“Decided to give this place a try since we were having a family dinner. Called in my order and picked up half an hour later. I didn’t realize the hummus and baba ghanoush were canned so I skipped those. My order was ready when I arrived.
meat was undercooked in the middle and had strong lamb flavor.
Chicken skewers: 5/5 well cooked, flavorful. Not dry.
good!
Rice: generous portions.
They have lots of lavash with the meat.
$62 for 5 koobideh, 2 chicken, 2 rice.”
“Meat House - Mountain View, located right in front of the train station, is a butcher shop I’ve had my eye on for quite some time. Typically, for hot pot or Japanese BBQ, I would purchase beef from Japanese supermarkets. However, after hearing glowing recommendations about this place, I decided to give their beef a try tonight with my homemade kombu broth.
The shop offers a variety of beef cuts to choose from. When I mentioned that I preferred more tender meat, the staff recommended the chuck roll (though I admit I’m not very familiar with beef cuts). Initially, I was hoping to purchase A5 Wagyu, but unfortunately, they only carry American Wagyu.
The beef slices were impeccably prepared—intact, without any torn pieces, and sliced to the perfect thickness. A few seconds in the hot pot was all it took to cook the meat, and the result was incredibly tender and flavorful. The shop also offers lamb, seafood, and other options, catering to various preferences. While the prices are slightly higher than those of regular supermarkets, the exceptional quality of the meat makes it absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this shop to anyone seeking premium ingredients.”
“This market is part of makes the neighborhood great. Plenty of available parking, good selection of food & beverages, as well as some additional conveniences like their sandwich bar and bbq. The staff is always very friendly and my kids love “helping” by pushing the little carts.”
“Upscale grocery store, with hot take out from the deli, and full meals to take out, mains and sides separate, all kinds of nice things, it's a good looking store, a little crowded for maneuvering but I really like shopping there.”
“Small store but great prices, I came for Piloncillo and walked around the whole store multiple times before I realized it was up front. Looks like they also had a nice deli section!”
“Very good deli sandwiches!! I grew up coming to Roberts market as a kid and it's still the same... they always have made me a great sandwich and the only downfall as you have to take a number sometimes there is a long wait... I highly recommend!!!”
“very clean and organized, had lots of different kinds of food to choose from... has a warm lunch section that has many delicious options. if you are looking for a place to get groceries or even just a snack, i would definetly recommend piazza's!”
“Bought freshly spiced & seasoned (as we waited) Carne Asada Taco meat. Not cheap but beatiful - with guacamole, refried beans and rice it made the best BBQ taco meal I have ever had ?”
“Good selection of times, great pricing. A bit cramped, but I'm not complaining with the vast variety of items they have. Friendly staff too, can highly recommend!!”
“I come for the very inexpensive vegetables and fruits. Also they have latin-typical vegetables like chayote squash of good quality. The meat section is really good, but it's not prepackaged - you have to ask for what you want (but it is fresher!). The language most spoken is Spanish but everyone speaks English too.”
“They have a great assortment and variety of all the things you need. I highly recommend it. Everyone who works there treats you with great respect and if you have any questions they will gladly help you to know what you need.”
“This is probably one of those indian stores that have pretty much everything you need. All indian groceries, neem leaves when you need it for ugadi, amla when you need it for your daily vitamin c, and fresh vegetables every day. Apart from the groceries, what really stands out at this shop is their catering service. You find the best pineapple souffle in all of bay area, and a usual at our parties. All their other food is amazing too! If not for the groceries, at least give their food a shot! It's really good stuff priced reasonably!”

Dittmer’s Gourmet Meats & Wurst-Haus
4540 El Camino Real
Los Altos, CA 94022
I went on a Tuesday about 3:30 PM to browse their selections and buy some sausages. It's on the west end of the Village Court Plaza in Los Altos at San Antonio and ECR, so lots of parking. They also have a small dine in area and outside on the walkway for their deli sandwich selections. There was no wait at the counter when I was there.
They have an extensive selection of fresh sausages at the counter, packed and refrigerated sausages and meats and frozen items, even game. I got a couple fresh Polish and Hot Link sausages to take home. Both had dense finely ground meat with slightly tough casings. The Polish was mostly seasoned with pepper and not very spicy, I long for the cheap good old Costco food court Polish Dog. The Hot Link was spicy and very good. I would prefer a less tough casing for both.
I was happy with the flavor of both and can't wait to try some other selections. I will repeat.”

“2nd time at this wonderful market, reminded me why we are repeat customers to people so friendly and a unique grocery store with great products.
Love the place!”
“Cool little market for Polynesian and Indians. Family owned I believe. We come here a lot when we have events and we need certain meat that they don't sell at other stores.”
“Love coming to this store. A young lady name Azucet always helps me with a very genuine smile and very friendly. Will definitely keep coming out here. Best chavez in the area of Cali ?”
“I don't know what these negative reviews are talking about. The service was great, and most importantly, the have the best cuts of meat for galbi tang and galbi chim. Super friendly, would go back!”
“In this shop you will find fresh food, and top quality products, its service is fast and friendly, open 7 days a week; It has a large parking lot. If you pass through Menlo Park and want to try a little piece of Mexico, come in and enjoy their burritos, meat in green sauce, carbits, pork rinds, avocados!”
“I have placed several orders from here and really appreciate how fast the delivery is. The only issue I have had is that no one ever responds to messages left via email or voicemail. I’ve been trying to find out whether the marinated chicken is hand-slaughtered or machine-slaughtered. Could someone please confirm this?”

“Great shop and always open. It's convenient with halal ans organic chicken options.
I feel like I have found a butcher shop like back home”
“I purchase lamb and chicken from here. It is a clean store with polite management.I have the middle-eastern guy, cut the meat for me. Reason for 4 stars is that the second butcher cuts meat awkwardly. If the middle eastern guy is not available,I just buy whole chicken and ground meat.”
“I went to the store on Rue Cardenas and found alot of fruit on sale, the store is very clean & organized, very nice prices. Walter was very nice he helped me definitely will recommend this store to anyone in the neighborhood”
