Holiday Haus is a business in Mammoth Lakes known for its great and ideal location. It is on the main street, close to restaurants, a bakery, rentals, a grocery store, and the Village, all within less than a mile. It is often considered a good value and the least expensive option compared to other hotels and Airbnbs in the area, with a tip to book on Airbnb for a cheaper rate and no cleaning fee. The rooms and suites, including king size rooms and one-bedroom suites, are described as pretty huge, roomy, super cozy with a cabin feel, fairly clean, pretty spotless, and well-equipped. They offer plenty of space for luggage, a well-equipped kitchen, a full-size fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, and a walk-in shower. Some units are on one story and on the end, providing quiet at night without people above. Check-in and check-out are noted as no hassle, with an early 2 PM check-in time. However, there are consistent criticisms. The beds and pillows are called exceptionally uncomfortable and super springy. The hot tub or jacuzzi is frequently described as disgusting, full of gross things like floating hair, with no chlorine, causing itchiness. Maintenance issues include spotty wifi, a non-working hair dryer, noisy wall heaters in bedrooms, and plumbing issues evident during visits. The business is also noted as not PCT hiker friendly, with management refusing early lobby access for freezing hikers and not allowing bag storage. The place is older, but kept fairly clean despite its age. Many guests state they would definitely stay again or consider staying again, especially for the location and value, though some note they would book a nicer unit when with family.
I left my phone there but they mailed it back to me. Nice location easy to walk from parking. 🫡🫡

The best part of this hotel is its great location near the wonderful lakes and Yosemite – we really loved Mammoth Lakes! The stay was okay for one night, but the furniture is quite old and one of the beds was not very comfortable. Hygiene could also be improved, especially with the towels and the old carpet flooring.
