“I'm a big thrifter and love to shop in every states local thrift stores. Stumbled upon this little gem while exploring there area. They have serval locations. Nice selection of career clothing, trendy styles. Plus, jewelry, men's clothing, and a separate area in back for boys & girls clothes, infant & toddlers too! Store was clean and organized which I appreciate while browsing. Didn't pick anything up today. However, I will definitely be back. The pricing is super reasonable and additionally this chain supports women and children. So, this is an even better reason to purchase and donate your items here.”

“I found some really good stuff for work here. Good brands and nice quality. I paid $2.90 for most of the pants I got, except I think they charged $4.90 or $6 for some brand new (still had the tags) pants from Express. This store may not look like much, but they have nice quality stuff for cheap!”

“Im a big vintage Levi's collector. This place always has a good selection. Other really cool vintage clothes. Some of its a little costumey but the right person will make it work! Every time I go in whoever is at the register is always super nice and seem genuinely happy that you just came in to shop. Love that and it makes you feel appreciated as a customer. Be warned, some of the collectible stuff like the Levi's will be a little pricey, but worth it. Especially since they are way more affordable than sellers on Depop eBay and poshmark. In general, just check them out for one of a kind cool clothes and accessories. If you love vintage you'll love this place. I think they have new stuff too, but I don't really focus on it. But the option is nice. Great place!”

“Racks Vintage clothing is a fun and nostalgic place to browse. Clothing is organized by style, era and color. The storefront looks small but it packs a punch! Great selection of purses, handbags, costume jewelry, scarves and belts. There are two racks of sale items outside.Racks gets "new" clothing regularly, so shopping there once a week won't get old.You should go take a peek.”

“A small but beautifully curated spot with high quality midcentury pieces. The shop is located in the back of WAL Public Market with a handful of other hipster antique stores with a similar vibe.”

“You can find all sorts of things at the Folsom Flea Market but it's first come, first serve. I bought The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brand new for $50. The guy also had other games but I wanted Tears of the Kingdom. I found some vendors sell real Pokémon cards and others that sell fake Pokémon cards. You can also buy your deodorant/antiperspirant here for a lot cheaper than at the store. The photos with Brilliant Stars Booster Pack is to show you which one is fake (R) and real(L).”

“This is a hit or miss kind of place. Sometimes you find wonderful stuff, and sometimes it's overpriced crap. But.. they sell makeup! I Love buying high-end makeup here and always pick up some for my daughter in law's stockings. The workers here are super nice. Worth a stop!”

“Finally visited this thrift shop. Bought great wooden pant/jacket hangers at nice price ($4 for 5 and there was more) and three puzzles ($3 ea and there were many more). Generally quality items, mostly very good condition and the shoes were quality brands. Lots of stuff from the 80s (especially clothing) gave me flashbacks. Overeager workers/volunteers. I really like to be left alone when I shop. When I decided I'd hand them my items while I checked out the shoes (good condition, many like new, though spendy $35+), they wanted my name - no thanks. Place isn't large nor are the racks or shelves crowded. Parking along the side (coming from I-80, enter parking lot just before the store) and in back. Exit is on the other side of the store. Donations - go around back. Limited hours it seems. The Yelp page says the proceeds all go to help the local community. I'm always skeptical of claims but I'll choose to believe it and I'm glad this clean, tidy thrift shop with a clean parking lot has a generous positive mission (unlike the unscrupulous "GW"). I might swing by again in the future, if it's convenient. Definitely would prefer to be coming from I-80 instead of making another awkward u-turn coming from El Camino Avenue.”

“Very quaint shop with a nice variety of high and low end items for most every budget. Some items are priced as high of higher than retail, but all in all, they have nice furniture and things for nearly any taste. Enjoy seeing the nice variety.”

“After driving around for more than an hour looking for a Goodwill that was still open for donations, I ended up at this location. I'm so happy I did because I was assisted by a wonderful gentleman named Rocky, who had mercy on me even though it was 7:15 and they stop taking donations at 7. He was super nice and helpful. He didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing him one bit, which I really appreciated being in customer service myself. He was even looking on his phone trying to help me find drop boxes or a Goodwill Express location that might be closer to me for future reference. I really appreciate Rocky and the fact that he went out of his way to take my donations after hours even though I'm sure he had a lot of other work to do. Even the person that answered the phone was so nice and friendly. Such a better experience overall than the Goodwill in West Sacramento which is the closest location to me. They could definitely take a page from this location when it comes to their customer service!”

“Shop Old Gold is a women's boutique selling new and mostly vintage clothes, shoes, accessories, jewelry, sunglasses, and gifts. The selections are beautifully curated. Nice mix of different clothing styles... modern, bohemian, mod, grunge, and street wear. Geared to the hip snd trendy ... which I am not but most others are. The vintage items are in great condition. It passed my look and touch tests. The shoe wall was eye catching. They have a loafers, ballerina flats, casual walking, and lots of boots... ankle, high heeled, cowboy. The leather shoes were all well conditioned, no dry cracking leather. Prices are priced above thrift but below vintage. The greeting cards, jewelry, candies, gifts, and stickers are from local artists. Well of course since the shop is in the WAL Public Market building which stores art galleries and studios on the upper floors. The building is a turn of the century warehouse that was converted into living and retail spaces. The whole vibe of the market shops is local, independent small business collaboration. The WAL is on 1140 R Street in the Historic R Street District in midtown Sacramento.”

The store is very clean and well managed. I always find awesome decorative items for my home and great planters for my succulents. For all my thrifty shoppers, visit this location and let me know what you think. Happy thrifty shopping !”

“THIS STORE GAS NO FITTING ROOMS. I listed 5 stars so this review won't get buried right away. This place has no fitting rooms. I assume they shut them down due to theft, but no reason has been given. I'm not going to shop at this thrift store if I can't try anything on. It's kind of ridiculous.”

“My daughter loves this store. She found a pair of Levi’s new with tags for $20.00 they were $60.00 jeans, she also saw on the rack a pair of Good Americans for under $30.00 and the sell for $100.00 so you can find great deals in this store.”
