I trust what they have to say because they have done their research and truly care about animals. My dogs and cat get the best high quality food and are so healthy. I had some issues with my Aussie’s paw and the advice they gave and products they recommended helped immediately. I also love being in there when other customers come in because they are great people. We are so lucky to have Scraps!

Instead they popped on a table had me just hold his head gently and trimmed his nails in about 5 minutes. He was happy and no torture. Kind friendly family oriented business for our extended fur babies.

The guy at the front desk was great and our groomer Savannah I believe her name was great. If I could critique one thing it’s that they trimmed the dog when I asked them specifically not to do anything except for a bathroom and blowout so I was a little bit bum that they went ahead and trimmed him anyway without my knowledge . Again, not a big deal. I just hate seeing my dog ball sack from the back now. I am also guessing that’s why the price was $140

996 McCourtney Rd A, Grass ValleyOver the weekend our dear elderly cat became very ill. We took him to an Auburn vet and they prescribed antibiotics. By Monday it was clear they were not working so I called the vet we used for years (Best Friends). The front desk told us we would have to drop him off, they didn't check with the Dr., just put up a wall. So we called Brighton Greens. At first they said there would be a $140 emergency charge and we were fine with that, but after checking they found a cancellation and got us in within two hours. After consulting with the vet we decided it was time to give our kitty relief. We were able to to be with him. It seems we may have found our new vet.

I also want to share a little appreciation for the Animal Hospital at Olympia Park Road. It may seem like an ordinary place, but for me it has become part of my recovery journey.
Within a short walk there’s Taco Bell when I need a quick bite, O’Reilly Auto Parts when my vehicle needs attention, our Animal Hospital when my four-legged friend needs help, and don’t forget Lamppost Pizza. There’s even a trash can stocked with dog waste bags a small kindness that makes it easier to care for our companions.
The beautiful trees surrounding the parking lot create a cool canopy, almost like a living museum, offering shade, peace, and a place to pause and breathe.
Most of all, I’m grateful for the fellowship around me. I’m surrounded by healers and people willing to help. All I have to do is ask. Even the local businesses have shown me kindness, despite having every right to tow my car with or without my dog inside.
These are a few of my favorite things that help bring me back to a soundness of mind. Recovery isn’t just found in meetings; sometimes it’s found in the places, people, and simple acts of kindness we often overlook.

996 McCourtney Rd A, Grass ValleySadly, I had to bring my one-year-old cat, Blu, in as a new patient since we are new to the area. The outcome was horrible news, and we ended up having to put him down due to his condition.
Throughout the appointment, everyone was extremely compassionate. They were able to get me in the same day, while at least seven other vets told me they were booked for the day. They treated my cat with so much care and love. The doctor called me and was very upfront and honest about his condition and what she thought I should do if she were in my shoes.
They were reasonably priced and were willing to work with me on some things. When I do get another animal, this will most definitely be the vet I choose moving forward.

10600 Bubbling Wells Road, Grass ValleyBefore taking our dog to Top Dog, his on-leash skills were severely lacking, to the point where it was a struggle to walk him anywhere where there might be other dogs. After just the first few sessions we started seeing a big improvement and our pup seemed relieved to have clear instructions of what was expected of him. We just started the second level class and the little dude is learning all kinds of awesome skills to the point where we now get compliments on his behavior when we're out and about. He really seems to enjoy the classes too. Lori is a true dog lover, perfect patience and training vibes, and super humane and ethical approach. Highly recommend Top Dog to anyone looking to invest in their pet's wellbeing and have some fun with them.

377 Amsel Way, Grass ValleyMy Benny boy has been going here ever since I got him from the shelter. He's a large strong tightly wound German Shepherd who has issues galore. Nathan and his crew are so patient and kind with him. They know he's a handful but treat him with kindness and respect. Last time we were leaving and one of the staff members were walking down the hall. My boy turned back and just had to go see him, tail wagging. That told me he's happy with the people around him even if the kennel isn't his favorite. I consider it boy scout camp, they yell and holler and play and sleep little but have a great time. I know he's safe and cared for.

Today, child size African Peanut, as say, child size $6.53 with tax! It had pumpkin, orange color curry, tomatoes, slices peanuts! Comes with two slices of bread, the iced water is free! There are also smoothy drinks, muffins, different breads! Organic and healthy, thank goodness unlike many if not all restaurants, they think one just automatic wants dreaded French fries, awful tasty sodas! This restaurant thank goodness not has any these that I just listed! Easily FIVE STARS! This Nevada County, if any in Placer County, that would be $6.45 with tax! Either way, the ten dollar cash was enough, yay ah yay!

The owner, Christine, was easy to converse with about all the details and I appreciate Cake Bakery not using any artificial dyes (real fruit to tint pink or blue) and keeping the cake less-sweet (per my request) by decorating with chantilly cream instead of buttercream. So happy with the ordering process, pick up, and of course how perfectly decorated and delicious the cake was. When we left we got a call take the onions and cilantro we're not given to us however we were in a time crunch and couldn't turn back. The owner took his own personal time bring out the missing items even with our place being about 40 minutes away on the ridge. Truly wonderful customer service. We cannot thank you enough.

She takes such care in making sure her pups are strong and healthy. Bunker is only 1.5 but he is healthy, playful, spunky, sweet as can be, and so handsome. 10/10 recommend reaching out to Shelby if you’re on the hunt for a cav!! (Also totally recommend this dog breed if you haven’t had one!)
