“Brought in my 2019 Honda Accord because there was a loud scraping noise behind my tire. They quickly diagnosed it as a bent dust shield that was rubbing against my rotor. They were able to bend it back and informed me there was no damage to the rotor. Everyone was super friendly and explained everything on detail. Great customer service and a fair price!”

Juan always answers the phone, always at the shop and is ready to work. I can tell he is knowledgeble, experienced and love his profession. He is so very charismatic person and also friendly amd respectful. He always explained the details and the process extra well to me in English since Im a female with less mechanic knowledge. “This AAMCO repair shop treated me very well. They were very helpful and communicative. I thought that my Transmission was going bad, but after a complete inspection they determined that my transmission was fine and then they helped point me in other directions to determine the problem with my car. After all of that, they refused to charge me for the diagnostics. I highly reccomend them for any transmission issues.”

“I am so happy I found Kotter’s in Escondido I’ve been traveling in my vintage VW Bus. I found Kotter’s it was recommended on a local San Diego Volkswagen Facebook page. Grateful for that post. I took my bus to Kotter’s they not only fix the issues that I had but nonchalantly fixed an issue with my gear oil leaking that I was told by two different mechanics it would cost me around 2000 dollars. They fixed all my issues well below that price. If you have a love of these old buses and have one yourself do yourself a favor and take it to Kotter’s you won’t be disappointed.”

“Daniel is very nice and responsive to any issues I might have with my 2011 Rav4. He books the appointments and makes sure that the operation runs smoothly. I am sure that the reason my Rav4 it is still running is because this repair shop is the best in San Diego. They listen to you and try to find the issue (if you have one). They book their appointments with time to spare so the mechanics are not late giving you back your car. Since I am in my 60's and don't have time to worry about my car, I find Daniel and the repair personnel to be very trustworthy and responsible. They even tell you about future concerns that may need to be addressed. I cannot recommend Alternative Automotive in Escondido more that I already have. Have your car(s) serviced here and you won't be sorry.”

“I was working on my Mercedes 722.6 transmission and broke the plastic clip in the valve body that connects to the internal shift lever. This part is not offered by Mercedes. I bought a donor valve body from Z&A. He talked me through some technical details and was very informative and helpful. I would take my vehicle to this shop!”
“Fantastic!! My 2007 sienna needed a major tuneup with check engine light on. This is a major undertaking as many parts have to be moved to access some spark plugs. Also needed a new MAF Air flow sensor for better fuel mileage. This project normally takes several hours, but Jose and his staff had it done in three hours. He told me exactly how much it would cost and gave me a fair deal. Very experienced and knowledgeable about vehicles and would highly recommend this shop for all your vehicle repairs.”
