“We shop at our local store back home so it was easy to shop around this store as we stocked up for the week for our lake visit!
Fresh deli meats, butchers cuts, and all the adult beverages you can think of!”
“Super nice people. I forgot my wallet at the cabin and told them I'd be right back, If I can put my basket down near register. Came back and looked for basket and they put entire basket in cooler to keep my food fresh. Just awesome people.”
“Ride my 701 husky on the fire roads and almost always stop there to take a break and get a soda, I do wish they would fix the air machine. b cuz I need to air back up for the ride back down on the hwy. It's been out of service for a long time so I use CO2 cartridges but they get expensive.”
“What a wonderful place, especially Albert amazing person. He made it extremely quick and enjoyable experience each and every time I went. Well over 50 times thank you Albert hope to see you next time I visit up the mountain.”
“Love this place bc they have everything & are decently priced. Sweet customer service, very mom & pop vibes. Don't worry about the interior decor lol it's not about the looks with this place, it's about convenience!”
“Been shopping here 21 years. Generally very good selection of food. However, they have eliminated many items and brands I have purchased for years. Many items are constantly out of stock. Management has been changed so many times in the past few years after a GREAT manager, Ron, left. However, they still have great customer service. The staff is better than most stores. Very friendly and helpful.”
“Perfect for getting vacation food supplies you forgot like ice, chocolate, chips, jalapenos, tinned foods and the like. This is not a supermarket and I'm surprised people keep comparing it to one.And if paying a dollar or two extra is required for items so you can support local, save gas and get what you need, that seems like the right price, not overpriced.Yes it could be made a bit tidier and more modern but it's convenience was perfect for our stay in Big Bear.”
“I recently moved to Big Bear and this is my first time shopping at Stater Bros. I am so impressed with the large selection of organic produce and there is a large meat counter with quality meats. The staff has always been friendly and helpful”
“I stopped by to purchase our office pool Lottery tickets instead of buying them at a big corporate supermarket. The cashier was very nice and friendly while she handled my multiple transactions for Super Lotto. The store seems to get their regular local customers as the cashier seemed to know everyone coming in.”

“This a great locally owned market that has the basic stuff of what one would need when visiting. I've been shopping here every time I visit, to quickly stock up the cabin with essentials. I always get a warm welcome and even help to the car.”
“What a gem! First off, they have a surprising great selection of micro breweries hidden in the back by the dairy products (and it's not just IPAs! They actually have good lagers, porters, stouts and ales!) If you need last minute items for a Big Bear vacation on the north west side (Fawnskin) of the lake, Fawnskin market probably has it. Keep in mind it's a small market, so it might not be the brand you want, but something to get you by until the next day if you don't want to drive to the big markets on the south east side.”
