“This place has everything your looking for and then some. With friendly employees that are knowledgeable and there to help. I walked in looking for a hose thingy ( no I don't know the proper term for it LOL) but the point here is that I needed it and they had it. Not only that they had the pool filter I've been putting off purchasing elsewhere because of the damn price. Purchased it here for almost 50% less than it would have cost me to get it online plus shipping. Not only that I discovered they have a variety of tools and pool supplies there that I normally pay instacart to deliver to my house from locations like Lowe's and Leslie's.
This store is incredibly organized, clean and well stocked can't go wrong with them.”
“My local Ace in the mountains has had some limitations since new ownership so I went to Bakersfield. It was the reviews that inspired us to go to this location. Helpful, friendly, went the extra mile, just amazing. Store was welcoming, stocked and easy to navigate. Well worth the 45 minute drive. I will return here again. Definitely 5 stars!!!”
“Back in the mid 80s when I was in high school 501 Levi jeans were very popular and Miller's Outpost in the Valley Plaza Mall was the place everybody went to get them. They were expensive there but I had discovered that Floyd's sold the same jeans for quite a bit cheaper. These jeans had been around since 1873 and were nothing new and Miller's Outpost was banking on a trendy fad. Recently I needed some window screen hardware and needed it that day. Walmart wouldn't have it and Floyd's was very near where I live. I drive by Floyd's almost every day and I think about how long they have been in business, which is a testament to their solid business and reliable stock of infinite hardware for any kind of project. When I got to Floyd's, I was immediately greeted by an employee who knowledgeably directed me to the aisle I needed, which was in the very back of the store in the Screen and Glass dept. I marveled at all the plumbing hardware as well as the discount prices on various tools. But what I especially liked was the boots and clothing dept. I'm a grandma now and I saw the cutest hot pink plaid toddler cowgirl shirt and boots and jeans too! My granddaughter would look so cute wearing that. I just want to say I appreciate Floyd's and I hope my community continues supporting their business because Floyd's is the original DIY store and has been there for my community since 1952.”

“Today I bought a selection of plywood from Hardwoods in Bakersfield. Not being a woodworking professional, I wasn't sure what I wanted/needed for my projects. Someone on the staff took me around the warehouse recommending options at different price points. The Plywood I left with was higher quality, at lower costs, than anything I've gotten at the big chain lumber & building supplies stores. It was a really good experience. Hardwoods will be my go to place for Plywood, MDF, etc from now on.”

Little did she know we were hoping for a miracle to match our color from 2003 maybe 2005? She color matched it perfectly with a paint sample I literally peeled off my wall. “This Lowe’s is staffed with plenty of helpful people. Their prices are usually about the same as others’, sometimes a little lower and sometimes a little higher, but even then, I go there for the superior customer service. I can always find someone to help with product locations and recommendations. I also like the convenience of shopping online and using the self-serve pick-up lockers. Also, they have easy parking and a HUGE garden center.”

“Love this store, the people are nice and helpful. For a small hardware store, they almost always have exactly what I need whether it's electrical, plumbing, wheels, pest control, welding, random nuts, bolts, threaded rod etc.. I'm there almost everyday. Prices are slightly higher than the big stores (the ONLY reason why I didn't give it 5 stars), but that is to be expected. However for me personally, it evens out because I get to save money on gas. Long story short, this hardware store is awesome, and as long as I have money burning a hole in my pocket, you can find me there.”
