“I'm a Monterey local wedding photographer and have photographed at Barns at Cooper Molera many times! It's honestly one of my favorite venues in the area - the rustic barn, garden, and string lights all make for a beautiful venue. Everything is in one place, which means it's easy to get around the venue. I love that the barn has a window from the second floor - it's a great spot for portraits and to take overhead shots of the ceremony and reception.

A few important things to note about this venue! It's right in downtown Monterey and shares a courtyard with Alta Bakery (which is a perfect spot to grab breakfast pastries and coffee!) The bakery does stay open even when there's weddings, so keep in mind that people may be within vicinity of the venue until 4pm if you're doing first look or portraits before the ceremony. People will usually typically keep to the bakery side though, so you likely won't even notice! There's also no designated parking lot since it's right in downtown.

If you're thinking of getting married in Monterey, I highly recommend this venue. All the couples I've photographed here have said wonderful things about it, you can't go wrong!”

“We had our wedding at The Club at Pasadera (now TPC Monterey at Pasadera), and it was everything we hoped for. Carl Cortez, the Director of Events and Catering, was incredible to work with from start to finish. He was responsive, flexible, and genuinely cared about making our vision come to life.

The venue is beautiful, with gorgeous indoor and outdoor spaces, and having access to the lodge for some of our wedding party made the weekend even more memorable. Every staff member we met was friendly and welcoming – from our first tour to coming back for lunch on our one-year anniversary.

The full-service experience made everything so much easier, and we couldn't have asked for a better team to help us celebrate. We highly recommend TPC Monterey to any couple looking for a beautiful venue and people who truly care.”

“We visited recently for a friend's wedding and it was beautiful! The balconies have a gorgeous view of the bay. Kind and professional staff. Just a couple of things to keep in mind.

1. The mixed drinks felt watered down. My partner must have had 10+ mixed drinks before feeling a buzz. I understand wedding guests are notorious for getting rowdy so it does make sense. However I had an espresso martini and it was as strong as normal so I'm not sure what the issue was.
2. The street noise was quite loud and distracting during the ceremony. Anytime loud people walked by, a car drove by, etc you could definitely hear it.
3. The bars were hosted on multiple floors. If your guests have mobility limitations, getting up and down the stairs multiple times throughout the event is a challenge. There is a ramp from the main level going down, but only stairs going to the upper level.
4. There was only one cocktail hour bartender and we waited 30 minutes for 1 drink. The dinner and the reception the lines seemed better.

Somethings could be improved but it was a good experience.”

“Historic venue, a bit run down...but they try!

1967... famous for the Monterey Internatiinal Pop Festival where The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Janis Joplin, The Who, and Otis Redding (to name a few) appeared before they became the legendary icons they'd become.

Today it's still hosts the famous Monterey Jazz Festival, California Roots Music and Arts festival... The Monterey County fair and many other events, both public and private.

The one star loss is merely because it is an old facility and hasn't been improved upon in many years. Still a fun and safe venue!”

“Class of 1980 Monterey High School had their 45th Reunion at Wave Street Studio on October 11th, 2025. It was an awesome reunion . The location and venue was perfect! We all had a lot fun catching up, dancing, reminiscing and getting reacquainted. I had a lot of classmates that had commented to me this was the best reunion and excellent place to have it. I agreed. The reunion was a huge success! Thanks to Rhett and Judy for making this easy to have a successful and fun reunion!”

“The location is great, beautiful grounds, nice ambiance inside the hotel. Our thermostat didn't work, no fan in the bathroom, beds were too soft. TV was outdated and slow- not a good UI- hard to connect. No USBC outlets. Getting to the spa was a trek. The hotel has multiple buildings and sort of a maze of passages. The service was good however, especially housekeeping did a nice job. It didn't seem quite worth the money and there were some basic amenities missing”

“Wonderful venue for large events (up to 400 people rented or more for ones they host). Large Hall, commercial kitchen, free parking, lush lawn, and even a playground for children.”

“Flew all the way from Chicago to attend a wedding in Monterey Bay. The reception was held in the memory garden and it was an absolutely awesome setting for a reception. It was an open atmosphere and I felt like I was in the hills of Spain. The service was impeccable and the food selections were outstanding. It was a little chilly at night and they could’ve used a few more space heaters but otherwise this is a phenomenal setting for a reception.”

“This place is a hidden treasure. We found it while looking for a place that is reasonably priced in Monterey. We had VetTix for a fantastic concert, The Black Violins, which was held at the the Sunset Center in Carmel by the Sea. Everything was fabulous.”

“We like to stay at this hotel whenever we feel like going to Monterrey. This time we stayed two nights and as always everything was great. Additionally this time we went to their Fin and Field restaurant which was an amazing experience. We had the fish tacos and halibut fish, beer selection and expreso Martini. Everything was awesome. But the best experience came from the staff. Starting with the manager Zach who always made sure that we were doing good and made our experience one of a kind. We also met Humberto who happened to be of the same original nationality as us and he made our time worthwhile. We also need to highlight Connor from the bar who made sure our drinks were of high quality. Overall an amazing stay at the Monterrey Marriott. Rooms were clean, linens of great quality and excellent housekeeping and bell hop. I give them all a 10.”

“Spider man was Emotionally charged, exciting and perfectly so weird. I loved it.

“The rooms and buildings kinda weren’t the most updated overall (no luggage carts) but the hammock garden was unique and the best for relaxing. Fire pits by the golf course are also very nice for the end of sunset. Staff was so kind honestly all of them deserve a raise.”
