“FIVE STARS because this place is exactly as advertised! If you're expecting a luxury resort, this isn't it, BUT if you are looking for a safe, peaceful, convenient, and comfortable mountain getaway, these cozy cabins are it and have THE BEST views you'll find anywhere! My family of 4 (mom, dad, 2 year old and 5 year old) + our large German Shepherd dog spent 10 days in the Minaret cabin and were BLOWN AWAY by the amazing views and open space on this property. Given how exposed it is to the elements, I expected a cold draft, but we stayed snug even when it was literally ZERO degrees Fahrenheit outside. The snow removal team cleared our bath before dawn (and I thought they were smarties for having the best views of sunrise while they worked). I enjoyed wandering the property with my dog at every hour to take in the colorful sunrise/sunset, 360 mountain views, and marvel at the unparalleled stargazing. My kids had a blast playing in the deep, fresh snow right outside our doorstep and practicing skiing down the snow plow piles. We enjoyed the convenience of how close we were to everything in town (5-10 minute walk to the park/Rec Center and Town Loop access, restaurants and the grocery store), while feeling miles away. The shower had plentiful hot water. We made every meal except 1 in the kitchen (simple things like avocado toast topped with tomato slices and a fried egg; sandwiches of every variety; pasta with meat sauce, garlic bread, and sauteed green beans; chicken quesadillas with guacamole; heated store-bought tomato basil bisque with fresh grilled cheese; brought a home-made frozen lasagna to serve with a salad). No one had trouble sleeping after playing hard all day! The Sierra Meadows Ranch staff was so respectful and responsive, both Sean on the grounds and Mark via text. They tended to our individual needs immediately, even anticipating some things we wouldn't have thought to request. We could not have enjoyed our stay more! It was truly a magical week+ in the mountains, and we will be back!”

“Will totally be coming back next year! We rented the Yosemite Lodge and it was more than enough room for us 10 people. Beautiful surroundings and the staff at the General store were so kind and helpful too. My brother got a screw in his tire and right before we had to check out they called a mobile tire guy and he came out and plugged his tire. Absolutely amazing trip. We came right before the fishing season started and went fishing at Benton's Crossing and caught so many fish (and released). Enjoyed the visit to Hot creek too! So Much to do! But definitely can't say enough about how we enjoyed our stay at Convict Lake Resort.”
“The room was cozy and beautiful. The hotel sits in a peaceful area with views of the lakes. I was offered hot cider upon checkin. The staff showed me the hiking map and offer spikes to walk around in the winter. The restaurant serves good food, especially the elk. One minor cons was that I was surprised by a fee to share appetizers which was not notified on the menu or by the server. Overall though everything was pleasant. Would come here again.”
“The goat Melissa help me out when I was short on money huge thanks to her 10/10 place love this motel would 100% would recommend to stay here if you are ever staying up to snowboard ski or even just chill in mammoth very cozy and amazing staff too!”

“Ended up in room 16 and it was a super cozy cabin feel next to the outdoor hot tub that seats about 5. Had plenty of space for 2 with all our ski stuff and luggage. Would definitely stay again”
“We stayed in one of the condo during our stay in Mammoth Lakes. It was well located with the shuttle stop just at our doorstep and the bike lane across the road. 5 minutes drive from the "downtown" where you can have a stroll at the shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the outdoor pool was not heated and even in August, it was as cold as the lakes, brrrrr!!”
“Hotel in its original state but it's charming, like a beautiful old mountain chalet.
Very friendly welcome, perfect location, and room with all the necessary comfort.”
“This was an oddly mixed experience for a Marriott property. The rooms themselves were very good – quiet, comfortable, and well-appointed – and the location is excellent, especially for skiing, with the gondola just steps away.
Where the stay fell short was the service around elite benefits. As an Ambassador member, requesting the complimentary breakfast felt awkward, as though we were asking for something extra rather than a standard benefit. After receiving the vouchers, there also seemed to be ongoing confusion among staff about what items were included in the grab-and-go section, and we had to clarify this repeatedly on subsequent mornings.
Given the level of the property and the loyalty tier, I would have expected a smoother, more welcoming experience around these basics.”

“For one of the lower-cost lodging options in town, this far exceeded my expectations! The location was incredibly convenient to everything in town, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed the hot tub after a day on the mountain. I will definitely stay here again!”
“Everything we needed for a long Thanksgiving weekend with the kids. Our room had everything we needed, was warm and comfortable and the location has great access and convenience to the mountain. I cant fault the facilities but a tip..... Be mindful where you park your car in the garage, an acidic drip from an above pipe has burnt through the clear coat of my brand new truck and that the only reason I give it 4*”

“Kinda outdated but makes up for it by being so super close to the chairlift! Ok food, equipment rental right in the lobby, and very helpful staff. A few hot tubs and a pool too...”
“I spent a day out at Convict Lake Resort Marina and, not gonna lie, it felt like the ultimate alpine escape. The boats are spotless and super comfy. The prefect place to bring friends and family together onto a luxury pontoon (the 20’ seats up to 9 and runs about $707/day, or go big with the 25’ Cruise for 13 people at $807/day). The staff gets you set up fast and with a smile. The lake itself is ringed by dramatic peaks, and there’s nothing like grilling up your fresh-caught bass right on the water while soaking in those mountain views. The water is ice-cold (classic alpine lake), but well worth a dip if you’re feeling brave.
Pro tip: do the lake loop hike before or after. It's easy, scenic, and you’ll want to work up an appetite for an on-boat cookout. Perfect spot for a day with friends or family, just remember to book ahead and fill out your waiver online.”
