“We had our wedding at Franciscan Gardens on October 23rd, 2025, and I could not imagine a more perfect venue! This place is truly a hidden gem in San Juan Capistrano. It is so green and lush that our wedding colors popped in the most beautiful way. I kept my décor very simple, but with the pergola, the fountains, and the natural beauty of the garden, everything looked magical and elegant without needing much at all.

The bridal suite was wonderful. It stocked with water, a mini fridge, and plenty of space. We had a large bridal party, seven on each side (14 total), and we all fit comfortably. It was such a sweet setup for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready.

The flow of the venue was seamless. Transitioning guests from the courtyard ceremony to the indoor cocktail area and then back outside for the reception was smooth and made the night feel so easy and enjoyable for everyone.

And the staff, just incredible. They checked on us throughout the day, made sure we had drinks, and were so kind and attentive. Their hospitality made us feel so cared for.

Franciscan Gardens is romantic, elegant, and truly breathtaking. If you’re looking for a venue that feels intimate, lush, and timeless, this is the place. Highly recommend.”

“This seems like a newer property that has been kept in good repair since new. Everything in the room worked exactly as it should, and the attendant, Rosario, was clearly proud of her work, as this room was spotless when I checked in and everything worked as it should. Even the clock was set to the correct time, and I can’t remember how many times I’ve walked into a hotel room to find the clock was off by hours. I’d stay here again without hesitation!”

“A beautiful yacht club that seems likes it's stood the test of time. You have a great view of the ocean here and membership is required to be able to use the facilities. The club and its facilities itself is a 5 star. No question as the decor and the feeling you get inside is spectacular. Their restaurant has a great view upstairs on the second story and they are very dog friendly which is amazing. Their menu is very simple and straight forward and they mostly have a mix of Mexican, American and Italian food. I had ordered their burger with a mix of onion rings and regular fries, the hummus and their flat bread with fig and burrata. They also have a selection of drinks and a daily drink specials. As far as the taste of the food... the burger was just good, it didn't leave a good or a bad impression, but the hummus had very little flavor and tasted very bland. The fig and burrata flat bread had more of a fig drizzle instead of actual figs and the flatbread had the texture of a cardboard. Now the food from what I have tasted was 2 stars. But again the place is so beautiful you won't care what you eat. I was invited here by a member and it's a great place to hang out and enjoy the view.”

“I don't even know how to begin about how much I LOVE Marbella. We got married here in November and it was the most perfect venue from beginning to end. The day we looked at the space with Kaile Watters we knew it was perfect. Every single thing leading up to the wedding was so easy, elegant, and well taken care of. Kaile is a dream come true to work with, truly. The whole staff went above and beyond to create such a beautiful and memorable wedding day for us. I could go on and on. The fact that nearly everything is taken care of in house made things SO easy for us: picking all the linens, chairs, designing the layout, coming up with signature drinks, etc. The menu tasting was such an incredible experience and people still can't stop talking about how delicious the food was day of! Marbella has so much natural beauty and the space could really be utilized in so many ways to create what you're looking for in a venue. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner outside and moved the dancing indoors so we could keep the party going through midnight. If you're thinking about this location for your wedding, I promise, it's the right choice! Thank you to every single person who made this day memorable for us. “I cannot recommend this venue enough! We celebrated our wedding here in September of 2024 and thanks to Angela and her team, the day went on without a hitch. Not only is the space itself just so stunning and charming, you get access to a decor room and so many beautiful photo opportunities across the grounds. It is extremely hard to find an affordable wedding venue with a guest count of 200 but by allowing us to bring in outside catering and alcohol we were able to have our dream wedding at a gorgeous venue for a fraction of the cost elsewhere! There are no hidden fees, you get so many rooms to work with and get ready in the day of, and I got to bring in all of our supplies prior to the wedding which relieved SO much stress. We used their bartenders and they were so fun and people were raving about the drinks all night. Angela worked with me every step of the way and we booked her as our day of coordinator and it was the best decision we could have made! You can tell she is so passionate about what she does and truly cares about her customers and wants them to have the most special day. She seriously thought of everything and worked so hard to make our vision come to life. I knew I didn’t have to worry about a thing that day because her and her team would have it handled. They were so accommodating and kind and handled our somewhat rowdy crowd with grace and we really had the best time. All of our guests could not stop raving about this place. Do yourself a favor and book this venue and be sure to count your blessings when it comes to working with Angela!”

“Went for bingo night it was a great time. We had never been there before everybody was extremely outgoing and nice! Also had never played bingo at an official bingo hall everyone was more then willing to help explain the rules and diffrent games. I definitely recommend!But get there early because it was packed.”

“This is a quality hotel that offers great service. The most important quality was customer service at all levels of the organization. This includes the front desk, bellman, valet, room service, security, all servers in each and every restaurant we visited during our stay were great. The food was delicious! This hotel is my favorite and I have travelled a lot in my career. This will be a place I will go to annually.

Nearby activities: The town of Dana Point gives you access to the harbor and unique shopping. You can take a trolley to Laguna Beach and enjoy boutique shops and art galleries.

Walkability: You never have to leave the hotel. Everything is floor away. Excursions to the beach with all the supplies you need. Food and drink are always available.

“My wife and I recently had our wedding at this venue. The whole property is absolutely gorgeous to say the least. It made for such beautiful ceremony and photoshoot scenery. All of our guests would agree! The only issue we had is that the venue rules were a bit too strict and created many obstacles for us to make the perfect wedding. It did all work out in the end, but there were in my opinion many extra and senseless challenges along the way. The day of went very smoothly however and therefore, I am left with a mostly positive total experience.”

Nestled at the bottom of the hills in Laguna, the venue has great light at any point of the day. It is nice that both the bride and the groom have their own getting ready areas, and both spots photograph well for that portion of the day. “Our son was married here. This is a beautiful venue in what appears to be a former zoo. Some of the enclosures are still there. Spanish style nestled in the oaks. The staff was great, food was good, good full service bars. Great place for a wedding. Outside in August was a little hot.”

I'm 70 years old and raced with my grandson - you're people couldn't have been more helpful with me getting fitted and in and out of the cars.”
