“I fell in love with this hotel because the cottages has everything you might need. It has a kitchen with stove refrigerator and dishwasher. All the plates, silverware and pots and pans. It's clean and quiet. I will most definitely come back again. Also when you stay here you are a block away from the antique stores. Love it❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“Nice place w a nice cozy feel about it. Very comfortable but if you have bad allergies to cats you may not want to stay here there are a lot of Ferrell cats but they aren’t allowed inside of the housing but they all do roam freely around the building and they lounge on the furnishings outside”

“As part of a summer staycation to Calaveras County, I stayed two nights at the Best Western Cedar Inn & Suites. The motel is conveniently located along Highway 49 within walking distance of restaurants, fast-food establishments and retail centers. Check-in was efficient and welcoming. My room featuring a king-sized bed was clean and well-appointed with plenty of towels and room supplies. The wifi reception worked great. I took advantage of the complementary breakfast, which featured the standard hot and cold options. I'll definitely consider a repeat stay the next time I visit the area.”

“We loved our stay in room 200—spacious, nearly two-bedroom setup (only 1 bed was enclosed) with good privacy. 1 bathroom accessible between the two rooms. Breakfast waffles were fantastic, and the fast WiFi (93 Mbps in room, 137down/73 up by pool) was a bonus. The hotel was clean, with ample parking, and the town felt safe.”

“This past weekend our friends and family booked 9 rooms for our wedding. I also reserved a suite with 2 rooms for my DJ and his mother. For starters reserved rooms were erased from the books and manager Dani had to come to the rescue on Friday. This first night, televisions did not work in 2 rooms. The next morning I showed up to pay for the suite I reserved. Surprise IT, amongst several other reservations had been erased. The guy at the counter played the I don't understand English card so I asked for Dani. He walked away yelling for Dani who was across the way putting out fires from the night before. She was dealing with a service tech and another gentleman when this counter guy started yelling at her and even physically pushed her. He told her to deal with me. I was soon informed the reservation I made a month in advance and confirmed the day before had been given away. Dani said someone erased the book. The counter guy, whom I assume is one of the owners had a oh well attitude and offered to put a roll away in a basic room. Not satisfactory, after a not so nice conversation I was given 2 rooms for the price of 1. To add insult to injury he attempted to over the charge me $20. To summarize the inadequate performance of this establishment: 9 rooms of which 2 more had to be compensated bringing the total to 11. 5 rooms had NO television. 2 rooms had NO HEAT. I will submit one positive note, Dani did make an effort to overcome the overwhelming chaos. She passed me a handwritten note apologizing for the mishap and said she was resigning the next day. I HOPE she did. This place makes our community LOOK BAD!!!”

“Great place for a short getaway in the gold country.

Noteworthy details: Short driving distance to historic mining towns and forested activity areas. A great location for a group destination to meet up with friends. Relax by the pool while you plan exciting trips locally. The office staff are friendly and can give good suggestions on things to do in the area.”

“Have had the pleasure on multiple trips to Gold Country. Exceeds my expectations.

Noteworthy details: Groundskeeper noises spoiled the solitude of an early Sunday morning 10/27. Consider contracting the service for a weekday.”
