“All the staff here are so sweet and amazing but will kick your butt when it comes to the workouts! I’m a newbie to barre but all the instructors made me feel welcome and gave me the tips I needed to compete the workouts correctly. Such a great experience and will definitely be back!”

“What a great space! This was my first time ever trying a bootcamp, and I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. Karen and Lisa were incredibly welcoming and encouraging from the moment I walked in. Cierra, one of the newer instructors, was attentive and supportive. She made sure my form was correct and helped me modify exercises to fit my needs. The studio itself is beautiful, and the sense of community is truly uplifting. I’m definitely feeling the burn today in the best way possible. Highly recommend FITHouse Davis!”

“Coaches are knowledgeable and accommodating. They’ll work with you wherever you are on your fitness journey, modifying exercises based on your comfort and mobility. Other members are super kind. Absolutely no ego in this gym.”

“Awesome and welcoming community! The coredio kicks my ass, but in the best way possible! I live in Sacramento, but try to make it at least once a week! When its good, it's worth the drive.”

“I am 66 and have been going to Davis S&C’s senior class for over two years. I not only feel stronger than I did before starting the class, I feel stronger than I did in my 50s. The improvement in my balance is also huge, which matters especially after being diagnosed with osteoporosis. The coach/trainer, Lydia, clearly describes and demonstrates each activity and observes and gently corrects any flaws in our form. She is aware of each person’s weak areas and provides substitute activities to ensure that no one hurts themselves. This class, the circuits set by the owner of the gym, and Lydia’s coaching both challenge and motivate me. I am very lucky to have found it.”
“Nice facility and it's feels much larger inside. Lots of machines and tables, and hard working staff. Plenty of parking spaces.
Very clean inside, friendly staff who are very skilled and knowledgeable. In July 2024, I had a consultation that lasted around 45 minutes, and the staff was able to accurately diagnose an IT band and hip issue. They gave good suggestions on PT exercises to not only address the issue, but exercises to strengthen other parts of the body.
In late 2023, I had a very swollen right knee with much pain when I walked. One of the staff properly diagnosed a quad injury that I sustained from work. I was given sound advice, some targeted exercises, and proper rest. My quad and knee were back to normal in about a month, and still good today.
From young to old, I feel this location is a PT diamond in the rough in Davis. Friendly and fast service, highly recommend it!”
“I worked out here almost daily during the year I lived in Davis (August 2024-25). They have everything you need, including sauna and hot tub. I often participated in spin class two times a week. My only complaints are the dated, nonfunctional equipment in the treadmill room collecting dust and taking up space. It’s clear those machines have been there a very long time (they look like they’re from the 90s) and aren’t going to be repaired. Instead of taking up valuable real estate (especially during busy hours) and being an eyesore, these machines should be removed. Also, its inconvenient that a class was added to the schedule before the 9 am spin class. This always resulted in attendees not being able to even access the gym to set up our bikes until after 9 am. Classes should be staggered by at least 15 minutes to avoid this. The male employees are nice and helpful, but I did get an unnecessary attitude from one of the young female employees a few times.
Overall, this gym got the job done for me the year I lived in the area, and the student discount was a plus. It’s inevitable that the building be upgraded, but that’s irrelevant to me as I now live in downtown San Diego.”
“There are truly not enough words to express what Mirror Image Dance Company has meant to our family.
What my granddaughter has found here is so much more than dance. She has found confidence, joy, belonging, encouragement, creativity, and a place where she feels completely seen and loved for exactly who she is.
The kindness, openness, patience, and genuine care from everyone at MIDC is something rare and extraordinary. They do not simply teach dance, they nurture children’s hearts and spirits. They create a space where children can flourish, believe in themselves, and feel empowered!
My daughter searched long and hard for a place like this for Malaika, and somehow she found the perfect home. Dance has become part of who she is now, and you can see the happiness and confidence it has brought into her life every single day.
Places like Mirror Image Dance Company are truly gifts to a community. Their generosity, inclusiveness, and love for these children deserve to be recognized and supported. Small businesses with hearts this big make an immeasurable difference in the lives of families.
We will forever be grateful.”
