“I found myself needing a engine as I blew a head gasket in my 2005 Toyota Tacoma. I put a little over 270000 mikes on it. Every mechanic said it wouldn't be smart to just repair the head gasket, that it will be back in the shop sooner then later. They told me these engines run any where from 1800 to 2500. Also that labor will be anywhere from 1200-3000. I called about 4 places and verified this was all accurate. I was gonna give up on it and get rid of it , but a failed attempt at a car dealer mad me re evaluate the situation. I started researching and read a few forums also confirming everything I've learned about the situation, felt like I was getting no where till the last response I read. There was a link to carparts.com where they said It was possible to find a engine for under 2000. I gave it a try and to my surprise it was true. I found a engine from 5 star dismantling for 1500 with only 61k miles . I dealt with Albert and he was a tremendous help and also a pleasure to deal with. He had all the answers and educated me on the process. Albert has great customer service kills, thank you very much for your time and help. My mechanic charged under 1000 as well so around 2500 got the work slave back up and running. I would highly recommend 5 star dismantling to all my friends and family. Same goes for my mechanic . Thanks again.”
