“Yesterday my family and I got caught up in the pipeline explosion situation near Castaic Lake and things turned into a mess fast. I was on my motorcycle and absolutely freezing, and my parents were stuck nearby in our car. We were going down the I-5 freeway south from Bakersfield to Los Angeles and had to turn around and go back up I-5 north.

When I came into this Chevron, the two employees working were genuinely kind. They allowed me to get warmed up, get food, and get gas, and they even let me sit inside and eat because it was so cold outside. Massive difference from having to warm my hands up with my exhaust. That small bit of humanity made an incredible difference and saved my life.

If you’re those two employees: thank you. You made a stressful situation feel manageable, and I won’t forget it.”

“Super friendly and funny older gentleman at the register. Really brought a smile to my face after 30 minutes of stressful driving, running on fumes, worried that I'd run out of gas, all the while having a bladder ready to explode.

Arriving there after midnight, the place was an oasis!!”

“Got gas on the way to our destination northbound. We were towing a RV trailer, and the gas station is spacious. It has a bathroom outside so we didn’t have to go inside the convenience store. The price was reasonable.”

“This is the cheapest gas in the area. If your gas light is on and you are going down the 5 and it's been hours since you left Castaic behind and you are super freaking out about gas, first you'll see the gas stations in Gorman, and you will be tempted to stop. Because you need gas and probably a potty break. But trust me... You can wait until Frazier Mountain Rd. It's only like 2 more miles and most of it is downhill. You can coast on fumes and hold out for Flying J. Because it's cheap, big, and clean. We walked in to find the restroom and my daughter looks around and says, "Why is there like... everything.... here? What kind of gas station is this?" "Well, it's a rest stop. Not just a gas station. It's supposed to be a place to rejuvenate." "They've succeeded," she said..I agree. They have their Wendy's, some decent seating, spacious shopping, clean bathrooms, and even a decent selection of last minute snow play accessories. Stop at Flying J. You'll be pleased.”

“The staff here is fantastic! They went out of their way to help us with our needs and have meaningful conversation with us. All of them were smiling and happy to be there! I will never go to another store when I come thru this area. Prices are reasonable as well!
Store and restrooms were extremely clean and well taken care of.”

“Came here at 2:40 am and went inside and the worker was so nice! One of the most pleasant gas station experiences I've ever had. Great place to stop during a road trip.”

“Is it an Arco thing?! Just like the one located at Santa Nella, it is the cheapest gas station around the area. I mean, what a difference - I saw another not too far from here charging up to $0.60 more per gallon! How does that even work? It was the most crowded (reasonably) but easy to get in and out of. Keeping them in mind for my fueling needs on a NorCal/Socal run.”

“Open 24 hours. 12 gasoline pumps. Small and dated but clean restrooms. Friendly staff.

Conveniently located off I-5 at the north base of the grapevine. The driveway is large and can accommodate large RVs and trailers. Plenty of parking is available.

The store has all the standard snacks and refreshments one might need for their road trip. The coffee and drink bar was clean and well stocked.

Jack 'n The Box is next doors. Hours may vary.”

“I stopped by this gas station on my way home from Fremont. I needed to get some gas and since this gas station was right off the freeway, it was convenient for me. When I came, they had two pump station taped off so I had to go to another pump station.

I just put a little bit of gas to get me home. I paid with my credit card and selected yes for the receipt. The receipt didn't print, so I had to go inside to ask the cashier for it. He was nice to me and printed me out my receipt.”
