“I went in looking for a simple, but sturdy plastic board to support the end of a cage that was an inch longer than the end of the counter. Sam made sure I chose the right kind of plastic (I didn't know there was even a difference) to survive what this board would be exposed to (bleach, cleansers). Well, the board is perfect and thank you, Sam, for suggesting one corner be rounded. I could not think of anything I would have done differently. It's perfect.”

“I was dealing with a small job but challenging color matching project, and after numerous trips to no less than 3 paint stores, I finally resolved the problem with help from Shan Damani at Dunn Edwards in San Rafael. He went above and beyond to get me the perfect color and since we discovered we were almost neighbors, he even delivered my gallon of paint to me. Service like this is rare these days. Rarely do I post reviews, but I had to say something about this store and their awesome manager, Shan.”

“Awesome store... always eager to help you, and they occasionally have some great finds. Like today, they had one seedless ruby red grape vine left for $15. Amazon has it for $65 ($50 + $15 s&h). I was so happy to find it locally and not have to wait for it to be delivered.”

“Needed some applewood pellets for my smoker. I called, they told me they stored the pellets away for the season but happy to check to see if they had the applewood. They did and brought up a bag from storage and had it at the counter for me when I came to pick it up. Needed it because I'm making homemade bacon”

“This was THE BEST customer service today I've had in ALL the Ace hardware stores in Marin! I've lived in Marin for 23 years & have been to every Ace Hardware store in the County - and this was THE BEST customer service I've had in recent memory! Willy was great - I received outstanding service today! I called in advance to ask if someone could please help me with 2 repairs, reached him on the phone, and met him with my projects. I had 2 hoses that burst and needed repaired, which he did expertly, and then a weedwacker that needed parts and cord, he assembled them all for me, checked everything to make sure it worked properly. It was hardware service as hardware service should be! We come there to find something and fix something much of the time! Willy is friendly, a supervisor there, and although young - he really knows his stuff (learned from his grandpa we spoke of!) he is smart, bright, a good learner, and/or will look to learn up on topics to answer questions if needed. Problems solved today, yay! I spent the whole rest of the day getting everything done that I needed to after those 3 items got fixed and running again! Thank you!”

“Walking through the Financial District these days is a pretty lonely experience. Fortunately there's an island of friendly helpful people and they work at Financial District Hardware. I suppose as much for security reasons as anything, staff are standing at the door to open it, greet you, and direct you to the exact isle where sought after items can be found. Of course if they don't have your item, they'll tell you that too so you don't 'waste anytime, but that's rarely been the case. The store is convenient to my home and all 14 people working in the Financial District, and I'm able to get in and out quickly, making my shopping experience a breeze. The only negative I can think of is that the prices are a bit more expensive than the box stores but the helpful service and convenience more than make up for the prices. Oh, and if you are thinking of driving there - don't.Overall, Financial District Hardware offers exceptional customer service and a great selection of products. While it may be a bit more expensive, the convenience and fantastic service more than make up for the prices. I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the area.”

“My go to place's pump was down and I needed CO2. North Bay Gas is right in my neighborhood so I decided to try them. What a pleasant surprise. “I don't write a lot of reviews, in fact it's probably been years since my last one, but I have to give a Big Shout Out to Rob Melia and the rest of the staff at Ferguson's in Corte Madera. I had a problem with an order, and Rob could not of been nicer in helping me resolve it. He certainly went above and beyond, going the extra mile to help me. These days when customer service is almost nonexistent, it was refreshing to see it's alive and well at Ferguson's and says a lot about the company. If you need anything to do with plumbing supplies, I'm happy to give my unconditional recommendation to them--you won't be disappointed.”

“This place has the best customer service. I got a paper cut right before coming in the store and the cashier right away offered me a band aid and antibiotic ointment. I have never seen this type of service in any store I have been to in my life. All the employees that I interacted with were so nice and friendly. I do not live in Fairfax, but I'd imagine that I would be coming in here for all my hardware store needs, if I did.”

“I've not been to Home Depot in quite a few years. Today, I walked through the doors, I noticed how organized this location was. I had a quick look around and realized, I needed help with not only answering a few questions about toilets, but getting the toilet I ultimately chose to the cash register. I found a gentleman named Brock, who answered all my questions about what they had in stock. He also helped with the handle for the shower. I felt like a VIP working with this man who ultimately asked for extra assistance from David, his coworker to put it in my car. Come to find out, Brock was the manager of this location. Thank you so much Brock and David for making my experience at Home Depot pleasant!”
