“Pulled in after midnight and being on the road for 18 hours. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even went as far as to run to the hotel next door to get me a shaving kit. Big kudos to him!”
“It is so difficult to make this a short review because there are so many great things to say! The moment we stepped foot onto The Barns at Cooper Molera property, we fell in love. This is a gorgeous venue with so much natural beauty and special history.
Frankie was originally assigned to us as our event coordinator for our wedding. She was amazing to work with, and it was clear from the start that she knew her stuff. Unexpectedly, just a little over 2 months before our wedding day we were informed our wedding was being reassigned to Jen due to restructuring of the company. If I’m being honest, the communication started off a little rocky, and it was a lot of back and forth to get a call set up, which initially made me nervous. However, with patience on both ends, we made it through. We felt confident after meeting with both Jen and Frankie at our rehearsal to discuss potential layout changes due to the weather. My husband and I were pushing to stick to our planned outdoor ceremony, and Jen pulled through and made the buzzer-beater call. It felt so magical, with rain dripping from the trees and the sun coming out during our vows. I’m unsure what we would have done without Jen, the staff, and the rest of our vendor team. There’s no doubt that Jen and her team worked their butts off to make the vision for our special day come to life.
I have to add that the food and drinks were AMAZING. We are still getting compliments from our guests that this was some of the best food they’ve ever eaten, especially at a wedding! We had around 170 guests, and every single piece of salmon and steak was cooked to perfection. It was one of the most memorable meals that I wish I could go back and eat again. Also, the petite desserts table!! YUM! Everything was just so good.
To sum it up, this was the best day of our lives. It was beautiful and fun, and the Barns/Events by Classic team knows what they are doing. We’re big fans and highly recommend The Barns for your wedding or large event!”
“Amazing event space for the Monterey County Boy & Girls Club - Comics for Kids event. A first rate event. The food was amazing. Braised short ribs were freaking amazing. I really enjoyed the pre=reception area with complementary wine and light appetizers, that include a meat and cheese display and also an ahi-tuna bit that was excellent as well. A wonderful event space for any organization and/or corporate event to showcase their company.”
“It is a beautiful place to visit or attend a convention and then visit the city and enjoy all the tourist places in the place, for example the pier to eat or buy your souvenirs.”
“We had our wedding at the Perry House last weekend and I could not wait to write a review. We had a fanatic experience working with Perry. The night went seamlessly and if something was wrong, we never knew! Truly enjoyed the event and working with Susan. From the experience of searching, to the tasting (which was more like a feast), to the day of- we are truly thankful and appreciative of the Perry House team. The food and drinks are PHENOMENAL and was a big deciding factor. The venue is gorgeous and center to so much in Monterey.”
“Rooms: King room is great! Ample space, big cozy bed, dressing table area, large bathroom with walk in shower, sitting area and my room has a little balcony. I have a partially obstructed view but it’s still lovely. The sound and smell of the ocean and seagulls … fantastic morning soundtrack!
Also has small fridge, Nespresso machine, tea kettle, and waters, luxurious robe, hair dryer, and iron. With no tacky price lists to charge you for the drink “extras.”
Walkability: 7-10 minute walk to Cannery Row and the much less pricey, far less fancy, restaurants on Lighthouse Ave.
Food and drinks: Chocolate ganache tart at the lobby bar is delicious.”

“My experience with the Monterey County Fairgrounds has primarily been thru the Carmel Valley 4-H. The accommodations for the kids with livestock are, in my opinion, top of the line. I love this place and the sense of community that comes with it!”
“My wife and I got married here in September and it was perfect. The venue worked with us to meet all of our needs and the evening exceeded expectations. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wedding venue with flexibility to make the event their own!”
“You know what, I really like this course, for the first time I walk 18 holes, this is not just enjoyable but a very rewarding 4-hour walk, cause you get to explore such a lovely courses details , and the tranquility of this nice little town called Pacific Grove.
You first start with two Par 3s, break with two Par 4, then followed by two consecutive Par 5s, interesting arrangements [Joyful]
Overall, Front 9 is nice and easy, just simple dog leg right or left with not much hazards; but the Back 9 is whole another story, you start playing by or against the sea, even though the breeze will cut your yardage, but it just totally worth it to be pushed back this way.
Starting from Hole 12, you get see, hear, and smell the Pacific Ocean, totally different level of golfing I'll say.
There's a 1885 lighthouse situated right by Hole 10, which kind of refresh your game after 9 holes, and actually it's right by the tee box of Hole 16, which is called LIGHTHOUSE [Joyful]
I would say the entire Hole 16 is their signature hole, especially when you look at the sea while trying to approach the green.”
“Nicely situated on beach a little remote from wharf. Nice catered food lots of beach not crowded. Parking is not great. Limited in small lot. Lots of pay parking.”
“We rented Laguna Grande hall at Oldemeyer Center for our event in August 2023, it worked well for us. The kitchen was well equipped, it has ice machine. The administrative staff at the reception was helpful, prompt in answering the calls & emails. At the end of our event, the cleaning staff was ready to do their part & advised us on what was left for us to clear out. They also did a final walk-through with us. We were refunded the security deposit promptly. Ample parking.”
“I recently went to watch deadpool in theater with friends and the experience was great and concessions was very helpful in helping us get what we needed and finding our snacks. the only issue is the heat!! even now as fall is coming the main lobby is so hot and i genuinely sweat by the time im at my theater room.”
“this "hotel", which both is and isn't is of that rare breed of lodging that makes one feel at home. literally.if you have ever had the occasion and opportunity to be a guest in a better home, The Lodge at Pebble Beach will remind you of that kind of experience.every interaction with staff gave one the feeling they were being attended to by an old family equerry. there was nothing corporate about the experience. at no time did i feel i was being subjected to some "standard operating procedure" or employee's manual.the rooms, even the modest ones, are palatial, for what they are. high ceiling and sprawling floorspace make for an en-suite guestroom in a mansion, sort of vibe.room service. the food arrived hot, even though the kitchen was a few hundred yards away and it was raining, cold and windy.the concierge. a more affable exchange can not be had.the bar. i asked that the bartender prepare an obnoxiously off-the-menu cocktail and he did it, without thinking about it. without hesitation. and not with any complaining or exasperated vibe, either.the people at the front desk kind of put you in the mind of a fuzzy episode of the TV Series "Hotel" in the way they tendered the keenest and intentional care to every word that comes from your mouth.at every turn i was confronted with nicety, service, and warmth.i'll be back.thank you, Lodge!”

“While I can't speak to it as a golf course, as a venue and a restaurant i can't recommend this place highly enough. Betsy was a joy to work with while planning our wedding, the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn, the food they serve both as catering and in the restaurant is fantastic, and the location itself is beautiful. My wife and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding experience.”

“Location, location, location. Best one in Monterey. First, we were welcomed charcuterie fruits, cheese, chocolate and champagne! The hotel is walking distance to everywhere and we never took our car out. We took Lyft once to a restaurant that was 6 miles away. First night we had a few drinks at the bar. Service was great from Ricky. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the morning open at 6:30-11 am. We wanted local coffee and simply walked 1/2 a block. The Wells Fargo Bank was also right there the next block. Staff are super friendly and we had a nice corner room with a view of the Marina thanks to Irma. The hotel is due to for a remodel as the bathroom were a little older. The room decor was simple and beds were comfortable. I did love the cotton light robes and slippers they provide and oversized bath towels. Thank you for a great stay!”
“Staff are very friendly, but management is saving expense and understaffing during weekdays. It seems to be working some nights. But I have seen lines at the concession as there are only 2 employees on shift.”
“We did not stay the night here, but did enjoy the use of the restaurant. Which was delicious ?
Food & drinks: Limited menu, but what was available was delicious. Was supposed at the lack of seafood options being so close to the ocean”

“Clean, bright, inviting waft of popcorn permeating the lobby, comfy seats, great sound, only negative was we were FREEZING!!!! The A/C did not need to be on a late afternoon in chilly Marina, especially with 6 of us being the only patrons! Bring jackets and wear socks!!!”
