“If you are a huge fan of French cuisine, like I am and want to dine at home, then Eurofood Depot Gourmet Market is for you! Located in the business area of Miramar or Mira Mesa, this tiny little market sponsored by the French society of San Diego carries authentic, shipped from France merchandise at somewhat reasonable prices. I have been shopping here for several years, and I am always happy with the quality of their products; the freshness, taste, appearance, and the extremely friendly and helpful staff that are more than willing to assist you. Once you enter this tiny establishment, you will be hooked as I was many years ago. Inside you will find an assortment of meats, cheeses, French butter, jams, preserves, cookies, duck rigglets, various pates, sauces, pastries, dry goods, candies, frozen foods (i.e, duck confit, sausages, escargot, veggies, etc.), oils, pastas, canned seafoods (tuna, sardines, cuttlefish...), and numerous seasonal items. Have a look at my photos and you will see how rewarding a visit could be. Highly recommended.”

“Best German style deli around. Their restaurant is 10/10 and feels just like you're eating at mom's house. Could not recommend this place more. Be warned, this place is a senior hot spot so lunch, early dinner and Saturday/Sunday are super busy.”

“The Butchery is what you would think it would be by the name. It’s a butcher with fine meats but they also have a plethora of other things like seafood, groceries, wine, etc. They also have a sit down area where you can order something to eat and sit there to eat. Prices are a bit high on the meats but I suppose it’s just the markup for the areas served.”

The store manager is absolutely amazing, always providing outstanding customer service, and wants to make sure they can accommodate new items that we may want. “Holy Boar! My sister and brother in law went to food show in Vegas and brought back some goodies. As a New Yorker, I’ve never heard of this brand and like most Sicilian New Yorkers, I like to think of myself as a soppressata and salami connoisseur. With that said, the boar was exceptional- I’ve had other boar salami, this one had the best flavor without being too irony as I’ve tasted in the past with other boar- feral swine for win! Second one, the elk - I don’t hate elk, it’s not my favorite but I like to enjoy elk in small doses and this was the occasion. It definitely has an earthy taste to it and it was drier than the boar and venison but again, very delicious and this company nailed it perfectly. This is the first I’ve had it with pork mixed and I believe it created a wonderful flavor. Venison: I love venison so I’m biased and this doesn’t disappoint. I didn’t want to share this one with my husband so, shamelessly I ate the whole thing myself in a matter of a couple days for lunch and dinner. The truffles were very good, the Italian bistro I was good, however my favorite so far is French Rosette- I don’t know if it’s the nutmeg and garlic for me but this one is delicious:: chefs kiss::. I’m disappointed my sister and BIL didn’t bring home the duck to try but I’ll definitely be getting that on my purchase. We have several more to try over the next few weeks and I’m looking for to it- I didn’t want to forget to write this review. Amazing products!”
