“We had car trouble on a road trip from San Diego to Oregon, and had to make an unfamiliar stop in Lathrop, CA. On a recommendation from O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, we ended up at Lathrop Smog for a “diagnostics check.” The man who helped us came out right away and explained what he thought was wrong and how to fix it. He explained that they could fix it, but wouldn’t be able to get to it until late in the day. He then showed us what to do if we decided to do it ourselves (my husband worked on cars in his “younger days”). We thanked him, and before we left, offered him a tip$ for his time. He refused to take any money from us because he “didn’t do anything!” We ended up going to a local car dealership, but we wanted to give a shoutout to Lathrop Smog for their friendly and efficient assistance!”
