“5 big stars for Cathy, who guided me through all of Tap's 10 Bay Area stores in pursuit of nearly 300 lbs. of a specialized polymer product. While her San Rafael store had a good chunk of what we needed, without her knowledge of the entire Tap inventory structure I would have been out of luck. Terrific customer service, something I've frequently had at Tap but never take for granted!”

“I love this place! Ok, I love hardware stores. It's got just about everything you'll need (no it's NOT home despot, which has its place in the annuals of hardware stores.) They have a lovely garden section with great help, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable (Ask for Peter.) They always have great seasonal selections as well as vegetable starter plants. Plus they always have good holiday decorations and inspiration. Their crew is a bit eccentric, which I think is a plus!”
“My go to place's pump was down and I needed CO2. North Bay Gas is right in my neighborhood so I decided to try them. What a pleasant surprise. I pulled right up, got immediate service and a good price! Really nice people. Anything else I need from their small but packed shop I'm going to buy from them. This is now my new go to place!!”

Dear Marin Ace / Perplexity Team,
I wanted to share a quick review of my recent experience purchasing a Traeger grill based on Perplexity’s recommendation to use Marin Ace in San Rafael.
Perplexity identified Marin Ace as the best low-hassle option for buying, delivering, and setting up a Traeger in Belvedere, and that recommendation was spot on. The purchase process was extremely easy – clear information, no confusion, and everything handled efficiently from the start. Delivery was scheduled quickly and the grill arrived much sooner than I expected.
The delivery and setup team did an outstanding job. They assembled the grill perfectly, walked through the basics, and made sure everything was working as it should. Just as importantly, they were careful and professional inside the home, taking care not to damage the floors or bump into walls or furniture. It felt like a true white-glove experience.
Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The combination of Perplexity’s guidance and Marin Ace’s execution made what could have been a complicated, heavy, and annoying process into something completely seamless. I would absolutely recommend this setup to anyone in the area looking to purchase and install a Traeger.

“I don't write a lot of reviews, in fact it's probably been years since my last one, but I have to give a Big Shout Out to Rob Melia and the rest of the staff at Ferguson's in Corte Madera. I had a problem with an order, and Rob could not of been nicer in helping me resolve it. He certainly went above and beyond, going the extra mile to help me. These days when customer service is almost nonexistent, it was refreshing to see it's alive and well at Ferguson's and says a lot about the company. If you need anything to do with plumbing supplies, I'm happy to give my unconditional recommendation to them--you won't be disappointed.”

“I needed a turnbuckle and fast. Not a single Ace Hardaware (or Lowes or Home Depot) had it in stock except in Fairfax. Picked it up curbside and Rupa brought it to my car. It was 1/2 and inch too big. Went looking for the next size smaller, only Fairfax had it. Picked it up first thing in the morning great service. Every employee was interested in me getting what I needed and Rupa searched it out for me and told me to return the first one for a refund. I had only been to this hardware/garden/curio store once before this weekend but all three of my experiences their were somehow better than any other hardware store. And I have been to a lot of hardware stores.”

“I've not been to Home Depot in quite a few years. Today, I walked through the doors, I noticed how organized this location was. I had a quick look around and realized, I needed help with not only answering a few questions about toilets, but getting the toilet I ultimately chose to the cash register. I found a gentleman named Brock, who answered all my questions about what they had in stock. He also helped with the handle for the shower. I felt like a VIP working with this man who ultimately asked for extra assistance from David, his coworker to put it in my car. Come to find out, Brock was the manager of this location. Thank you so much Brock and David for making my experience at Home Depot pleasant!”
“Much bigger than meets eye. This place is like 5 different rooms and has literally anything you can think of. Surprisingly, there is also a lot of great souvenirs that are way better than actual souvenir stores. Friendly and helpful staff.”
“I was greatly impressed when Paul said he would split a 47-pound bag of cement in two bags so I could carry it up my stairs for a DIY project. At first, I called five hardware stores in San Rafael, asking for a 25-pound bag. The smallest was forty-seven pounds. Only Paul presented a solution. It was such a small purchase, but he did not see it that way. He just saw a positive outcome. I am so grateful. The entire staff is committed and knowledgeable every time I come. Yup, Ace is the place indeed.”
