“I needed a turnbuckle and fast. Not a single Ace Hardaware (or Lowes or Home Depot) had it in stock except in Fairfax. Picked it up curbside and Rupa brought it to my car. It was 1/2 and inch too big. Went looking for the next size smaller, only Fairfax had it. Picked it up first thing in the morning great service. Every employee was interested in me getting what I needed and Rupa searched it out for me and told me to return the first one for a refund. I had only been to this hardware/garden/curio store once before this weekend but all three of my experiences their were somehow better than any other hardware store. And I have been to a lot of hardware stores.”

“Pini Hardware is great ! So easy to work with. I have a SodaStream and I get my refills for it there. When I got my new SodaStream I had to switch CO2 canisters to a different type and they were great about it. Highly recommend them.”

“Best store I’ve been to in a long time. Feels like a family run business for generations. The staff is very knowledgeable and service oriented. They take pride in what they do.
When I called in about a repair, Noel was both helpful and understanding…which prompted me to drop by.
Ended up purchasing a Husqvarna leaf blower to replace my old one that had reach its day ( 25 years old ).
Hope this one performs the same.

While her San Rafael store had a good chunk of what we needed, without her knowledge of the entire Tap inventory structure I would have been out of luck. Terrific customer service, something I've frequently had at Tap but never take for granted!”
“The crew at Corbett's are terrific! The woman who has helped me a couple of times makes me feel like I'm her next door neighbor. She looks out for her customers. She friendly, knowledgable and can work out a glitch quickly and with a smile.I've also enjoyed some fun conversations with a fellow who checked me out a couple of times - esp about my surprise at seeing pies at a hardware store! I wanted to share a quick review of my recent experience purchasing a Traeger grill based on Perplexity’s recommendation to use Marin Ace in San Rafael.
Perplexity identified Marin Ace as the best low-hassle option for buying, delivering, and setting up a Traeger in Belvedere, and that recommendation was spot on. The purchase process was extremely easy – clear information, no confusion, and everything handled efficiently from the start. Delivery was scheduled quickly and the grill arrived much sooner than I expected.
The delivery and setup team did an outstanding job. They assembled the grill perfectly, walked through the basics, and made sure everything was working as it should. Just as importantly, they were careful and professional inside the home, taking care not to damage the floors or bump into walls or furniture. It felt like a true white-glove experience.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The combination of Perplexity’s guidance and Marin Ace’s execution made what could have been a complicated, heavy, and annoying process into something completely seamless. I would absolutely recommend this setup to anyone in the area looking to purchase and install a Traeger.

“I don't write a lot of reviews, in fact it's probably been years since my last one, but I have to give a Big Shout Out to Rob Melia and the rest of the staff at Ferguson's in Corte Madera. I had a problem with an order, and Rob could not of been nicer in helping me resolve it. He certainly went above and beyond, going the extra mile to help me. These days when customer service is almost nonexistent, it was refreshing to see it's alive and well at Ferguson's and says a lot about the company. If you need anything to do with plumbing supplies, I'm happy to give my unconditional recommendation to them--you won't be disappointed.”

The team helped us wheel a huge grill across a busy intersection and placed it right in our backyard, the same day, just in time for Memorial Day weekend with family. Talk about feeling like a true hometown store! Excellent customer service. Thank you so much!”
“I was greatly impressed when Paul said he would split a 47-pound bag of cement in two bags so I could carry it up my stairs for a DIY project. At first, I called five hardware stores in San Rafael, asking for a 25-pound bag. The smallest was forty-seven pounds. Only Paul presented a solution. It was such a small purchase, but he did not see it that way. He just saw a positive outcome. I am so grateful. The entire staff is committed and knowledgeable every time I come. Yup, Ace is the place indeed.”
“I've not been to Home Depot in quite a few years. Today, I walked through the doors, I noticed how organized this location was. I had a quick look around and realized, I needed help with not only answering a few questions about toilets, but getting the toilet I ultimately chose to the cash register. I found a gentleman named Brock, who answered all my questions about what they had in stock. He also helped with the handle for the shower. I felt like a VIP working with this man who ultimately asked for extra assistance from David, his coworker to put it in my car. Come to find out, Brock was the manager of this location. “Appreciate this place is right in Fairfax and an easy go to when I need some hardware. Could be me and the level of questions I ask because I wanna get my project right, and I often find the staff are annoyed and dismissive with me. Bummed me out today when an older staff member was frustrated with and openly berating a young kid working there. It’s all relative so I don’t know the whole story. Also, must have balance in a review ;) there are numerous beings that work there that are always nice and very helpful. I will continue to shop here for small projects 🌻🐝.. .”
