“Ben in deli was awesome, every worker that we encountered was more than willing and happy to help. Ben made great recommendations and came out from the counter to help us. Tim overheard our convo and stepped in to help us. Customer service here has been superior to any other grocery store I've been to. With the holidays right around the corner you usually get unhappy workers. Honestly everyone here seemed to really enjoy their jobs. Gloria was our cashier and she was very nice as well. She was polite and quick with entering our bulk items.”

“Aside from them not having my favorite brand of pork rinds (they sell out so quickly) I love this shop. The staff are friendly courteous and knowledgeable. I haven't had them overcharge me (unlike at the shop next door "Shannons").They may not have the biggest or greatest selection but for a convenience / liquor / gas station / smoke shop, etc. store, I appreciate that they aren't overpriced despite their location on a busy highway - again unlike the neighboring store Shannons.I hope the next time someone tries to rob these guys they trip over their own feet and knock themselves unconscious as they hit the floor (:”
“I love this bookstore! The aisles and the books themselves are clean and unobstructed. Even better, the proprietor keeps them well-organized and in alphabetic order, where applicable, and has a great selection of both fiction and non-fiction. She greets you cheerfully, is happy to help you with your list if you have one, or leaves your to browse or read peacefully if that's what you want. I spent a pleasant 2 hours there and went home with a nice stack of books for my collection. What could be better than a store that sells you what you want and makes the shopping experience an enjoyable experience rather than a necessary evil!”

“My Mom and I went in the afternoon to check it out. She bought some pan dulce and I bought this interesting peach ice cream that was expensive $6.99 but it was good. Light and not super sweet on a stick. There's some Central American food from our country of Costa Rica. The cakes looked nice except for the bear on the side of one cake.. lol, he looked funky. Everyone had a smile! All the employees looked so nice. Even the manager in the front had the most incredible patience as 1 customer kept having her cards decline, and were holding up the line. He just waited patiently. I asked, they are not hiring at the moment he said look at his Facebook page for updates. Because it was the afternoon. The pan dulce was almost all sold out. They had samples that were covered. Everything was stocked and they were stocking as we were shopping too. Alot of Latin products and Chinese and Japanese products too! They also have money gram and pay bills option. The piñata were cute! Some things were equal to most stores some had maybe $1-$2 above regular price, but every store has different prices and this store is for convenience from the bigger Crowded lines of Rancho San Miguel. Although they had 2 cashiers the line went quickly. My Mom is in almost all the pics. ? also they grill chicken outside and you can buy it inside. It Smells amazing! Parking is ehhh. A little crowded and a bit dangerous backing out. They made the outside of the store really nice and the other Plaza stores got a face lift in the process! I can see this market bringing in profit for all the other stores too!”
“If This store doesn't do something about the parking lot vendors if that's what you want to call them we will not shop here any longer. They are rude and persistent. I don't want to be harassed by people selling crap in the parking lot especially when they are rude in front of my kids. I'm going back next week and if they haven't done anything about it it'll be the last time.”

“I ALWAYS enjoy shopping at Save Mart in Merced and Atwater BUT the deli bakery in Merced leaves ALOT to be desired. Very rude, not helpful, ignore customers until we have to tell them to take care of the long lines!! Then they are rude because we interrupt their gossip sessions on what they have planned for the evening. I ask if they carried a certain product and was told NO, WE DONT HAVE THAT!! She neither checked or asked anyone but I did find it on my own and was told DELI carries it cut up!!! Needless to say I went elsewhere to buy it so they lost a $49 dollar sale. Atwater deli is better and will at least wait on you and try to help but often seems like they have worked long hours or just want to get out of there and no smiles, just tired looking. They are alot cleaner in Atwater. Merced needs to close down a few days and CLEAN THAT GREASE PIT!! The entire stores smells of old grease and it certainly does not give me an appetite for any of their chicken.”

“I absolutely am in love with this place. I dread getting my WIC. But I got everything with no hassle and did not have to stand in line. I simply slid my WIC card. The gentlemen grab all my items. He gave me options. In less than 10 minutes, I had all my stuff! He helped me carry my groceries to the car, because I had my little one. In addition, to this he told me about their new app and curbside pickup. I am going to try this next month and will let you know how it works.Cons: Limited selection of produce and Lactose milk is a bit different than the other kind I usually get.”

“I love Save Mart's great selection of vegetables and fruits. If it's something uncommon I almost always find it here. Their meat dept. Is also quite nice, and they will cut meats to order if asked. Save Mart also has excellent sale prices on various items each week, but they aren't always particularly assiduous in maintaining their stock of those items during the stated time-frames of the sale, nor do they issue rain-checks for the missing items.”
