“I wanted to give a shout-out to Tina in the paint department for her knowledge on the products and quick customer service. I always come across an issue trying to get my fence stain as it apparently is no longer in their system in the normal spot. So it requires a little research. She knew exactly how to pull up the color and showed the other employee for the future. I have gone to several other stores and they can never figure it out. Thank you Tina for the excellent customer service!”

“I was the husband following my wife and her best friend as we went "shopping" at a nursery. Our friend said there was a restaurant there that we might consider. After shopping, which even interested me, we tried it. IT WAS GREAT! Our server was Addie who gave us several options (good ones) and recommended the porter (which they brew) when I inquired about their dark brews. Next Erin (the manager) appeared at my elbow informing me that the porter was not available (very popular). She recommend the stout as a dark beer which she liked too. She brought a can for my approval. It was good! Dinner was ordered and then served. I do not know if this was their regular menu or whether they change it depending upon the season but it was EXTREMELY good. Their boutique pizzas were spot on. The selection was limited but very intriguing combinations. We were able to order two which said "try ME" and one that was on all pizza places menu. They arrived and were beautiful (strange words for pizza). Of course I had to try the two unusual ones first. Gosh they were good. I hate hard crusts edges but I even ate my wife's because the crust was perfect. Overall the atmosphere was very festive with lighted trees and great spacing of the tables without eating with your neighbor. High Hand did a great job and the next trip between Seattle and Huntington Beach will include another stop there.”

“Jonathan (owner) was super nice and helpful. He showed me how to take care of my new office plant and he assured me that if I had any questions, to not hesitate to contact him. I had a blast in the shop, he educated me on the plants and showed me some very beautiful species he has growing. Great learning experience with great selection. Ill be back.”

“I had such a good experience with valley rock, that I had to write a review. The place that I normally go to didn’t have the material that I need, valley rock had the 1 1/2 inch drain rock, and it was a good price to. I had to do multiple loads, they were very quick. When it comes to buying landscape material, I’m used to dealing with people that just don’t seem to care, or even sometimes rude. The gals at Valley rock were super nice and responsive, thanks so much for an awesome experience.”

“Had better shopping experience here in contrast to the now-closed location by the Fountains. Though staff are busy, they take time to ask customers if they need help finding anything in the nursery. One of the staff provided more information about Evergreeens more than I can find on the internet. They also participate in giving away free Christmas Trees for military families during the holidays.”

“As my boyfriend and I were out on our anniversary trip we came across a bonsai vendor on the side of the road. We've always wanted one and were quick to pull the trigger on this 20 & 4 years old Juniper bonsai! After some research we started to doubt the health of the 20yr old. We knew we needed a professionals help. Did some more research and boy was I lucky to have came cross Dirty Locus and have contacted Ron. He is one of the few public Bonsai specialist in Sacramento. First off, his garden is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. He has dozens of different kinds of bonsais (indoor/outdoor). He was so kind the moment I called him up, and up to the moment I left his garden. Very eager to help & teach the way of bonsai growing. He was very insightful & thorough with every question I had. I was very skeptical of being able to care for this tree at first until I heard his reassuring words. He helped assess the problems it had, then shortly had me on my way to begin my own bonsai journey. I did pay for a 30min consultation then paid again for the supplies and work he did to re-pot the big one. He offers classes if you'd like to learn more which I thought was so cool. I am very thankful for his help!! If you are interested in starting your own journey this is the best place to start. No doubt about it. Or come take a tour of his garden!”

“What an absolutely delightful property. It is truly a sanctuary, so peaceful. There are two resident doggies that are such a treat and love making new friends. The owner is also the kindest person. The plants here are beautiful and priced reasonably and it is the most relaxing experience just getting to be there. The owner is so lucky.”

“First of all, this is a contractor store so I felt a bit apprehensive going in for the first time as I am just a DIY homeowner trying to fix my drip system. As soon as I walked in , Michael greeted me and made me feel right at home. He personally walked me thru my project and hand picked all the parts I needed himself! Later that day I had to go back for another part and Roberto provided me with the exact same level of service. It's clear that service is a big part of their store culture and they perform the lost art of customer service better than almost any other business I have encountered in the last year. Thanks guys for the great service and sorry Lowes and Home Depot, you lose!”

“First Time going to White Cap They had exactly what I was looking for , Customer Service was great, he asked me a couple questions walked me right over to the item , I didn't have to ask where it was. Definitely going back , I went to Home Depot and Lowes before going there, neither Home Depot, Lowes had Cement acid stain BUT WHITE CAP HAS A BIG SELECTION OF COLOR'S TO CHOOSE FROM .......”

“I walked into the El Dorado Hills Home Depot because I was working on a project involving tile. I was introduced to Frank in floor/tile department. He had a great sense of humor and an expert in flooring. I also was assisted by Angelique who checked me out at the register she was also very friendly and customer service driven. It's was actually nice to go to Home Depot and not feel lost in a maze but was met with friendly and helpful staff.”

“I enjoy the lower cost grocery shopping, the medicine, toiletries, and general goods are all much less expensive here. When I lived farther, I would spend $40 in gas to shop at Walmart, and I'd still save in the end over shopping at the grass valley grocery store. Worth the time and effort for sure. Now that I live close enough to shop there regularly, I find myself shopping there 2-3 times per week. The staff costs them a star, the regular guy at the self check at the store off Riley has a smart mouth and is rude to customers when he thinks they can't hear him. Guy needs to appreciate his job, and stop assuming every time the self check triggers that customers are lying thieves... "everyone says they scanned all the items, but I always find what they are stealing " he quipped... thinking I couldn't hear him. After they realized it was in fact not stealing, he said nothing to apologize. So I let him know my displeasure of being called a thief for no reason at all, but he couldn't look me in the eye, acknowledging his mistake or even act like he could hear me. He just pretended he couldn't hear me. Don't assume folks are stealing , and certainly don't do it in a smart @ss insulting manner... because you were wrong, and when you don't apologize or acknowledge that fact, you look like a real piece of work. Just don't open your mouth to comment before you know the facts”

“Went in Friday night 2/9 needing to replace a garbage disposal. Older gentleman in a mask working in plumbing took a look at what I had and guided me right to the proper disposal and accessories. Changed it out myself the next morning and saved $150.00. Didn’t have to wait for someone to come out. That guy needs a raise and is hopefully training the rest in plumbing.”

“Plenty of parking. Cashier saved me some money in sharing buying four HAVAC filters instead of just one cause you'd get 50% off! Appreciated that ! Had some help finding things. Restroom was clean. I'm sure that's hard to do sometimes when it's packed with people.”

“Rented a truck to pick up a ping pong table from the rental side of Home Depot. Fred was behind the counter. He was efficient, friendly and super funny. I left with a big ole smile on my face. The return was super easy and once again I was entertained by Fred. It was a good eye opener that they have SO much tools and other things to rent. A true do it yourself paradise. There's been other occasions where I've stopped in to purchase plants and my husbands list of stuff to complete his projects around the home. I can honestly say if you need something for your home this is the place to go. Plenty of parking, clean store and friendly employees.”
