“Sal's is my favorite cactus nursery. Best place and best prices for cacti and other succulents! It's Worth the drive.
They're usually open, but they're human too with families, so they might close on occasion for whatever reason. So, I recommend you call to make sure they're open before driving there, especially if you're from out of town! & be understanding if they can't see you. Everytime I've gone someone has been there, even when I didn't call first. Definitely recommend Sal's Cactus Nursery! Bring your cash, it's money well spent on awesome & healthy plants. Everything I've bought there in the past 7 years is still alive.

“Been meaning to write this review for awhile now…so a few weeks ago a buddy recommended Moon Valley as a good place for reasonably priced trees & shrubs. I visited their Fillmore location and had the pleasure of working with Kevin (The Tree Man!) Would've gotten all the wrong kind of bushes/shrubs/trees without Kevin's sage advice. He is a real tree guru. Kudos!”

“Otto’s and sons is the ultimate candy store for rose lovers. If you are visiting on a warm day, I highly suggest bringing a sun hat as the sun blares out here. They carry a plethora of roses ranging from climbers, trees, bushes and mini roses. Majority of roses range between $35-$60. There is a bathroom on site in their warehouse. For check out, you have to find staff as they are roaming around the grounds.
I purchased Koko Loco and Earth Angel bushes. It’s been a week and they seem to be healthy, thriving, and blooming. I look forward to returning even if it’s just to window shop and enjoy the roses.”
