“This is the best sandwich shop in Healdsburg. There’s a couple of other good options but this place takes the cake in my opinion. There are many hot and cold options on the menu or you can build your own. The breads are great and all of the ingredients are fresh and full of flavor. Plenty of drink and chip options and the staff is great. It’s off the beaten path but worth the trip out of downtown Healdsburg. Small parking lot but ample amount of free street parking.”

“Wow! I thought the complete Holiday Turkey dinner at Thanksgiving was great, so we ordered the complete Prime Rib dinner for Christmas. It was delicious! Just like at Thanksgiving, every individual dish was really delicious - there were none that were just average. I've gotten to the age where I've cooked holiday meals for decades, and have earned the right for someone to cook it for me. Hands down - Big John's is the place for all of our holiday meals going forward. The kitchen staff should be congratulated for the food they put out - thank you guys!”

“Love coming here during my lunch for their sandwiches and soups. Some of my favorite sandwiches are the tomato mozzarella and the grilled chicken pesto sandwich. I usually order over the phone and they have them ready by the promised time. They have a section near the deli, where the soups and containers located. You have to serve yourself and take it to the checkout line. It's a well organized store, it is always clean and they have a great variety of products.”

“Ordered a handful of carnitas & tri-tip burritos. Thee BEST. Burritos were filled with a generous portion of meat fillings, so half a burrito is a meal.Eligio & Sylvia were very kind and made the burritos to order, with your choice of added condiments, so they were fresh and hot. We visit Cloverdale only 2-3 per year visiting family, so this little deli was a super find after all years we have come to Sonoma County. Store is small, but has a produce center and meat counter.We definitely will return for some homemade menudo or birria on our next visit. Highly recommend you stop in and try their traditional fare.”
