“We had a delightful time at the Gingerbread Mansion. Welcoming music greated us as Olivia gave us a tour. We were the only ones that arrived in time for the Wine and Charcuterie, I was surprised by that that. It was delicious. We played games in the parlor. And we stumbled into a Tiki night event at the Village Pub. Our room was stunning the bed was divine ✨ every detail is thought of. Breakfast was perfect. Ferndale is so charming. The Gingerbread Mansion is an Oasis. We are already dreaming of our next visit.”

“Breath-taking view, friendly staff and professional, respectful, helpful staff. Clean environment and well stocked rooms, fitness room, and pool area is clean, well stocked, and peaceful. Great for family get-aways and single or bring your friends environment food is good especially their huge cookies that are super yummy soft and freshly baked everyday. I also enjoy having their tacos and icecream with the cookie crumbles on top fresh from the oven. Always special events happening and never a bad time. I give them a five star as they deserve for their hard work. Never got to play the tables but the slots are fun and smoking are is not that over powering to have to endure. I absolutely adore this place!!!”

“I’ll start by saying that this motel exceeded my expectations. I paid $120 for a night (I booked only a day in advance, so it’s going to be more expensive anywhere doing that). I had to be up in Fortuna for a wedding the same day and asked about checking in early. The guy at the front desk was very accommodating and friendly and allowed me to check in early. There is plenty of parking. After checking into my room, it was very clean and it even had additional basic amenities I wouldn’t have expected from a 2-star motel. I had no problems with the room, and the layout makes it super easy and comfortable to stay in for a night. There were no noise issues with any of the nearby dwellings, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. After hearing about the notorious 2-star motels online, I half-expected there to be some type of bugs, but I was relieved to be able to sleep knowing there weren’t bugs anywhere in my room (or mattress). Everything advertised online about the Travel Inn and its amenities is accurate (some of which exceeded the expectations set), and some of the lower-star review writers think they’re entitled to 4-5 star amenities which were obviously not advertised nor mentioned anywhere in-person or online. I have absolutely no complaints while staying at the Travel Inn of Fortuna and will plan on using this as my motel when relatives nearby don’t have available rooms in their homes!
