Following the good reviews, I had Gilroy Automotive do the pre-sale inspection and they were incredibly helpful and patient to me in the process. They were easy to talk to and explained the rationale for why some things were more immediate versus others and the inspection itself was easy and thorough, as is the online system to review estimates and approve/decline work. I live a bit out in Monterey, but have three cars and had been looking for a good, honest, and reasonably priced mechanic. I plan to use them as my regular moving forward.”

“This was back in March 2025, but we had a wonderful experience. Tire shredded on the freeway and my daughter and her boyfriend were stuck 2 hours away. The wonderful workers here stayed past closing to fix all the tires for us after some issues with the tow, did so quickly and were amazingly priced. Wish it was closer to home so we could go more often. Highly recommend.”

I needed my truck fixed tonight. It was my brothers car before, but today it was mine. We clock 300+ hard miles daily, over the pacheco pass into the Castroville area. They’re my go to for all of my work and higher end vehicles. I knew I found a lifelong partnership when I blew the engine heading over the grade with product that needed to be delivered by Thursday. Hai arranged for the tow and already had the parts ordered from Ford same day. They are certified to work on all current vehicles including Lexus, Audi and Cadillac. Impressive work that’s usually three weeks out at any local dealership.”
“Premier Diesel fixed my fuel system air leak on an older pickup truck. In the process, a fuel leak developed in the engine compartment. They traced it to a defective component that they had used, and then they ordered a 2nd component, which was better, but still had a leak, and again defective. They kept at it until the issue was traced down and resolved. I can't ask for much better service than this.”

“Amazing mechanic shop I took my car in to get the headlights replaced and turns out the oil pan was leaking and it was time for an oil change Carlos did both and even fixed a cosmetic issue on the front right bumper. All that for a very fair price and done in a timely manner I'm definitely returning to this shop for future appointments”
