About Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada
Goodwill Sacramento Valley & Northern Nevada is a convenient donation center and store. The donation area is on the side of the building with cover, is clean, and has easy access, though there are homeless tents near the exit. The store itself can be busy, with items that go fast, but it offers a lot of selections. Shoppers find heaps of items like Christmas platters, bowls, serving dishes, and decor, including glassware, jeans, work pants, and household goods for an apartment. It is described as a quaint and less busy store, perfect for a stroll, with great customer service. The location is helpful for accepting truckloads of donations, including clothes, shoes, jewelry, kitchenware, books, and medical equipment like wheelchairs and walkers, allowing people to give usable items a new life instead of adding to landfills. Tacos next door are noted as perfect for post-shopping snacking.
Convenient drop-off, usually the line isn't full when I drive by the donation drop off at the back of the store, but here's one thing: This store feels smaller than the Elk Grove location. Also, the electronics section is really small, it's like 1/5 of the elk grove location. But it's still okay.

I always look for certain items in thrift stores, I was successful in finding what I like. The store was well organized and prices were fair.

Prices have really gotten high. It almost doesn't pay to thrift these days.
