They even went out of their way to give me suggestions on more affordable places to neuter my dog since I haven't yet. I took my youngest to be seen as an emergency appointment regarding getting horrible cuts from grooming and they were able to help him quickly. Blue cross is the best vet ever to exist. Truly the gold standard of animal care. Thank you wonderful staff, you’re all amazing. As I will be moving, I will miss you all very much!

7/23/26 ANOTHER UPDATE:
I took my dog in for an emergency tech appointment and I am truly so grateful that they were able to see him so fast. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, Michael Raymond, thank you all the Blue Cross veterinarians. I am so grateful for all that you have done for my senior dog, he’s my whole world and you treat him with such kindness and love. It means everything to me. Thank you Blue Cross!

6/27/26 UPDATE:
I have taken my senior boy to Blue Cross regularly for several years now. I do everything I can to keep him healthy. But Saturday morning, he woke up looking very different. He wasn’t himself, and I could immediately tell something was very, very wrong. He didn’t even get excited when I showed him his favorite treats, which is something that has NEVER happened before. Then he started vomiting.

I called Blue Cross right away to explain what was happening, and I could hear over the phone how incredibly busy they were and Dr. Vasquez, the angel that she is, said she could still see him. I truly cannot thank Dr. Vasquez enough for her constant compassion and kindness.

My senior boy was severely dehydrated and extremely lethargic and needed a significant amount of fluids and immediate treatment. Once again, Dr. Vasquez saved my dog’s life.

On the way home, I couldn’t stop crying as I held my boy so tightly. I truly could have lost him that day if Blue Cross and Dr. Vasquez hadn’t been able to see him. Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart Blue Cross. I’ll never forget the kindness and care you showed us.

Older review: I have been going here several years and have recommended this vet to family as well! Dr. Vasquez has been seeing my two dogs and she is absolutely remarkable and so smart! She’s saved my eldest boy several times and noticed something that no other vet had noticed and now he is receiving life saving treatment everyday because of it. I trust her. She is a superhero!!

“This vet clinic totally saved me. We live in Truckee and had an appointment for a health certificate to be able to bring our dog to Costa Rica. The day before the appointment and 4 days before we were to travel we found out our Truckee vet didn't do the official version we needed for travel. After frantically calling several clinics I got a hold of Sierra Ranch and the front desk person put me on the calendar for the very next day. When I arrived everybody was super helpful and kind. Of course the USDA website that the examination goes into for final approval was down so I left the vet with them assuring me they'd keep trying. That night at 845 I got a call from the vet who had just managed to submit and make it work. I can't say enough about how thoughtful they were and how much they went above and beyond.”

“I took my dog here for a checkup, as well as for some vaccines. He had a small lump on his chest, and the doctor was able to take a sample and test it in house immediately and deliver results to me. The staff here is attentive, great with my somewhat reactive dog, and explained everything in a comprehensive manner. The first time visit was just under $100, which is on par with the market here. Tests and vaccines were very affordably priced, especially given the level of care. This vet office is also independently owned (not by a venture capital group like the rest of them) which is why I chose it. Large, nice, and clean facility. 100% recommend.”

“Great first impression. Took our new puppy in to establish care and had a great experience. Clean facility, friendly staff and the vet was so thorough and kind. Did not rush us, explained all our options and the price was reasonable. We have two older dogs and we will be transferring care as well.”

“I was finally able to get an appointment to have our precious lab spayed. The process isn’t very user friendly because they only take appointments on the first Monday of the month but once you get an appointment the staff are VERY friendly and helpful answering my questions promptly communicating through email. Drop off was at 0730 and our dog was the first lucky one under the knife and they took very good care of her. We picked her up at 1600 that same day and she was very alert and ready to go home. The Dr gave us almost a week’s worth of doggie tranquilizers to help keep this hyper dog calm with pain medication for 3 days. The Dr did a GREAT job because her wound healed perfectly and after 12 days her scar is just a little thin line that’s barely noticeable.
The amount spent on our pup’s spay was just as good if not better than care from a private veterinarian practice because 1) That’s what the Dr specializes in and 2) We’re older, retired and on a fixed income. The total bill was under $360 which included the surgery itself, pain medication, doggie tranquilizers, bio waste disposal, E collar and microchipping plus she also received a pedicure whereas her regular vet wanted over $1400 for just the surgery! What an UNBELIEVABLE SAVINGS! My wife and I highly recommend Community Spay and Neuter Clinic, Dr Clarkston and the nice staff! What a GREAT TEAM!”

“Super caring Dr. and staff. They all care for each patient with love. The Dr couldn't have done more for our senior dog with an eye ulcer. He kept wanting him to come back for rechecks until he got it completely healed.
I'm a retired vet tech and one of my places of work was at an animal eye clinic. So I know a little bit about eye ulcers and I wasn't sure he was going to be able to get it healed up, but he didn't give up and I'm so grateful. He also did everything that he could to keep the cost down for us. Again, we're so grateful. It's very obvious how much he and the staff care about each and every baby that comes to them.

“Dr Brick is absolutely the best rabbit vet around. I drive over an hour away to bring my bunny to her. She takes the time to explain things, she’s kind, honest, and so so smart with exotics. She has saved my bunny many times now when he likes to give me GI scares. She also surgically fixed an eye defect that was caused by an injury and infection before I got him.
