“I thought this was a wonderful experience. We took our 4 and 8 year old boys to see Home Alone just before Christmas and it was a hit! Super reasonable price (half what the boogie theatre’s are which is a waste on this age), comfy seats (was pleasantly surprised by the Adirondack chairs), and the 180 degree view of downtown SD is fun too! They have snacks, drinks, adult bevvies, and more for purchase. Putting on the headsets for the audio made me giggle feeling like we were in a silent disco. Bring a blanket for a warm cozy fall/winter month experience! Parking is simple, get there a few minutes before to claim your spot. And the comp parking! Don’t hesitate to go.”

“The Shout! House is a San Diego classic. It is, in many cases, the last place you go to before the night comes to an end. But definitely a good one. It is crowded, packed even, but the show makes up for that. Every customer is thoroughly checked and IDed before entering - which is a plus in my book. You realise quite quickly why it is called SHOUT! - because it is LOUD! - if you are looking for a place where you can whisper sweet nothings into your partners ear - this is not the place for you. But if you like music, brilliant and creative artists and generally like having a good time - go visit the Shout! You can request songs from the artists, engage in the ensuing piano battles or even perform on stage - if asked. The Shout! House is one of those places, where memories are made.”

“This venue is breathtaking! The views from every single angle are incomparable.
My first time at the Skybox was in November 2018 for my besties wedding. I was a bridesmaid.
She and her now husband looked at several other venues but when they found this one they were obviously sold. It wasn’t just the views, the skybox has a plethora of vendors and caterers already familiar with their space. They met with caterers and florists and were able to make their selections. The tables and chairs were handled by the venue which made that easier.
They chose a sunset ceremony which was absolutely beautiful! Standing there supporting my friends in their nuptials with the sights and sounds was pretty euphoric. (Note: you are very high up so it can be extremely windy and chilly. Come prepared.)
The on-site event planners also part of the venue were excellent and on-point. They kept us on time and prepared for each stage of the ceremony and reception. They were there but not in the way and helpful when we needed. It was perfect!
The wedding party was escorted to a green room after the ceremony to wait for the venue to be changed over for the reception and for introductions. They brought us snacks and water or other libations while we waited. Once the bride and groom were announced the food service began. They chose multiple stations of things so guests could get what they wanted. That’s always my preference too as a person who likes to graze.
The food and dessert (churros and a sundae bar…the couple didn’t want an overpriced cake that would barely get eaten) were delicious.
The entire evening was an absolute dream! Their wedding is still the talk of our friend group.

They were professional, provided a quote right away and were able to set up and pick up for us at a lower rate than anyone else.The communication throughout was great and the rep on site was super nice. they delivered, set up and picked up and our event went of without a hitch and our pipe and drape looked perfect. “Had the best time on the 3 hour whale watching tour ! The narrator/naturalist was absolutely amazing! She shared lots of fun facts and was very friendly. She kept an eye out on the water and let us know when there was wildlife nearby ! Such a wonderful ride! We did not see any whales , but lots of dolphins and sea lions . They gave us a rain check ticket even though it was not necessary as The trip was still wonderful and more than worth it . They had a full stocked bar with snacks and treats. I was able to grab a hot coffee and thankfully Dramamine!! The bartender was friendly . The staff was all very helpful even checking on guests to make sure they were ok when the boat got rocky.

“This review is long overdue. Cris and her team at the SD Wine & Culinary Center helped us kick off our wedding November 2024 weekend by hosting our Sangeet for our Indian hybrid wedding. Cris was AMAZING to work with. From the very start, she understood many of the cultural aspects we were trying to capture and worked with myself, my now wife, and mother tirelessly for months to get everything absolutely perfect. And yet we were making our event unique with a focus on speeches, and Cris adjusted everything accordingly to fit our vision.

In the end, our guests were blown away by the space, ambiance, and the food. And during the event, Cris and the staff were the most attentive team we had all weekend.

“First time staying at Holiday Inn since the Late/Early 2000's. Holiday Inn has definitely turned itself around from the complimentary breakfast, to how clean the rooms are. Amenities in the room have definitely come a long way with the microwave, fridge and bedding. The pillows and bedding are high quality and very cool for hot nights. Joe and Tiffany along with the morning staff are amazing I highly recommend everyone come check out The Holiday Inn off E st in Chula Vista CA.

“My family held a reunion reception and dinner for 105 people at the Assembly Hall in July 2023. I can't say enough about how great the facility was and how wonderful Jody was in accommodating our needs. The location is absolutely gorgeous and has so much character. We could've held our event at a hotel meeting room or a restaurant, but the Assembly Hall was affordable and will be remembered as the perfect place. We had dance, piano, and musical performances on their stage, and used the projector and screen for several slide presentations. The lighting and sound systems were top of the line for this type of facility, and it was very special to be able to have the facility to ourselves instead of sharing a partitioned hotel ballroom with other parties.
