“This might be the most expensive and overpriced Goodwill that I’ve ever walked into

Now that I got that out, let me tell you little bit about it. It’s a super small Goodwill and it’s located in downtown La Jolla. There’s not a ton of clothes, but there were a lot of people for how small the location is. I was kind of surprised about that.

I couldn’t find anything that was my size that I wanted, but I didn’t find two Patagonia items that I thought were extremely overpriced for a Goodwill. One was a men’s shirt that they were asking 2999 for and another was a girls pullover fleece that they were asking $39 for I just can’t believe that someone donated those and they’re charging that price on those items”

“No other Thrift like it! The most fabulous things on earth to wear are only found here for a fraction of the cost of new anywhere else, if you can even find such wonderful things anywhere else?. Debbra has magical skills in finding the most beautiful and unique things few would even know were available on the market. She perpetually presents new things to me when I visit, and very few times I didn't buy them because she knows what I want.. I am complimented daily on my unique wears. Your foolish to shop elsewhere. Darrell is awesome too. Located in the heart of our unique area of San Diego called Hillcrest Darrell's Modern Thrift Store is like the Cherry on Top of our Rainbow Layered Cake ???”

“Great place can find some grails here for sure and at amazing prices like amazing if you go to Buffalo exchange down the street you will be paying 13 dollars more for the same shirt. But definitely a lot of stuff you have to look through before you find the heat but if you look hard enough you can find some awesome pieces.

(Im mostly interested in clothes and fashion so in this review im talking about their clothing selection idk about furniture and other stuff but it also seems very good)”

“G'mach aka "The Jewish Gift Closet" is such a wonderful place.. The volunteers are so helpful in helping you with what you need and both Myrice and Helene are such beautiful persons! they care about you as if they've known you your their whole life and make sure you are felt welcomed and never turn you away for anything.. I've been able to find clothing for my growing daughter and the best part is I can always bring back what didn't fit and it's been a great place to also bring my donation items.. they take anything from Men/Women clothing, shoes, accessories Baby/Kids clothes, toys, crib, maternity Books, new toiletries, houseware and more!! It's great to have a place like this to help the Jewish community”

“My niece wanted to thrift and chose Team Amvets as our destination! They have an array of clothing, furniture, home goods, and more. I walked away with. 99 green pants, and blue docker pants for $4.99. The prices were extremely reasonable, and I loved that everything was color coordinated...only downfall is that it wasn't in order of sizes. Otherwise we had fun thrifting! We weren't able to score a stall in the parking lot out front, so we had to settle on metered parking in front of the building. Happy Journeys ✌️”

“This is a really cool resale/thrift shop. They have a great variety of unique items. From clothes to plant to music item it covers a lot of stuff. At night they turn it into a live music venue. All types of original music in the best part of OB! The owners and staff are really nice and show the best part of the "chill" of OB. This pic is of Amanda Fagan and her band.”

“I love that this is in the neighborhood and that they have a furniture and home selection. My neighbor has donated a ton of household items and jewelry as she is down sizing. I have donated a lot of clothing and many coats just sitting in the closet. Time to release the old and keep what you actually need and use. It’s nice that they have a donation area on the back alley. They are the closest for me to donate.”

“I see some negative reviews here about the prices. That wasn't my experience at all. I got a brand new shirt and a very gently used coat for $30 total. Needed something cheap and quick for one day for a wedding. I'll donate it right back before I leave town..”

“The most lovely ladies working here! I was visiting from New York and popped in and was really impressed by their collection of vintage jewelry! I may have bought half the collection. They also have a nice selection of blazers and sweaters as well as home decor. Everything is so organized and clean! They showed me the back room where processing and cleaning takes place and it is very meticulous with a lot of work and love poured into what they do. Will definitely be back!”

“Lots of great small decor as well as clothing and some furniture items to decorate your home! Bought a keurig pod holder, a vase, and trinket for 4.99 or less each. Friendly staff too”

“Clean, well organized Goodwill with a nice layout. The items here are in better condition than I normally see in a Goodwill. There's also a decent selection of movies and video games, too. If I didn't know any better, I'd think this was a Marshall's rather than a Goodwill!”

“We've been going here sporadically over a decade. They have really good options for thrifting, for all ages and sizes. The operating hours vary but it's definitely worth looking into.”

“This is a small thrift store in the heart of Del Mar with volunteers who are friendly and customer-focused. It's well organized. Selections are limited, but I always seem to find something when I visit. Yesterday, it was a festive martini glass for $2 to replace one that broke a few years ago that was part of a set. Parking is in the Church lot, so make sure to get a 1-hour permit from one of the volunteers. There's a 20% discount on Tuesdays for Seniors 55+ and Military.”

“Great staff!!! Selection is as good as what people donate, so donate! Got a $5 off coupon since I had some stuff to donate, and found a $50 pair of jeans for $4 and in great shape. Do the math!”

“Highly recommended!
Extremely friendly staffs, clean, organized, fairly priced thrift store.
Sound brands could be found here. They put all brands out from the donations. I even got a Lululemon! Such a surprise!
Best thrift store experience. Every staff welcomes us with smiling faces, offers help. Dana who helped us while checked out, she is pretty efficient and smart.
Thanks Kim who manages the store so well! Kim is always on the floor to engage with customers, ensure the operation running smoothly. We would return to this shop.”

“Decent size Goodwill, with by far the best music. as it often goes at Goodwill sometimes the pricing doesn't make sense but all in all they have a decent selection and every now and then, a gem. They have some furniture, bedding, and lots of kitchenware.”

“Great brands and styles. Authentic vintage. Great prices too! I got a vintage hollister skirt for $4 and they have so many other great vintage brands. Small shop but still left with 4 things. Almost 5.”

“I showed up with my buffalo to trade in but was quickly set straight on the purpose of the store. As it turns out my buffalo and I left with a snappy matching outfit.

Seriously....Great Staff....Great store. 5 Stars!!!”

“Never thought I’d be reviewing a Goodwill store but I am. This place rocks. Good location and easy drop-off for large items (like a desk) and a big store. Plus there’s the added double bonus of nice people who are also doing good for the community. Bless you guys & gals!”

“Emily was wonderful and made us feel welcome. The manager (didn't catch her name because she barely acknowledged us and just kept asking seemingly scripted questions as if pretending to be a human being and then not actually listening to the answers) took over in the middle of Emily taking care of us and barked orders at the other employees, making us and other customers feel uncomfortable. She was extremely rude and made us feel d*** and like we were inconveniencing her. Sorry, Emily, that you have to work with such a negative Nancy! You are a gem, however!! Thank you for your patience and compassion!”
