“Went back again the other night! Had the melt off the bones lamb shank. They are huge and at the price of lamb shanks today, I doubt I could have bought them for much less and then still have to cook them for hours! Plus their teas! I asked what was served at the cafe (where you now have to order the warm foods) and not only did the fellow show me, he suggested dried rose petals and cardamom to increase the taste. Sure, I bought the tea and the rose petals, but he'd also gone back to search for the tea I wanted! such lovely helpful people!”

“Fabulous independent, family-owned supermarket in Berkeley. It's huge, with a wider selection of organic and natural products than Whole Foods. It has a large produce section, lots of fresh & prepared foods, and some unique finds. They also offer a lot of local, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free items. I came in for a few things and filled a whole cart of things I wanted to try. 😆”

“Someone told me about this place they have a variety of excellent meats. It's always fresh and comes in bundles if you choose. The prices are reasonable and they take (Cash, EBT,Debit) for your items to purchase. Soooo what are you ? waiting for? Come one, come all you won't be sorry for your selections you choose. “Great Supermarket With Amazing Variety
Hand’s Super Market is an excellent place to shop. What really stands out is the wide variety of products, especially their Latino foods, which makes it easy to find items you don’t usually see in regular grocery stores. It’s clear the store puts a lot of effort into serving the local community.
The Latino section is very well stocked with snacks, drinks, frozen items, spices, and pantry staples. On top of that, the meat market is a huge plus. They offer fresh, high-quality meats with a good selection, and everything is well maintained and clearly displayed. You can tell freshness and quality are a priority.
The store is clean, spacious, and well-organized. The produce is fresh, shelves are fully stocked, and the layout makes shopping easy. Customer service is great — the staff is friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and checkout is fast even during busy hours.
Overall, Hand’s Super Market is a great addition to the neighborhood. Between the variety of groceries, the Latino products, and the excellent meat market, it’s a one-stop shop. I highly recommend it and will definitely keep coming back.”

“Amazing burger! We ordered the avocado burger, generous amount of avocado! Wings had a nice crunch and they're huge! Huge kids meal portions. Mozzarella sticks were ok. Prices were pretty decent. Wide selection of items, it was a bummer to find out their ice cream machines were broken.”

This is not your typical neighborhood convenience store, it’s part mini-market, part deli, and packed with drinks, accessories, and just about anything you might suddenly need on the go. If you’re nearby or just passing through, this place is a must stop for cheap, delicious eats made fresh to order, sandwiches, fried chicken, milkshakes... You name it.

“Small but this store is packed with every thing u could think of and more.. the owner just did a complete remodel of the store it's so nice inside... lighting and new artwork .. any bottle of liquor that you are looking for they have... nice big wine beer and mixed drinks .. section as well.. I had been looking for these can Paloma's .. (I had in Mexico) can here and they were here I was so excited.. they also keep bottles in the fridge which is very convenient...small store with lots of traffic.. they get you in and out.. parking isn't the best but it's worth stopping in .. owner is so nice and humble man”

“A tofu shop in Chinatown. What I would like to highlight is not the low price, but the freshness and deliciousness of the tofu. I realized that tofu is just like vegetables and fruits, and freshness is extremely important in determining its taste. It's a hard type of tofu that Japanese people don't like, but when you add it to miso soup, it's delicious and you'll gulp it down. Please buy the one that doesn't come in a pack. Recommended.”

“The perfect convenience store for when you're on Oak St towards Octavia to US-101 or I-80 and the Bay Bridge. You can easily stop for the necessities during your commute street parking is easy, and the staff are super friendly. For my commute it's a pint of Haagen-Dazs, a Gatorade and a bag of Kettle brand chips for the days when there is traffic.. Let's just say I eat a lot of ice cream. What's your favorite snack during a long commute?”
“The people working here are very sweet. Fair prices and they have a little bit of everything. Couldn't find lemons in Chinatown...no problem, this darling little market has lemons, sparkling water, nuts, cheeses, wine, snacks, veggies, toiletries...all the essentials. Love this little gem and the granny who always gives little crackers to you when you check out.”

“My love for Mi Carnal runs so, so deep. Where else can you get large avocados for 3 for $1 or two honeydews for $1? Or in the summer, 20 limes for $1? Or 2 lbs of navel oranges for $1? I mean the specials here are actually crazy. I regularly walk out of here with 20lb of groceries for around 10 bucks. Yes, the groceries outside are definitely some type of salvage and should be carefully chosen and then eaten IMMEDIATELY (or as soon as you can manage). Sure, everything else in the market is priced pretty normally. But seriously, how did this neighborhood get so lucky? This is THE spot for very ripe groceries at an incredible price.”

“With the number of grocery shopping options on Stockton Street, it's easy to overlook this 3-in-1market. Given the store size, you won't find a comprehensive variety of produce or products. It's a backup shopping spot for me when I'm unable to find vegetables or cooking ingredients either at that SoCal based chain supermarket or other neighboring stores. They have fish tanks in the rear area behind the cashier counter and back right corner while the meat section is along the right wall towards the front as you walk in. In the center area, you'll find open freezer bins with various seafood like abalone, oysters, mussels, scallops, and sea cucumber as well as packed fish balls and other processed seafood products. I've come here a couple times when my normal shopping spot didn't have okra. I come here normally when I can't find okra. I can't vouch for their meats and seafood price and quality wise as I have not bought from those sections. Good backup spot for me.”
