“Sadly, I had to bring my one-year-old cat, Blu, in as a new patient since we are new to the area. The outcome was horrible news, and we ended up having to put him down due to his condition.
Throughout the appointment, everyone was extremely compassionate. They were able to get me in the same day, while at least seven other vets told me they were booked for the day. They treated my cat with so much care and love. The doctor called me and was very upfront and honest about his condition and what she thought I should do if she were in my shoes.
They were reasonably priced and were willing to work with me on some things. When I do get another animal, this will most definitely be the vet I choose moving forward.”
“Day 1624. One Day at a Time. Steven, out-of-town guest from Lions Lake. Recovery continues to remind me that we only have to live one day at a time.
I also want to share a little appreciation for the Animal Hospital at Olympia Park Road. It may seem like an ordinary place, but for me it has become part of my recovery journey.
Within a short walk there’s Taco Bell when I need a quick bite, O’Reilly Auto Parts when my vehicle needs attention, our Animal Hospital when my four-legged friend needs help, and don’t forget Lamppost Pizza. There’s even a trash can stocked with dog waste bags a small kindness that makes it easier to care for our companions.
The beautiful trees surrounding the parking lot create a cool canopy, almost like a living museum, offering shade, peace, and a place to pause and breathe.
Most of all, I’m grateful for the fellowship around me. I’m surrounded by healers and people willing to help. All I have to do is ask. Even the local businesses have shown me kindness, despite having every right to tow my car with or without my dog inside.
These are a few of my favorite things that help bring me back to a soundness of mind. Recovery isn’t just found in meetings; sometimes it’s found in the places, people, and simple acts of kindness we often overlook.

“I’d like to thank Elaine for being an absolute professional when helping out with our two sheep. We are new to being livestock owners and she was a huge help for us. A friend referred us to her and we’re really happy that used her services . She came to our home with her two assistants and quickly helped out our sheep .
