even get it working so I could get home to my local area. They did not even charge me for what they did.
It is a stressful time having a breakdown especially with my family, but this shop really went above and beyond. I will be always grateful. This would be my go to shop if I lived in the area for my BMWs, I could instantly tell they knew what they were doing and were enthusiastic about older BMWs. I think the owner’s name is Fred and I really wanted to thank him! Kindhearted folks like this are hard to find nowadays.”

“Excellent customer service, good work ethic, fair pricing, gives updates, and quick service! Highly recommended! Lei is very knowledgeable and was able to diagnose my problem right away when I arrived. Lei helped guide me through the process of contacting my insurance and advocated for me when my insurance tried to reimburse me unfairly. He explored repair options extensively and got my car working and back to me quickly after the estimate was finalized. Again highly recommended and will be a regular.”

“I needed regular maintenance for my 2019 Toyota Highlander. I've used Stress-Free before and they have always been reliable. So I called, made an appointment and went in last week. What I needed only required 1.5 hours, so I chose to go get breakfast and wait. During that time, I received several updates via text including pictures. They advised me on what I needed to do soon on the car as well as maintenance I could delay. It was an easy and pleasant experience. I will bring my other car in soon.”

“I've used the Repair Shop with Sal and his crew a bunch of times over the last couple years. They have always done great work at a reasonable price which is becoming harder to find these days. They are also a customer first shop and are great about explaining the work they think you need and cost before they start. If you have any questions or issues with the work done they do everything possible to answer those question or will ask you to bring the car back to look at any issues you might have. They are my go to shop because of all of these reasons. Don't hesitate to give them a try.”
“Although I no longer live in the Bay Area, I want to highlight my experience with Kevin & Conner's shop. If I had to choose one word to describe working with Kevin, it would be HONEST. He never tries to upsell unnecessary services. For example, when my previous vehicle (an Audi with just over 100k miles and high maintenance costs) started giving me trouble, I asked Kevin for his advice. He gave me a straightforward, neutral perspective without pushing me in either direction.
If you're looking for a mechanic who lures you in with a low estimate only to surprise you later with unexpected charges, this is not that place. Kevin is upfront, reliable, and trustworthy.
Over the years, he serviced multiple vehicles for me and even helped me purchase a new car. If I still lived in the area, I would not hesitate to go back.
The only con is that they are busy which is a byproduct of several years of goodwill.”
“I recently purchased a 1962 Ford Econoline Van sight unseen. We knew it had an inoperable fuel gauge, so I brought it in to Carlos for this issue. Carlos and his team were super communicative and thorough and fortunately/unfortunately found a slew of other issues the van had...fuel pump, radiator, brake cylinders, electrical. They fixed a lot and did a great job making the van reliable and safe!”

“A great shop run by really good people. Shortly after purchasing our used (110,000 miles) Chevy Express 3500 cutaway van, it broke down a few miles away from Just Joe's due to faulty work at a nearby Jiffy Lube. Because we already had a big rescue trip through Oregon and Washington planned for saving dozens of shelter dogs, Just Joe's was able to get our van fixed very quickly. They were able to diagnose the problem and prove that it was the fault of a Jiffy Lube tech that installed the air filter backward which choked off all air intake to the engine.
While the van was in the shop we had them do a thorough inspection, as we had no maintenance records or idea of how the Chevy Express was treated in its first 15 years of use. Just Joe's recommended a general tune-up along with new shocks and few other things needing attention. We made another appointment with them and they took care of everything very quickly, at a great price! The van left the shop in excellent running condition.
Just Joe's has very tall, long mechanics bays which are especially good for owners of extra large vehicles: RVs, cutaway vans, utility-trucks, box-trucks, high-top cargo vans (Sprinter, Transit 350, etc.) and even school busses. They work on these type of extra-large vehicles all the time, so you can be confident that this is their area of expertise.
Lastly, it turns out the owners have rescue pets of their own that come to the office every day. Our kind of people! We would happily bring them more business in the future.
