“This seems like a newer property that has been kept in good repair since new. Everything in the room worked exactly as it should, and the attendant, Rosario, was clearly proud of her work, as this room was spotless when I checked in and everything worked as it should. Even the clock was set to the correct time, and I can’t remember how many times I’ve walked into a hotel room to find the clock was off by hours. I’d stay here again without hesitation!”

“★★★½ Solid Comfort, Room for Improvement

My recent stay at the TownePlace Suites in Irvine Lake Forest was generally pleasant, though not without a few drawbacks. The hotel delivers on most of the Marriott brand promises, offering clean, spacious suites and friendly service.

The Good:
The rooms are well-maintained and provide ample space to spread out, with the living area nicely separated from the sleeping space. The staff was attentive and professional, handling check-in efficiently. The location proved convenient for my business in the area, with easy access to major roads and nearby amenities. The complimentary Wi-Fi performed reliably throughout my stay.

The Average:
While the hotel is clean, some of the furnishings and fixtures are starting to show their age. Nothing was broken or dysfunctional, but you can tell this isn't the newest property in the Marriott portfolio. Parking was adequate but filled up quickly during peak hours.

Needs Improvement:
The complimentary breakfast, while convenient, was disappointing from a nutritional standpoint. The offerings leaned heavily on processed carbs and sugary options. I would have appreciated more fresh fruit options, plain yogurt (not the sugar-loaded varieties), and perhaps some more protein-focused choices beyond the standard powdered eggs. For a health-conscious traveler, the breakfast spread left much to be desired.

Bottom Line:
If you're looking for a reliable, comfortable stay in Irvine Lake Forest without breaking the bank, TownePlace Suites delivers adequately. Just don't expect to be wowed, and consider grabbing breakfast elsewhere if you prioritize healthy eating.”

“The wellness suite room we got was very noisy as it was facing probably the main road, so sleep was disruptive. If I had known, I would have requested a different one. Otherwise the location is great for the hotel and lots of places to eat outside the hotel at walking distance. The Irvine spectrum center is within few minutes drive which is a popular spot if you want to do shopping.”

“Wow. I was blown away at the professionalism and customer service! From start to finish of our stay- it was amazing. Alex at the bar was super special and saved me from losing my credit card! They made my son and his finance feel so special on their wedding day. Rooms were clean and nice. Hotel was secure and safe. Overall just an excellent stay!”

“My family of 3 stayed here on our road trip to CA.This is the BEST Hilton Hotel room we’ve stayed in thus far, perfect stay with Homewood. I’m the type that cleans and wipes down the room before settling in. Clorox wipes were clean and no messy surprises. We loved this Hotel and will be staying here again. The staff is friendly, great breakfast, and very clean. The only thing I would change is more washer and dryers for guests as we stayed a full week but thats not enough to say the stay was less than perfect!! The hotel is located near Laguna Beach with a breath taking drive on the shoreline. We stopped and explored one of the beaches on the Laguna rolling hills. We drove from TX and forgot a few items, my sister UPS the items to the hotel but they were unfortunately delayed and we left the hotel before the package arrived. The hotel kindly returned the package to UPS to have it shipped back home. Thank you for a memorable stay!!”

“We stayed here for a soccer tournament at Great Park. With how much you can do on the Hilton app things are pretty seamless and if you don't want to interact with the staff you don't have to. When we came in the check in line was really long, so I greatly appreciated having the digital key. We did encounter that the power in the room was enabled by a card holder, so we did get a physical room key for that reason. All we did was sleep there, so I can't speak to a lot of the amenities. The TV didn't happen to have the channel we wanted to watch NWSL (ion), but I was able to setup my streaming stick and that solved our problem. The hotel seemed newly done and was clean. We had no problems with our room. The breakfast on the weekend started at 7AM which was too late for our early morning soccer game, so I went out to Krazy Eddies for bagel sandwiches.”

“Customer service is so important nowadays and Rita at the front desk was amazing. We need more human kindness in the world and because of Rita I would definitely stay here next time in the area.”

“I don't know if I've ever left a review for a hotel, but I initially totally blew this place off since it was a Comfort Inn and was looking at much fancier hotels but after looking at their reviews which usually had a few recent bad ones about how clean they were, I was looking at the Comfort Inn reviews and they were uniformly good and the bad ones were not about the quality but something about their experience. I decided to go with the comfort inn and got a King Suite which was a but over $100/night and the room is very nice and quite large. Lots of free parking and a good location. The A/C is one of the box units that is not quiet but that is my only complaint. I was looking at hotels for double this price and totally wrote this off for being a Comfort Inn, but it's actually very nice. The bed is more comfortable than the majority (if not all) hotels ive been to, and is pretty squishy by hotel standards. The room is also pretty modern, nothing is beat up, nice bathroom, balcony, etc. I travel to Irvine fairly often for business and this will be my new default option.”

“Thank you to the manager Rene, all of the front desk, and housekeeping for all you do to make my extended stay here comfortable. They go over and beyond to help my wife while I recover from surgery. We appreciate them all.”

“This was my home for nearly 4 months back in 2020 when we lost everything to COVID, so glad and happy to say I am doing much better in life and finally have the opportunity to say thank you to this amazing property that treated me like family. Nearly 6 years later and I am still thankful for their welcoming staff member who’s name I forgot he was amazing.”
