Short Stories Hotel offers a unique and affordable stay in a prime West Hollywood location near The Grove and Farmers Market. The hotel features simple, studio-like rooms with an ascetic visual appeal, feeling somewhat crowded but adequate for a short stay. The staff's service is polite but not overly enthusiastic, giving a sense that guests are tolerated rather than warmly welcomed. The peaceful atmosphere makes it a good spot for reading and reflection. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds, nice amenities including robes, and thoughtful touches like turn-down service and free drinks vouchers. The hotel's courtyard is charming, often hosting lively events such as live DJs on weekends, adding to a friendly, social vibe. The restaurant offers decent food in a great setting, perfect for relaxing or working. The location is highly convenient, close to food spots, parks, and walkable attractions, making it ideal for those who enjoy walking and exploring. While the neighborhood has faced some damages, the hotel itself remains a peaceful place to stay, offering good value for around $350 a night compared to pricier options. Overall, Short Stories Hotel provides a quiet, comfortable, and well-situated base for visitors wanting to experience West Hollywood.
The neighborhood needs to recover from the damages it has sustained. It’s hard to organize food , and other necessities.
The hotel itself is very peaceful, a peaceful place for reading and deep thinking. You’ll find your quiet there.
