Inside Pet Food Express, 4220 Long Beach Blvd, Long BeachI came here for a dog adoption event that was organized with Ozzie and Friends. They have a back room that they use for events like this. There is also a clinic in the back. And an area that is gated so that we could interact with the dogs and learn a bit more about their personality. Since they partnered with them, when I adopted my new puppy, they gave me a 10% coupon that I could use. So I got a new harness and some training treats for her. They were very helpful when I had questions about which training treats I should get. It been a while since I've had to train a puppy so it was nice to get some advice. There is also a dog washing station in the front. It was pretty crowded the whole time I was there.

She enjoyed the entire staff as they lavished her with their affection and care. She came back feeling clean and fresh. We were both so happy. I'm so grateful. The big store claims to clean their stations, but it smells like no one has thoroughly sanitized in weeks. Spraying some cheap solution between clients does NOT count as cleaning. The pet store also rushed us by giving us 20 min total. Yes, I have a small dog, but how am I supposed to wash, condition, and blow dry him in 20 minutes?? This place was not only extremely clean but allowed 45 minutes for small dogs. I had time to let him warm up to the environment and wash him at a pace that he was comfortable with. They have excellent water pressure that adjusts temperature, and the dryers adjust speed too. What really sold me was the customer service! They offered refreshments and made sure I knew how to use the equipment. I felt so welcomed that I inquired about switching groomers for when he’s ready for a haircut. My usually anxious dog left with his tail wagging and took a big nap when he came home. I left with a stamp card that I plan to fill up, since every 4th wash is free!

They very clearly care about safety and comfort of the pets they groom above all else. My cat was given plenty of breaks whenever she was getting antsy, and they asked my permission to take longer with her than was originally estimated. Some may think that taking a long time to groom is a negative, but considering they didn't charge more for the extra time and it was very clearly for the safety and comfort of my cat, I honestly prefer a safe groom to a fast one and think the price and time was worth it. She turned out looking SUPER cute (and I don't like the look of lion cuts, so I'm EXTRA impressed because I love her styling!), and they gave me a great summary of everything they did and how well she handled it! I will definitely be bringing her back!!

The waiting room was clean and comfortable and waited no more than 5 minutes. At the last veterinarian my dog needed to be muzzled and was super stressed but not at this place. This assistant held her in her arms and the vet was very compassionate while sharing options for care.

Dr Choi listens to our concerns and preferences, and just as strongly pays attention to the way our dog is behaving to make sure there aren't other signatures we are missing. Twice we have brought her an issue that seemed difficult to treat and provided effective treatment suggestions, with options based on how aggressive or passive we want to be.
I am impressed by the entire office. I can call in the morning on my way to work with a prescription refill request, or call with a question, and within a few hours have an answer or a plan of action. As my friend noted, they are not the cheapest option - but I have found the quality of service to be the best I have seen after 20 years of living in the area.

4700 CA-1, Long BeachAlex is beyond incredible! When my dog Juno's arthritis and spondylosis got worse, so did her anxiety and reactions to other dogs with me present. Our main struggles were with Juno guarding me and her extreme anxiety in new/overstimulating environments. Previously, Juno would fully charge at other dogs that got too close with scary growling and barking. Now, with the tools Alex has given us, there has been tremendous progress! Juno is much more adaptable in various environments and much less reactive towards other dogs. I am beyond grateful for Alex and how much she has helped, it has greatly improved Juno's life. We're going out a lot more without having to do hours of desensitizing and I'm no longer anxious about Juno if other dogs get close on a walk.
Juno has been stellar at keeping focused on me instead of distractions since training with Alex. Juno couldn't have gotten to this poing without her! Everything we learned has been invaluable. My relationship with Juno feels deeper and more steady, and Juno is loving having more freedom again like she did as a younger pup. I cannot thank Alex enough and am eternally grateful!

The Pet Set
3960 Cherry Avenue, Long BeachIt’s been a few months since I started bringing Artemis to PetSet, and we went from me just buying day passes here and there to now having a full monthly package. That should probably tell you how much we love it here.
Artemis absolutely loves going to daycare every day. She is still a puppy with A LOT of energy, so daycare has been great for helping her burn some of that off while also socializing with other dogs. She is also deaf, so being around other dogs has been really helpful for her as she continues learning social cues and how to navigate the world a little differently.
I’ve also used their training services. I’m not going to lie, Artemis is stubborn, so we are still a work in progress, lol. But she has definitely picked up some commands, and one huge improvement is that she no longer pulls me down the street when we walk!
One of my favorite things about PetSet is the cameras. I probably check them more than I should throughout the day, but I love being able to see her playing and having fun. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing I can check in on her whenever I want.
I also love that they treat daycare like an actual daycare. They have activities, arts and crafts, picture days, and other little special events for the dogs. I have gotten some of the cutest pictures of Artemis from them. It really feels like she is going to school sometimes.
I’ve also used PetSet for boarding, and it made leaving her so much easier knowing she was staying somewhere she already knew and loved.
I highly recommend PetSet. Artemis is happy there, I have peace of mind while she’s there, and the staff have always made us feel welcome. At this point, it really has become part of her routine and one of her favorite places.

420 Cherry Ave, Long BeachOrdered the NYC Chopped cheese and Philly cheese steak. They were sooo goood. I wish the green sauce containers had more in it but other than that everything was great. Great spot, worth a try in my book if you are thinking about it.

2015 East 10th Street, Long BeachHusband and I love their Curry fresh made every time we order it and good portion too. The registration service always friendly. Parking is always pack on the street but we park at the northgate parking to pick up order 😁 family of 4 spend from $70 to $80 depending on the dish we order.

144 Linden Avenue, Long BeachMy experience with District Wine was top tier! the staff and i think that was the owner, they were really nice and humble makes me wanna support the business more you know, i dont know what to get tbh and they provide recommendation and explaining it in detail to make sure that the drink that i will order will match my pallet, and it did! I'm super happy on how it played out and i enjoyed the time there, interior design was cool it was very cozy and kinda welcoming in a sense. Will make sure to recommend this to my friends and family!

Rosie's Dog Beach
5000 East Ocean Boulevard, Long BeachNice dog beach. Great to see the fun had by most of the furry friends. Dog off-leash are well trained and no issues with other dogs. Plenty of trash cans and they split bags if you forget yours.
A dig wash station would earn this place a 5-star easily.
