Aldi Debuts in Nevada with Las Vegas Area Stores
Aldi has arrived in Nevada, opening its first two stores in the Las Vegas area as part of its aggressive nationwide growth plan. The discount grocery chain known for its low prices and private label products opened locations in Henderson and North Las Vegas in late April, marking the 39th state where Aldi now operates.
The new stores kicked off with Vegas-themed celebrations, handing out commemorative quarter-sized poker chips that customers could use to unlock Aldi's signature shopping carts. Henderson shoppers got a special treat with the chance to win access to the "High Savers Room," featuring product samples and exclusive merchandise.
"Shoppers shouldn't have to compromise on quality to save money, and at Aldi, they don't have to. We've built our reputation on delivering real value without cutting corners," said Jason Hart, CEO of Aldi. "With 25% of U.S. households and counting trusting our products and low prices, we're growing rapidly from coast-to-coast."
A third store will open May 15 on Rainbow Boulevard, with a fourth location planned by year-end. The company partnered with DoorDash to announce the openings through a special display at the Sphere, Vegas's distinctive LED-covered entertainment arena.

"Our customers can save up to 36% on an average household's shopping list," said Shawn Eddy, regional VP for Aldi. "As shoppers look for better ways to stretch their dollar, Aldi is providing the Las Vegas area with easier access to quality groceries at affordable prices."
The Nevada expansion is part of Aldi's bigger growth strategy. The company plans to open more than 220 new stores this year and 800 total by the end of 2028. Aldi is also expanding elsewhere in the Southwest, with new locations coming to Southern California and Arizona.
Based in Germany, Aldi now operates more than 2,200 stores across the United States with over 45,000 employees.
