Make sure you bring a quarter for the shopping cart, as they have aimed their whole store at saving the customer money, which means things like a smaller store, bagging your groceries out of line, and putting a quarter deposit on your cart so that they do not have to pay an employee to round up all the carts.”

Cooked food, produce, spices and various raw, frozen meats and sea food in bulk. Great butcher section in the back. Mexican and South American products.”

“Groceries, are so expensive and WinCo's is one of my go-to. It is located in the Lowe's shopping center and there is plenty of parking. You really can get value for your buck and the food is very inexpensive. In comparison to Walmart, Vons, and the other grocery stores you are winning. They have both check out counters with clerks and also self checkout. The grocery store is pretty much huge and has everything. They only take cash, EBT, or debit card so be prepared and do not try to pay with your credit card. As far as the service the checkers are always polite. The other people who work there are helpful. I always get an eerie feeling when I enter and shop at this WinCo. This is the Winco were the man was found dead in the pipes. Sometimes when I enter the meat department it smells like rot. It may be the freezers with old meat or drippings. They other downside that I have is the cleanliness. The checkout counter is always filthy. I think during covid-19 they were cleaning them but they are all filthy now so beware. Hopefully, the managers will read this and improve the cleanliness.”
Walmart just launched Realm, its new 3D online shopping platform. To help you visualize what that means, imagine a virtual mall packed with bright colors, wacky landscapes, and cartoon avatars wandering around. Realm lets you browse "digital doubles" of real Walmart products by navigating through several make-believe worlds. "We believe this is the future of commerce," said Justin Breton, who leads brand experiences at Walmart. "It won't replace our website or app, but will complement them."
Target's new low-cost brand Dealworthy is rolling out this month in stores and online. With items starting at under $1, it is aimed at budget-conscious shoppers. The low prices on basics like phone chargers, paper plates and underwear will likely appeal.
Walmart is growing the number of its physical stores across America. The retail giant announced plans to open 150 new U.S. stores over the next five years while remodeling 650 current locations. Popular Florida-based grocery chain Publix is venturing into uncharted territory - Kentucky. Come 2024, Publix will unveil its inaugural Bluegrass State locations, comprising six stores sprinkled between Louisville and Lexington.
