There is also a clinic in the back. And an area that is gated so that we could interact with the dogs and learn a bit more about their personality. Since they partnered with them, when I adopted my new puppy, they gave me a 10% coupon that I could use. So I got a new harness and some training treats for her. They were very helpful when I had questions about which training treats I should get. It been a while since I've had to train a puppy so it was nice to get some advice. There is also a dog washing station in the front. It was pretty crowded the whole time I was there.

The health issues have also kept me inside a lot. The grooming wasn't just to make her look good, but to make her feel good. She wouldn’t let me brush her because it was too painful, so I booked a whole body shave to give her a fresh start.
I am just blown away with the results of her bath & full body shave! I’ve been to a lot of groomers over the years and unfortunately many of them don’t know how to work with cats. It’s clear these groomers know what they’re doing.

The entire team is so warm and welcoming, and my dog & I have had nothing but great experiences. Dr. Pador is incredibly thorough, listens to your concerns without rushing through the visit, and is always open to answering questions. I have a miniature poodle with lifelong issues, and I can honestly say this place has been his saving grace numerous times. I love this place. I live 1 hour away now, and I still bring my dog here because they’re so worth it! You’ll never feel bullied into approving unnecessary procedures/tests, you’ll just be given information and alternatives that don’t guilt you. I take care of people for a living, but I have even more respect for those who take care of our pets. 10/10 I would recommend this place.

I brought her back in a couple days later for something else. He ask a lot of questions then explained things to me that he was concerned about with my cat. I received two follow-up calls from the doc inquiring status of my cat. This is not something I am used to. Highly recommend this clinic. Only downside was, they work by appointment only so I couldn't just walk in and wait for an opening. They were very accommodating in setting up an appointment though.

Primary Care Animal Hospital
2200 N Lakewood Blvd, Long BeachWe had a really good experience at Primary Care Animal Hospital. Our dog started having blood in her urine and was trying to pee but nothing would come out. Our regular vet initially gave antibiotics and medication, and he said if it happens again, we should take her to the hospital for more test as he was thinking there was something in her bladder like stones. When the symptoms returned a week later, we knew we had to take her to the hospital. Since our usual clinic doesn’t offer urgent care, we searched and found this hospital on Google.
They were able to see us the same day. The front desk staff was very kind and welcoming, and even though the place is currently remodeling, everything still felt organized and efficient. They performed an X-ray and urinalysis, found a bladder stone, and clearly explained the situation and treatment options. Because the stone was too large to pass naturally, surgery was recommended. They walked us through the procedure, provided a clear estimate, and scheduled surgery for the very next day.
The entire visit took about 3 hours, and we felt our dog was in very good hands the whole time. She is now on the road to recovery, and we’re so grateful for the care she received. We also appreciate that this hospital is closer to home — we’ve definitely found our new vet.

The front office staff are always so friendly and welcoming (shoutout to Victor and Kellie), and all of the vet techs have been wonderful as well. We’ve always had great experiences with Dr. Choi. My dog recently had a surgical procedure, and Dr. Choi was incredibly patient answering all of my questions and even personally called the next day to check on how she was feeling, which meant so much to me.
Libby also loves coming in for physical therapy rehab sessions with Catherine. Everyone here truly treats her like family, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such caring and capable hands. Thank you all for taking such amazing care of Libby! Highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a compassionate and trustworthy veterinary team.

Sit Means Sit Dog Training Long Beach
1315 E 56th St, Long BeachI found Sit Means Sit LB via the positive reviews and couldn’t be happier with the results, so wanted to do the same for someone else looking for a dog training program. We enrolled our 5 year old Morkie, Bella, who struggled with being overprotective and hyper possessive (or “resource guarding”) with her dad/my husband. After we had a baby, the aggressive/reactive behavior intensified. And after a few close-call incidents with other people and dogs, we decided that it was time to get professional training. I researched several different local programs and Sit Means Sit LB immediately stood out with great reviews. I also liked that it was one of the few day-training programs because I didn’t want to send Bella away for 2-6 weeks to a board and train program.
Right from the initial evaluation with owner, Lisa-Marie, I knew we had found our solution and signed up for the training program on the spot. At the initial evaluation meeting, Lisa-Marie took the time to get to know Bella, us as owners and the specific concerns that we had regarding Bella’s behavior. She then explained the program in detail, including how training would be customized to address our specific concerns (including with our new baby) and gave us a hands-on demonstration of how the e-collar works/feels. The program was around $3,000, which was at the top of our budget, but it has definitely been worth the investment and they also offer flexible payment schedules/financing which helped.
We started seeing results after the second session, which is when you take home the e-collar. With each session, they sent us videos of Bella with training demonstrations and progress updates, which has been super helpful. I also loved that they had a welcome sign for with our pup’s name for each day of training (nice touch!). They also customized training to address specific situations involving the baby (e.g., stroller walks). After completing the 4 private sessions, Bella is a completely different dog and we look forward to continuing her training in group classes.
Overall, we are SO happy we found Sit Means Sit! Special shout out to both Lisa-Marie and Candace (trainer) — they worked wonders with our Bella! Thank you!!

Our main struggles were with Juno guarding me and her extreme anxiety in new/overstimulating environments. Previously, Juno would fully charge at other dogs that got too close with scary growling and barking. Now, with the tools Alex has given us, there has been tremendous progress! Juno is much more adaptable in various environments and much less reactive towards other dogs. I am beyond grateful for Alex and how much she has helped, it has greatly improved Juno's life. We're going out a lot more without having to do hours of desensitizing and I'm no longer anxious about Juno if other dogs get close on a walk.
Juno has been stellar at keeping focused on me instead of distractions since training with Alex. Juno couldn't have gotten to this poing without her! Everything we learned has been invaluable. My relationship with Juno feels deeper and more steady, and Juno is loving having more freedom again like she did as a younger pup. I cannot thank Alex enough and am eternally grateful!

They made my boy feel welcome and gave him the love needed to help him adjust. Mary was especially very kind and reassuring! I watched him from the live feed all throughout his stay and there and was very impressed with the cleanliness and care put into taking care of the cats by the workers. 3960 Cherry Ave, Long BeachI've been taking my dog, Donner, to the Pet Set since 2023. To say that it's his favorite thing is an understatement. He is absolutely obsessed with going to daycare. He'll get mad at me if I pick him up early.
When I got home from deployment, he was at daycare. I was so excited to see him after months of being away, and I decided to pick him up early. He was more annoyed that I showed up early to get him than he was excited that I was finally home.
While I have mixed feelings about the fact that he likes daycare more than being reunited with me, it's wonderful to know that he feels so safe and loved while he's there.
The staff is fantastic, they learned his name and his quirks very quickly. When I come to pick him up, I'm given updates on how he was that day (he's very moody) and it's comforting to know that someone always has an eye on him.
The facilities are great and always kept clean. I also love the fact that there's such a large outdoor space for him to run around in.
I absolutely recommend the Pet Set to any pet parents that are looking for a trustworthy daycare that truly loves and cares about the dogs in their care.

The food service was quick and easy. 10 minutes after ordering, we received our food in batches and once we pierced our forks through the hot, steamy eggs along with the bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. We were blown away from how they’ve outdone themselves not only by service, but in the kitchen too.
This is one of the most extraordinary Denny’s I have ever went to. Please go check it out and order their meals.

The donuts were fresh and delicious, the matcha was surprisingly great, and the whole shop had such a warm, welcoming feel. You can tell it's a family-owned business that truly cares about its customers. It felt like stepping into a place where everyone is treated like family. And the food is phenomenal. The Chicken Tawook, Ali’s Favorite, and the falafel are my go-to’s , I’m not kidding when I say I eat here 3–4 times a week ?.
This is exactly why we love Open Sesame. Amazing food and even better people. Huge shoutout to Chris and the entire team!

Crack at Bixby village golf course
6180 Bixby Village Dr, Long BeachFirst time here got the dirty was blown away they cook the burger from my dog Gizmo he ate it all he's only 12 lbs only downside now is I guess they're allowing takeout. Had to wait a little bit while a guy took 10 of them but I'll be back it was definitely worth the the time waiting I sat out on the back porch next to the grill with just incredible essence
