“Went today (Black Friday) and they were giving tarot cards to the first 50 people! I bought a necklace and they gave me the tarot deck and I have to say it’s absolutely amazing. I highly recommend going here! It’s the only metaphysical store I go to around here. The owner is so nice and knowledgeable as well as everyone who works there! Thank you so much!”
“Great selection of contemporary, classics, and everything in between. The books are in fantastic condition, and awesome customer service. Definitely going back asap.”

“If you are a avid reader of books this is the place for you. Older books, CD's and some games are here that were donated by good people. The selection is vast. The great part is that the prices are beyond reasonable. Plus the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. Parking is a bit tight but overall this place is a hidden gem.”
“Special shout out to Underground Books, Manager Kamuri, and Assistant Manager Uriah for truly supporting our Autism Acceptance Month campaign and helping us increase awareness and support within the Black community 🤎
Together, we were able to host “Talking ‘Bout Autism,” an important community conversation centered around autism in the Black community, advocacy, resources, and support for families.
Spaces like Underground Books matter because they continue to open their doors for meaningful dialogue, education, culture, and connection. Thank you for believing in the work and helping our families feel seen and heard.
We appreciate y’all deeply ✨”
“This toy store is awesome! So many unique toys that you can try out before purchasing. They even have a table filled with toys for the little ones to play with while you shop around. Prices are reasonable especially considering that you get to try the toy (in the store) before buying it!”
“This is the place to be every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. There are tons of vendors selling their goods for fair prices. Food, jewelry, clothing, art, literature and seminars. There also a lot of permanent black owned businesses open 7 days a week at the market place. Anything from legal services, church, clothing stores, counseling, self help work shops, music production and much more.”

“I personally enjoyed buying stuff from here. I highly highly recommend that if you are going to buy books from here that you sign up for the school’s program EOPS to help you throughout the school year with a bunch of things like classes, book assistance, supplies, and more. Other than that picking up the books were easy and confirmation of pick up only took less than a day to a day through email.”

“Ordered for curbside and it was fast and easy! I just parked and they came out to me and got my order info! Shortly after I was delivered my items. It wasn't contactless because the guy scrolled my phone to get the order number. Overall, it was a good experience but I can see some issues with having separate workers walking back and forth from the bookstore to each car in the parking lot. It's efficient and convenient for me but not the employees. I'm grateful for the service though!”
“Came here for a tattoo by Mely and obsessed with how it turned out!! She also communicates super fast when I inquired and booked my appointment, highly recommend her and this shop!”
