“I had a severe flat tire on highway 880 and had to park in a dangerous location (narrow shoulder on the left side of the highway, with many cars passing by me very fast and close). All the services I called from Audi/GEICO estimated to arrive in 2hours... Zack arrive within 30min, saved me out of the danger location, got me home safely and helped me change to a donut tire. All on a busy Saturday evening. I’m really grateful for his excellent work and kindness.”

Nick from the word go was a consummate professional taking care of the estimate/comms with the insurance company and getting parts from the manufacturer.

I went to several places in Hayward and San Leandro to get estimates and other places made me feel like they were trying to milk me for every dollar. Except for Daniel at Performance Paint & Towing, Daniel was honest and reasonable with what needed to be done. I dropped my car off and 3 days later I got it back as if there was nothing ever there! Pros: Great customer service Instant and reasonable estimate Fast and quality work Highly recommend Cons: Does not accept credit cards”

“I noticed that my car was louder than before so I assumed that it was time to get a transmission fluid change since it's been long overdue. I called rainbow auto and Mario told me that he could take care of me the same day. After a quick test drive he diagnosed the issue right away and notified me that it wasn't my transmission, instead it was a broken ball bearing that was making that sound that had been haunting me for weeks.

He broke down the pricing in a clear and concise manner, ordered the part, and was very transparent about the issue. He also let me know that it wouldn't be dangerous to drive on while I waited for the part to arrive.

Since the job has been completed, my car has been running seamlessly and I'm very thankful that Rainbow auto center made an often stressful situation so easy. Will definitely come back for my next repair and would recommend them to anyone including family members.”

“I came to get some work done on my car I would say it was pricey but what did I expect if I wanted the job done right but only reason I gave 4 star Is because I needed to get more work done on my car and they told me to get my own parts then come in ? I came to the shop so I won't have to deal with any of that now I have to look around for another auto shop I guess they don't want my business I would love to return for honest work but don't know anything about finding parts thanks again .”

“I got stuck in a ditch up in North Hayward and called these guys for help. They were great! The driver arrived promptly and skillfully pulled my car out without any damage. He was very reassuring and professional.

The only downside was that the initial call took a bit longer to go through due to high call volume I guess. But given the great service, I would surely use them again if needed.”

“They came in less than half the eta predicted by the insurance company. I was blessed because there was also a training taking place so the trainee made things quicker because 2 pair of hands are always better than one. They were very pleasant, kind, personable and such gentleman. They communicated with me throughout the whole process which was pretty educational and enjoyable. They answered all my questions. I felt very secure with them towing my vehicle. I wish this type of smooth experience for anyone in need of a tow. They were also considerate and communicative to the nearby drivers and people that were parking close by. They drove safely. They were communicative with the dealership as well. I dislike that I did not remember their names. All of this happened during rush hour traffic as well. Not sure which location they came from but hopefully this is a reflection of the each location.”

“Very surprised at the negative reviews. My truck was in an accident & CHP used Jack James tow on 09/04 around 6 in the morning to have my truck removed. My mom came with me 09/05 (yesterday) to get my truck out. The lady at their office who helped me was very kind and explained everything to me. I felt comfortable with the charge, as I have never been in a situation like this & have heard horror stories about needing to pay $700+ for a tow & one night of storage. She gave me a printout that clearly listed the charges & even included directions for how to get to the actual tow yard. When I got there, I was absolutely heartbroken to see the damages on my baby, but Alex was respectful when letting me onto the lot to remove my belongings from my truck. It needed to be towed out so we called our insurance provider, who sent the wrong truck. When the driver arrived he said he did not have the proper equipment to tow my non-operable vehicle. We struggled with our insurance for about 4 hours trying to get the right tow truck to do the job, & we wanted to make sure my truck was off the lot before their lot closed at 5pm. Alex saw us waiting a while for our truck & came out a few different times to let us know if we needed anything he was there, we could just knock on the gate, he'll be around, etc & then closer to 5pm he let us know that he'd be leaving soon but that there are other options if the tow truck comes after 5pm, we could call their office again & they could send someone else to open the gate so we could get my truck out. I thought this was very kind of him/the company to offer, I had assumed we would just be stuck accruing more fees if my truck was not out by 5pm. After several hours of going back & forth with our insurance who made this whole situation a nightmare, we decided to just call Jack James' office again & see if we could pay them out of pocket to tow my truck to a repair shop since my insurance company was far from helpful. Without any hesitation, Jeanine accepted. I am not sure if Jeanine was the same woman who helped me when I went to pay my bill at their office (who was also very nice), but she was extremely kind over the phone & sounded genuinely eager to get this situation resolved. I read a lot of reviews about items being stolen out of peoples' vehicles, rude attitude from the women at the office, and just overall "horrible service." I left a lot of valuable things in my car, & I was nervous that stuff would be missing, but to my relief absolutely NOTHING was removed from my truck. The ladies at the office were pleasant in person & so helpful over the phone. During the most saddening & frustrating time while I was dealing with the loss of my truck, Jack James really made the situation bearable. Would certainly recommend them, & they will be the first people I call if I ever find myself in need of a tow again.Service: Car towing”

“Amazing people. I was waiting from 9 pm to 3am for my insurance tow truck to come. Never came. I waited 6 hours in an empty parking lot feeling frustrated, cold and uncomfortable ... they're the 3rd tow truck company I called. I'm I happy did. The service was above and beyond. Katie answered the call first - I was on the phone with her for 14 mins, shortly after Jake and Sunny came to tow my car. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and felt safe. Sunny & Jake took the time to ensure my car is properly placed on the driveway as there is another car on the right side. I trust this company and will def call them if I ever need to be towed. This is my first time getting my car towed. I'm grateful that it's with people who cares. Thanks y'all! Life Saver.”

“Sucks that the car got towed, but on the other hand the staff was nice and calm. The reason why I say this is that other people that were there got frustrated and started talking loudly to the staff. But in my opinion they handled the customers really well so I won't dock them in my star rating just because my car got towed but I did give them a rating as a business. I gave them the rating because I have had previous experiences with other tow companies that either damage the vehicle with scratches or have rude unprofessional condescending staff at the front office When trying to claim a vehicle.”
