“This was a car buying experience like I've never had before. I found the 2012 BMW 335i with manual transmission, sport package, RWD, and 4 doors here. I was looking for a long time.
I contacted them through autotrader.com or cargurus.com and Zack got in touch almost immediately. He answered a lot of questions I had. I answered a lot his about my trade-in, too.
I live in San Diego. After is been taking with Zach for days, I lined up a test drive on a Saturday morning. He told me there was a local person very interested, but that he'd hold it for me so i could at least drive it. The evening before the test drive, Zach told me to cancel the drive up. His mechanic was over it once more before I drove it and found the alternator needed to be replaced. I was upset i couldn't see it, but very relieved that they were replacing it themselves before I took ownership. My you, we'd already worked out specifics of price, trade-in value, financing, money down, everything.
So I got there to do the test drive and few days later and I took a short test drive and all seemed ok. We did the paperwork and I drove it one block down and stopped in a parking lot to get my phone synced and all, and the car stayed misfiring, shaking and stalled. I restarted it and the same happened again. I got it to limp back to their lot and Vic (the mechanic) started troubleshooting. He had to take it to a partner's garage with the right equipment. Not long later, he walked me around the corner to the other shop where they had reset the ECU and she was ready to drive.
I immediately drove her all the way to San Diego in traffic and had zero problems. Cars been perfect since.
Zach was very communicative, honest and helpful. His partner (i can't remember his name, sorry) was great and even bought me lunch while I waited for the ECU to be reprogrammed. Great chicken at the Mediterranean place next door, BTW.
I feel like these guys were really trying to put the best car on the road, no matter who was about to drive it away. I'm glad I found my unicorn here and, as unconventional (maybe some would say inconvenient or chaotic) as this experience was, I really feel like I was treated with the utmost respect and honesty. I cannot recommend these guys enough times. 5 stars, 10/10.”
