“Beautiful book store with a wonderful selection. The lady that we chatted with gave me so many suggestions of new books to read and I was so excited to find someone to share my love of Echo! We will be back before long for sure.”
“Telling all my friends about this store. The displays are beautiful, the staff personnel are so helpful, and the choices and quality of Bibles and gifts are wonderful.”
“Great selection of books while I was in Fresno, CA. Read 3 books while on this 9 day vacay while extensively touring Yosemite and the surrounding areas (1200 miles worth), taking tours, hanging at Bass Lake for the 4th of July, four-wheeling though the Sierra National Forest on a side by side . Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because on 113 degree day, I was planning on spending several hours inside but either one of the ACs was broken or they chose to keep it warmer so that people wouldn’t loiter too long.”
“We absolutely love Judging by the Cover book store, they are such a beautiful space in downtown Fresno. Always good to support local businesses who are also BadAss community members”
“This has been my go to place for several months now and I can truly say that this place is such an underrated gem. Everyone is so friendly and helpful, some of the kindest people ever. This literary oasis is always stocked with classics, old books, and so much more, I have never left empty handed in these last several months. Hart’s Haven has become one of my happy places.”
“Plenty of merch (not incredibly affordable, though). Upstairs location carries a variety of textbooks. Clean and well-maintained. The staff is very nice and helpful.”
“Expensive, but the candy and ramen options here are better than in the Cafe…For actual school supplies, I recommend buying online though. The prices are immense!! They’re realistically the best option for miles around though, so its nice I suppose to have it as an option if you forgot your pen, but genuinely… too expensive. The staff are very kind and helpful though, just like the Cafe, and they’ll help you find whatever you’re looking for. And the candy and college food *is* good. I’d pop in and look around.”
“This place is small but has all you need, from hats to shirts to supplies for your classes. Prices are fair, and if you're lucky to find your size on the clearance rack, those items have excellent prices. I'm definitely buying more Sunbird gear soon.”
“Fresno City has associate degree programs, certificate programs, and vocational programs. You can also take classes for personal or career enrichment. Accommodations are available for disabled students. There are clubs, groups, and activities. The Tutoring Center and library have extended hours. Instructors are knowledgeable in their fields. I earned an AS in Paralegal Studies and a Paralegal Certificate, taking legal secretary, business technology (computer), and communication courses. Many classes are hybrid or online. Others are in person. The school also has different types of counseling for planning your educational and career goals and health needs. The Ram Pantry is a food bank for current students. I made many friends and networking contacts at Fresno City and still remain active as an alumna with the Student Paralegal Association (SPA).”
“This store does an excellent job with its supplies and stock. I don't have kids of my own, but if I did, I'd buy their entire supply of test preparation and practice skills books in subjects of mathematics, language arts, and reading comprehension. The store has a vast supply of practice books, and I think it's good for preparation of the school demands that are being placed on kids these days.”
“I haven´t dropped into Book Nook in some time. What I can say is the fact that they are good at keeping the genre fiction tidy and easy to locate. They are keen on finding anything that is on the shelf. Keep on selling and reading.”
