“Why pay full price when you have a store like the Moth Hole? I love how they organize their store. By item, size and then by color. Want a medium blue shirt/blouse? BAM! Easy to find!
They take such amazing care in curating the clothes they put on consignment.
I am always greeted when I enter. THAT is so important to me. If they are busy with a customer they take that short second to welcome me. They appreciate their customers.
I appreciate the staff of the Moth Hole and enjoy shopping, whether I leave with a bag full of clothes, of whether I look forward to coming back to see what they new to the store.
Do give the Moth Hole a try!”
“Super cool place to browse
Stardust Antiques has an amazing selection of vintage and nostalgic stuff—tons of unique finds you won’t see anywhere else. The displays are really well done and fun to explore. That said, prices felt a bit steep, so it’s probably better for collectors than bargain hunters. Still, definitely worth a visit if you love digging through cool old treasures.”
“I absolutely love that the items at Threads are so well curated and thoughtfully displayed. The owner and staff are lovely too! Overall it's a delightful place to shop for pieces to add to my wardrobe. ✨”
“I had a great experience at Plato’s Closet! They had a huge selection with lots of great options, and everything was well organized and easy to browse. The store was clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the prices were fantastic. I’ll definitely be back to shop again!”
“These guys were great. Not only did they have what I was searching forever for (Hellbat Batman), they were knowledgeable and very courtesy. Will for sure go here first when looking for gifts.”
“My favorite consignment shop in Orangevale!! The owner is so great & I have her do estate sales for my real estate business. And we've been friends for 20+ years so that's a bonus! She has so many treasures and unique items. Check it out for yourself!! ?”
“I haven't been to a flea market in years. This flea market has all the flea market vibes. From brand new items to good used items. This flea market had it all. I ended up not getting the tik tok outfit but got some good quality knock off crocs. Overall good experience.”
“This is one of the absolute best thrift stores in Sacramento. As soon as you walk in the staff greets you with warmth and kindness. I have gotten so many great finds at this location.
Their presentation is one of my favorite parts. Everything is well organized and easy to navigate. They have quality unique items. The prices are reasonable and they offer many specials.
Today I visited with my bestie and we were showered with great service from Louie, Lynn, Zola and one more gentleman who made sure we got a cart.”
“This is one of our favorite thrift stores they constantly adding new items all of the time, good quality items at very reasonable prices clean and very well organized good job to there staff.”
“I have been consigning and buying here for over 10 years. The first owner sold to current owner who has taken it to a higher level of consigning using digital tracking investing in software to track for consigners. All communication thru email loyalty programs.
They created a win for the consigners and buyers. High quality brands that are new or in good condition for another owner.
Many items you could not purchase today as they don’t make purses from real leather or shoes.
All I consign I tried selling thru Posh but you can’t try on with Posh. You have to ship it and if you travel a lot it’s much more time consuming.
Here foot traffic to a well designed shop and a loyal clientele with dressing rooms well displayed items and care for your experience with the people is outstanding. It results in your items selling and others buying items many times myself as inventory is great
You can use your credits toward new items for yourself with additional savings or cashing out with Venmo or check.
Highly recommend you shop or consign and better yet Both??”
“An organized and clean place. Their prices are reasonable for used and new items. The toilet is not available for customers to use.
I recommend this place for customers once or twice a month”
“This is the best antique and vintage store in the greater Sacramento area. The staff is friendly and helpful and it is filled with beautiful merchandise. When you walk in, it’s like you are walking into someone’s special home. Not like those other stores that have cubbyholes all in a row. The layout of this store is fabulous. Love this store!!”
“Pros: Well organized, easy to find type and size of clothes I was looking for. Pricing seemed fair but I didn’t look at a lot of items. There is a fitting room.
Cons: No kids clothes, and selection of adult clothes and shoes wasn’t large enough to bring me back soon.”

“Very quaint shop with a nice variety of high and low end items for most every budget. Some items are priced as high of higher than retail, but all in all, they have nice furniture and things for nearly any taste. Enjoy seeing the nice variety.”
“I went there today 11/7/2025
There are many wonderful Christmas articles
and many other wonderful items for gifts. Clothes slacks, sweaters, dresses, jeans etc”
“This is the best store! They have so many treasures: jewelry, kitchen stuff, clothing, shoes, paintings... I bought a huge painting here that will be a center piece of my house. So happy I found it”
“Renaissance has moved to a new location in El Dorado Hills! It is absolutely stunning with high end pieces! After reading these past reviews, it appears some of those "rude" employees have been replaced because I was met with nothing but attention with my shopping experience. My friend and I walked out with some incredible finds!”
“I recently visited Upscale Consignment Furniture on Auburn Blvd and had a really good experience. The store has a nice selection of clean, well kept furniture, and everything looked organized and easy to browse. I appreciated that the pieces didn’t feel worn out like you sometimes see in consignment shops.
Customer service was also very good. The owner was friendly, attentive, and willing to answer questions. Overall, it was a pleasant shopping experience, and I would definitely stop by again if I’m looking for quality furniture at a good value.”
“Came in yesterday and was surprised with all the inventory they had. I was greeted and when asked questions guided to where i needed to go, I am a soon to be grandfather and this store made my life so much easier. I found a couple of items that’s going to give the title of best grandfather of the year on them because of these stores😉 Thank you to the girls who make this store run smoothly and the community.”
“If you're looking for thrift shop bargains or wanting to donate; then check out the Goodwill in Folsom, CA, on Plaza Drive. The shop inventory includes books, housewares, home decor, shoes and clothes (men's, women, and children). It has a good size quantity of inventory. The store is kept tidy, and the items are organized and clean. No dirty, damaged items.
I like to browse the housewares and home decor to look for up-cycling projects. When they do get in full pattern dish serving sets; they bundle them up and price by item type. So they bundle the dinner plates, bowls, etc, and price those bundles. The pricing seems fair based on brand and quality. Next housewares is the book aisle. The book selection is impressive but would help with better signage on genre.
They have shopping carts but some aisles, particularly the clothes racks, are narrow and accommodate one cart at a time and some coordinated efforts from other customers to maneuver about. The women's clothes are in good condition. On my last recent shopping trip, I spotted several size 6 Banana Republic jeans priced at $12.99. Current styles, great condition. Thrift shopping takes patience and calm to find the bargains and your future treasures.
The donation drop off is open during shop hours. It's located in the back of the store. It's a car drive up drop off. So pack patience as well, as you wait your turn. Before you pack your car with donations, I recommend reading the website regarding what items they accept and more importantly don't accept. Plus no dumping after hours. They have security cameras.”
“Priest, one of the managers (yes like a holy man ) was nothing short of his name. You can tell he cares about the staff and the store itself. I’d definitely recommend this store aside from the last positive experience I had. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Also very organized for being as busy as they are .”
“The Discovery Shop is a great place to find bargains on books, DVDs, shoes, purses, games, clothes, sporting goods and household items. This store is organized and everything is easy to find. The prices are reasonable and there is a good selection.”
“To s of nice clothes, sometime it's hard to find exactly what I need in the right size, but more times than not I find waaaaay more than I need. Great pricing and friendly staff”
“Exceptional quality consignment—expect to find amazing furniture and jewelry at a fraction of the retail price. I just took home a solid wood Ethan Allen bed frame for $260 (originally $3,000)! They get new arrivals every day, and the shopping experience is a joy.”
“I am going to share my unbiased opinion of this goodwill as I am a regular and come usually twice a week.
There will be times where something has been broken, spilled, or dirty, it is suggested to wear gloves when digging through the bins. Always wash your hands after digging through as you dont know where stuff has been. The clothes are usually not as dirty as the assorted toys/knick-knacks. Usually things aren't super bad though.
The staff have been very friendly to me when I've interacted with them. As long as you A) dont get in the way of the bins when they're swapped out, B) you dont let your children run around too far away from you, C) you don't dig through the beens when they are putting new ones in. Sometimes they will even weigh my clothes with my other things which makes it cheaper! Books/DVDs/Vinyls are all 25 cents.
This place is always crowded and usually all of the shopping carts are taken. I usually just use a bag to put stuff in as getting a cart is nearly impossible. When bins are swapped and newly replaced people tend to swarm around, if you want to find good things you'll probably have to get used to that chaos. However, some good stuff is still left over after the swarm of people. Shoes and clothes are usually more crowded, especially new shoes. If youre looking for a laid back calm environment, this may not be the place for you.
Things are pretty cheap as its weighed by the pound although they've been slowly raising their prices. But usually I can get a full bag of stuff for like 7 dollars. I do stay longer though around 2-3 hours for bin rotations. People have complained about a group of guys who always come here and scalp all the good stuff to resell, im talking like 20 guys so, which kind of sucks but thats kind of the nature of this place. I see it as competitive thrifting, be quick and scout out or leave empty handed.
Thats my feedback, overall I like the place but you have to enter the place with a certain mindset and not expect to find anything in particular. You can literally find anything here, even stuff you probably dont want to find or touch lol. Just have fun and maybe find something cool for cheap.”
“The store wasn't as organized as it probably should've been but it was close to closing time. I do have to rave about a young man that works there though...I wish I would've gotten his name but he was absolutely amazing. I (embarrassingly) had to use a couple of different payments for my purchase and I also had changed my mind on amounts a couple of times (I swear I'm not one of those customers ??). But the entire time, he stayed calm and polite..very patient with me, and was even smiling & talking to me throughout the transaction. That young man is going to go far in life...”
“This girl was on a hunt for a deal.
Not gonna lie there were so weird items but also treasures!
The clothes racks weren't too full or crazy.
Pretty organized store.
Staff was friendly.
Would go back.”
“Passed by here earlier this afternoon. I came here to sell a Levi's black leather jacket that I bought on Amazon three years ago in 2022. It was $200 when I purchased it online three years ago. I sold this leather jacket because it was too heavy, and I had another jacket at home. This is My first time selling at Crossroads Trading. The service was good. I received an offer that was 10% off the original price of the leather jacket which was $16.80 in cash.”
“I am aware that the general consensus is that the staff could be rude but from my experience as a buyer they have been polite. Came in today and saw a pair of Jordan 4’s, the team was friendly and patient with me and even allowed me to analyze the shoes closer. I bought them and got them authenticated and they came back authentic. I’m very happy and recommend you give them a chance as they have cool clothing here.”
“I've lived here for two years and JUST took my first excursion here. It's absolutely amazing. Almost like a condensed version of the antique mall (like really condensed) but full of great things for people who hate to shop from Target or Home Goods. 10/10 would go again.”
